Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Wtf is wrong with people?

Why the hell shouldn't they be allowed to make people sign a statement of beliefs? And why the hell would non-Christians even want to join? I wouldn't join a Jewish or Muslim group, or Fundemental Athiests International or anything, and even if I wanted to I wouldn't care if they objected, in fact, I'd hope they would.

I hope the guild gets ripped to shreds in court and gets taken to the cleaners financially.

But wait, this one's even better:

The CU added that the Guild raised concern at the words men and women, as it could be seen as excluding transsexual/transgender people.

Wtf? Is there a large number of these people wishing to join the Christian Union all of a sudden? Are transgendered people really that much of a problem? Is there even any at the University of Birmingham?

Madness is what this is. Thank God that Christians are now standing up against athiest oppression.

Another example of Political Correctness gone mad. This is not about athiest oppression though, this is about men in suits wanting to be "PC" and thinking that people will be offended when they will not be. Its like renaming Christmas, Winter Holiday or something.

Unfortunately, in the US, the universities and schools would have the law on their side. Because these christian unions accept funds from the schools, and by way of the schools, the government, they would have to accept anyone. Equal opportunity.

I don't quite know the legal situation in Britain, though...

You know, there was actually a school, here in my home state, that gave up all government funds to keep their religious views. Was a Supreme Court case, I believe. Grove City College. Lemme look it up.

Acutally, I was a little wrong.

The school had to reject all federal funds to remain free of federal regulation, specifically, Title IX. Title IX is something to do with gender equality on college campuses.

I suppose religious views could be included as a reason why the college went to court, but it was mostly because of Title IX.

It's the student union they're taking to court, not the university though, i think. But I don't have a clue about the inner workings of universities. Are student guilds associated with he actual uni at all?

In my primary school they used to try and get us to say prayers and sing hyms and that. I got suspended at one point because I refused to do so and my dad had to go in to shout at my teacher for a bit so they'd get the point.
