Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Titan Has Liquid Lakes, Scientists Report in Nature

Titan Has Liquid Lakes, Scientists Report in Nature

(Source: JPL)

The existence of oceans or lakes of liquid methane on Saturn's moon Titan was predicted more than 20 years ago. But with a dense haze preventing a closer look it has not been possible to confirm their presence. Until the Cassini flyby of July 22, 2006, that is.

Scientists report definitive evidence of the presence of lakes filled with liquid methane on Saturn's moon Titan in this week's journal Nature cover story.

Looks like extremely long odds that there is no form of life outside of our little planet now.

The presence of water massively increases the chances of life on another planet. It means that theoretically it is unlikely that life doesn;t exist somewhere or other else whereas without water the chances are very poor. The door to panspermia certainly seems to be opening up again.

O sure I see what you mean. But maybe some race delvope diffently in respond to the lack of water on their home planet?Or maybe they only need a small amount of it.After all it doesn't have to be intellengence(sp) life. We do know their single cell life on Mars.

That is hotly contested claim.

There were strong claims late 70s but not proven beyond reasonable doubt. Several claims of live on meteorites have been made but again proof beyond reasoble doubt has not been presented.

Its generally accepted that mars was inhabitable at some point but that does not mean it was or is inhabited now.

Lets not forget we are going by what has happened here on Earth for now. There are perhaps billions if not beyond trillions of other planets.

There is talk of a multiverse which has been suggest by M-theory. I think the chances that there is life are smaller then anyone here winning the lottery.

About Europa I feel that it's great that they found liquid. It means there is enough energy get to the planet to make liquids possible. Hopefully there is life. As we have seen with marine life, life can live in some harsh and crude places that we know of.

As I said before. It seems very likely that live either does exist or has existed somewhere elsewhere BUT it's not proven beyond reasonable doubt and it certainly isn't fact.
