Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Christ, you do enjoy missing the point.

It is open to limited interpretation, if it wasn't there would be no protestentism, there would be no Ahmish, no Mormons (probably for the best :P), no methodists and no seventh day adventists, there would be no Counter reform Catholics, no baptists, no Anglicans and no Lutherists. Every Christian would be a Roman Catholic, because nobody would ever take the bible differently to how it was first interpreted.

However all these different sects of chiristianity are still intrinsicaly the same (exept mormonism) and hold generaly the same beliefs and generaly the same morals.

 It really wouldn't surprise me if him, Commie Martin and L+H held a conference like the Iranian holocaust one and started saying that.

I would classify LH, Comrade Martin and Ath into different categories.

LH is occasionally a stubborn and misguided moralist.

Comrade Martin likes to deny facts and believe in falsehoods.

Ath is.....wow....words fail me...."complete moron", "having a victim-complex", and "asshole" just don't quite get the esscence of Ath....they're simply not strong enough....

P.I. you are a dumb fuck. Children nature isn't to question and fight what they are taught. Children are generally very impressionable, [from small children to pre-teens and some teens], teachings of any religion in an attempt to convert the child are wrong and won't teach them 'how to resist'.

Watch Jesus Camp if you want proof of how impressionable children can be. Children don't even fully understand the concept of god and religion.

Religion is taught in churches and should stay that way. The whole point of church is for a place for people to meet and learn about religion. Not schools.

And if you are one of those bible thumpers that believe religion should be taught in school. And you view atheism and theory of evolution as a religion that is being taught in schools [apart from the fact thats stupid], you should home school your children or send em to a church.

Once again my argument may sound like I'm an atheist but I'm not, I just find 'religion pushers' disgusting. They are often people who through a thick layer of self-told lies and deceit are really very insecure in their religion and only act.

To be christian is to be persecuted for it, without fighting back.

Are you sure about that?"Children" can understand it.It just that they care not to.Instead they learn about other things.Like those hollywood stars.

You obviously haven the faintest idea of what you are talking about f4u. Religion to be fully understood you need fully developed mind. Of course there are plenty of adults with supposedly developed minds who mis-interpret and misunderstand religion. But children no matter how smart they are, have not developed their mind to fully understand things like philosophy and religion. These are higher concepts. Believe me I ain't making this shit up, I've seen this.

As for media and hollywood stars, they don't understand that either. See you are confusing knowledge of something with understanding. For example a child may know how a cow looks like and how it moves and what sound it makes and be able to describe all that. But I understand what a cow is.

There are rare exceptions to this but most children know but don't fully understand.

What they see on TV is just a message repeated to them and it influences them. Children learn mostly by example from adults. If their only model of adults is on television while their parents work then media will badly influence them.

See some people blame bad children on media, or parents, or society I say the blame rests on everybody's shoulders. Many parents these days don't understand before they have a child that to be a good parent you have to change your life in order to fit another person in it. Many young couples think oh its amazing we'll have children, and after some time the 'novelty' of having a child wears of and the parents lose interest in the child. They of course work as much as if they were still single and don't have time to parent their child.

Society is to blame in part for that and for the fact that some parents have to work a lot. Others work more then then they have to.

Then of course the child is at the whim of media and society, in school the child learns a lot of negative social skills. They haven't learned and proper social skills from their parents that would protect and offset the crap they learned at school. [not in class but among students], then they come home and watch TV, without limit.

Honestly in my opinion there should be licenses, and tests and training for people that want to be parents. Kind of like when you want to drive a car. You have to go through a lot of crap before you can drive. A child is more important then a car and there is no licensing and tests for bringing a child into the world and raising it. We would certainly see a lot less idiots.

Let alone putting up a menorah isn't really an attack on Christian values,

It could easily be interpreted as such...

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Jews betrayed Jesus, how tastefull is it to put up the symbol of one religion next to the symbol of another that betrayed and killed the prophet of the other?

You bigoted fool. So the Jews shall remain forever culpable for something their ancestors *supposedly* did, so their religious symbols should not be displayed in public?

Let alone PLENTY of Jews (including myself) see Jesus as one of the world's greatest teachers, just not the Jewish Messiah or divine in any way.

-----------

And in the modern world, religion is spread by stregnthening preexisting faiths, not destroying them.

Just so you proselytizers learn something.

Sigh, I said that is how some people would interpret it, I didn't say I interpreted it as such. Everyone else seemed to realise that why couldn't you before jumping to a conclusion that I am a racist?

People keep making Britain appologise for slavery and Empire. Slavery was 199 years ago.
People keep making the Germans appologise for the holocaust, even though there are very few of the perpertrators around today. That was 60 years ago
Nobody lets the Japs forget about Nanking and WW2. Nanking was 65 years ago.
People perminantly victimise the Catholic church for the crusades and the Inquisition.

It could ***EASILY*** be interpreted as such...

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Jews betrayed Jesus, how tastefull is it to put up the symbol of one religion next to the symbol of another that betrayed and killed the prophet of the other?

Dup,

Do you agree with this statement or not? That putting up a menorah can **easily** be interpreted as an attack on Christianity because it can **easily** be said that the Jews killed Jesus?

If not, why did you post?

---------

And Old Z, when you said that people unhappy with America being a Christian nation should leave, that implies that immigrants bringing other traditions along with them should leave if they threaten to overrun the Christian majority.

My advice to both of you:

Please think before you write, as your comments can ***easily*** be interpreted as bigotry against other religions.

And the horrible, incessant attacks on Ath's beliefs needs to stop now. I know that Ath hasn't been too nice to your beliefs either, but talking down to him only makes Ath think less towards religion in general.

And no PI, saying that that teacher should have tried to convert me is an attack on my culture and beliefs.

-----

One more thing,

That teacher I told you about was very gentle towards trying to convert me. She aimed to stregnthen my faith in my previous religion in order to get me to move towards Christianity, telling me that Jesus died for my sins and was part divine afterwards. I knew she was trying to convert me because she was the one who always started our conversations about religion, and would preach about Jesus in the classroom only when I was present (I was the only non-Christian in the entire class save for one Muslim and one Atheist Jew; FYI I'm agnostic).

She retired the following year. Altogether I actually liked her the best among all my elementary school teachers because she exempted me from the preschool-level spelling assignments she had to hand to people and took an interest in my full capabilities overall, but she didn't have to proselytize to me either.

If you want to convert people, follow her example. It works alot better than the way you are all doing it. Trust me.
