Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

I personally feel Lincoln was the best out of them all. Regan was good but not great like Lincoln. He overcame adversity in becoming President and had to deal with a civil war.

What does every one else think?

Yay Canada...and trained your pilots, built your planes, and sent our own troops and pilots over. Canada was in fact one of the biggest allied training grounds for pilots and others.

And of course the famous Devils Brigade I believe it was called. The joint U.S./Canada commandos.

The guerrilla resistance in the Balkans and Greece was fierce. Italy embarrassed itself when it tried to invade Greece through Albania. [not exact numbers] a thousand or so Greeks with no planes or artillery beat like 60k Italians.

I didn't say you did. I'm glad you mentioned it. Canada often gets forgotten when talking about the world wars. But for such a small population and economy in its time it certainly did more then its fair share in the war effort.

Thats why everyone likes Canada. You did all this to help us and you don't come along and say 'we saved your arses in the war' etc, you don't permanantly demand that glory be heaped upon you for doing it and you don't make films which fail to achnowledge the men of other countries fought or died in the war. Unlike a certain Southern neighbor.

Remember I said I don't like reminding you of that, but when you say stuff like:

"one day America will need our support for an action and I will fully support not giving them it to even the score."

and become a denier of the past, you need to be set right.

Personally, if I had been in charge of America during either the First or Second World War, I would have been an isolationist. America, especially before the First World War, didn't and doesn't have any responsibility to police the world or help anyone out. We didn't and don't have the right to interfere. I would have left Europe to work its own problems out.

If that meant the end of any of the Great Powers of old, thats not my problem.

You realise that you were attacked first by the Japs in WW2 and the Germans declared war on you. Not the other way around, wasn't really much of a choice. In WW1 they were sinking your ships, killing your civilians, and trying to get Mexico to invade the US, again, a bit much to say "Oh I would have just kept out of it".

When did I deny the past. The suiz crisis was much more recent than WW2, thus it takes precident. Regardless the US was acting purely out of self interest in WW2.

That is what we call a 'strategic retreat'.

Doesn't matter what our interest was, what matters is what we did.

I don't have the knowledge to debate this but I do have one point to make about Reagan. He made catsup a vegetable so the cost of school lunches would be cheaper. There's greatness for you.

As for Lincoln I wonder what would have become of the South if he hadn't been shot.

And again I agree with Old Z. Isolationism is in order. Let's keep all our money and forces home and tell the world to fuck off for a few years.

Here! Here!

Lincoln on the South:

As far as I remember, I think he was for a forgiveness/reconstruction plan that would have rebuilt the South and not punished it. But I'm really not sure.

Maybe Lincoln is more like the potentially best Republican President.

You wouldn't have to send them out anyway had you not forced the Europeans to disband their empires.

The funny thing is, is that a big part of the world actually wants you to 'fuck off for a few years'. But see America's political climate is a bit different now, the culture as a whole has gotten used to being a super power for about a generation or two now and they are doing everything they can to keep it that way [the government].

I'm not Canadian born but living here over 10 years sorta makes you a bit more than just a citizen. So regardless of where I was born I gotta say 'amen' and thank you for that. I guess Canada is just a bit more modest then our friends down below.
