| Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums! Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register. Join our Community Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system. I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way. Getting Started If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features. |

You don't like short and sweet? Well... I got the impression he wanted to sound revolutionary and original rather than actually said something valid. He wants to be controversial. Which is a shame because the actual writting is quite well done, don’t you think? The syntax is generally appropriate and I had no major issues with the lexis. The organisation was fairly sophisticated and seemed as though it was clearly thought through. |

I meant on the subject matter. His idea that we would be better off under the "American Empire" is flawed. I do agree however that the USA is an empire and one in denial. I did not know how Fragile there economy is and tbh I find that hard to believe. I take issue with is view the the British Empire was benign (my word) and I also disagree with his view on what the European Union is about. |

I very much agree with you there (the "he wants to be shocking extravaganza"!)
I think you are both Wrong. You and Ferguson give the USA too much credit/or not enough depending on how you look at it. |

How can the US be an empire if there is no colonization involved?? I mean we go in we topple the old gov't suggest and new one and then leave. That is all he said we are doing, even giving examples of how that isn't working for us economically or militarily and yet we are still doing it. Our US gov't is either totally stupid (which it is) or we are not working under the philosophy of any empire. Love and Honour Posted on Aug 28 2006, 11:24 PM
Ask any american and they will tell you. we are all poor and the only thing our gov't is concerned about is the Iraqi's and the poor in Africa. It is better for them to give billions in aid and war abroad than at home. |
