Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

And Old Z, when you said that people unhappy with America being a Christian nation should leave, that implies that immigrants bringing other traditions along with them should leave if they threaten to overrun the Christian majority.

My advice to both of you:

Please think before you write, as your comments can ***easily*** be interpreted as bigotry against other religions.

And the horrible, incessant attacks on Ath's beliefs needs to stop now. I know that Ath hasn't been too nice to your beliefs either, but talking down to him only makes Ath think less towards religion in general.

Thank you mommy. Why don't you go look down your nose at some other people who actually care?

Attacks on Ath stop? Umm....no....

If you actually read any of this forum, you'd see that he asks for it at every turn....

"Arov" is a Hebrew word for the Plague of Darkness.

my sarcasm was true!

But the idea of a Plague of Darkness is also found in Christianity.

It doesn't really matter wether I agree with it. I was merely countering the previous statement that it was not an attack on christian values by showing an interpretation that some christians my get out of it (Mel Gibson for example).

If you want to convert people, follow her example. It works alot better than the way you are all doing it.

Nobody here is trying to covert anybody. The less I have in common with Ath the better.

Lastly, how can you have an Atheist Jew. You can be one or the other, not both.

Most Jews think of Judaism as more of a culture than a religion, this is their excuse for being Atheist Jews, Christian Jews, Muslim Jews, etc.

definition of religion: a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects.

So anyone can have religion even a child. They may not exactly know what they are doing when they pray but it is a learning process.

And I thought the Romans killed Jesus. I could be mistaken but I believe he was tried under Roman Courts and sentenced by Pontias Pilate (sp) That is all I remember of my Catholic upbringing.

nope, the romans did nothing, thus why Pilate "washed his hands" of the whole thing.
He had the power to refuse the Jewish authority from punishing Jesus but he thought best he should just "wash his hands of it" and let the Jewish Priests do what they would with Jesus, in a public vote a serial killer was set free in place of Jesus's innocence. So to answer your questions, no, the romans didn't kill Jesus the Jews did. Also Crucification was more of a Jewish Authoritative punishment.

Oh?

I thought it was how it worked in the Middle Ages. You know, where the religious authority (being the Jewish Elders, I forget the name of their specific body) determines guilt/innocence, but the secular authority must carry out the sentence.

Not in all cases, the Jewish Elders did have their own fleet of soldiers, mind you.

Wikipedia

This form of execution was widely practiced in the Roman Empire, though similar methods were invented in the ancient culture of Persia.[1]

Crucifixion was used by the Romans until about AD 313, when Christianity was legalized in the Roman Empire and soon became the official state religion. However, it has been used in various places in modern times.

Right.

But, technically, while the Jews convicted him, the people that actually carried out the conviction, the crucifixion, were Roman soldiers.

Yea but thats like blaming the knife for the stabbing. The Romans didn't want to kill Jesus.

Anyway, I am sure Arov will be along soon to accuse JW and I of being racist.

A bit off-topic but does it seem like the rest of the forum has basically stalled to a stand still while the debates one is quite busy.

Ya. Its cause we have no government. No one is making bills for the people to object to. There is no executive carrying out illegal practices. There is no judiciary making rulings on personal feelings without any legal justification.

Nothing happening...

Jewish isn't really a race, now is it?

Historically, it has been considered as such.
