Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

FBI papers document abuse of detainees by military

FBI agents have documented more than two dozen incidents of possible mistreatment at the Guantanamo Bay military base, including a detainee whose head was wrapped in duct tape for chanting verses from the Koran.

He was expressing religious views in a public building. If people can't put Christmas decorations up in government buildings, why should he have been allowed to chant out religious verses? Has to be either everyone or no-one, why should there be double standards?

Granted they were a bit excessive by taping the entire face up, but he was still wrong by expressing religious views on government premises. I'd like it if everyone was allowed to express their views, but he shouldn't be allowed to if other religions and people of the same religion are not.

I didn't defend it. I said, and I quote, "Granted they were a bit excessive by taping the entire face up" and "I'd like it if everyone was allowed to express their views". I'm merely saying that everyone but athiests are persecuted because of their faith these days. It doesn't make it any more acceptable, but it makes it less shocking.

 Oh, it was only a LITTLE extreme to tape up somebody's face with duct tape, because chanting the Koran as you are being tortured is just like asking to put a menorah up in a public building.

What the hell are you talking about? How is putting a menorah up in an airport like chanting the Koran while you are being tortured?

So does putting a menorah up in an airport mean that atheism is being spread and the religious are being trampled on?

Firstly, get it right, the correct term is "candle holder".

Secondly, I don't care about the candle holder, the fact is the Christmas tree was taken down. Oppression against Christians!

Edit: and I was joking about it being called a candle holder before you or L+H start going: "OMGZ, lolz teh PI is untolerant unlike us lefteez! lolz!!!!1!!!"

L&H, U-ropa is considered a Democrat by US standards, just for his social stances.

He wouldn't defend torture like Bush would.

and what relevance does that have to him assuming that i will defend supposed infringements of human rights?

actually ignore that.

he can answer that himself.
