GRADF High General | FRA Arch Chancellor Posts: 10,045 Group: The Architect Member #179 Joined: January 3, 2006 Nation name: Joe Bobs	The US have said (I believe it was Rumsfeld) that there will be no ground invasion of Iran, as their troops are stretched in Iraq as it is. However, it's not unlikely that they'll go back on their word. Airstrikes will be the main weapon I should think. L&H is very right that Iran will be no easy foe. Their influence is the middle east is second only to the Saudi's, and their armies are large. If the US did carry out a ground invasion, it could cost many lives, and the government probably couldn't suffer the negative publicity after Iraq. My personal answer to all middle eastern problems is this: give it back to the Muslims, pack your bags and stop causing all this war! It was their's first, just let 'em keep it. All there is a whole lotta sand. All that oil will have run out in 15 years anyway. And who cares about religious sites? If God is omnipresent, what does one site matter? The middle east conflict isn't down to religion or wealth or oil, it's just pride. Neither side wants to lose a war that's lasted thousands of years. The bigger man is one that can walk away from a fight with his head held high.
