| Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums! Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register. Join our Community Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system. I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way. Getting Started If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features. |

Is that an intentional avoidence of the book or just not bother to read it? |

Please, never say the HP words again. The woman who writes them literally has verbal diarrhea. How many books has she churned out now? I've read about 4 and they're all the same, boring, simple crap. |

Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter! How many books has Anne Rice churned out? How many has Dan Brown? How many did Sir Arthur Connan Doyle? Or Roal Dahl? They all have verbal diarrhea too? |

I have no idea who Anne Rice is. Dan Brown does yes, his books are comparable to Harry Potter in their absolute shittiness. Conan Doyle and Dahl actually had skill and could write interesting stories, those are both abilities that Rowling lacks. |

Anne Rice wrote the series of books including (the two which where made into films) Queen of the damned and interview with a vampire. IMO they were not amongst her best works however. Loads of people have read the harry potter books and have approved. Are you sure she is not just aiming her books at a audience of people who are not you? |

Pretty much... I think the adults who read the series are kinda sad (sniggers at L&H's list) but then I guess I am nearing the title of "Adult". But I read the first one when I was younger (8 or 9) and thought it was good. I read the second before I was 10 and then struck with the series. Now I am 17 reading the new book when it comes into the library costs me one maybe 2 nights of gental reading so its been worth going through the last 2 books and I intend to read the final one. |

I stopped reading them when I was about 13 or 14. When the last one came out there was the usual rush to go out and buy it the midnight it came out and on some TV program, I think it was Have I Got News For You there was a clip of some middle age bloke that looked like a paedo saying about how he and his wife were so happy to have got the book. I can only imaginge L+H as that bloke now. |

I thought the books were good since her audience is 14 and under. There is not too much character development but that is because the audience she intended is not interested. I have read all of them and thought that the script writers did well althought did leave out a bit of stuff btw harry and ron in the goblets book. You have to remember who the audience is before you can beat the book up. |
