Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

I dislike people who use images of injured or dead soldiers for political gain. I find them to be some of the lowest of people.

Wouldn;t it be great if the president was impeached? And the Chief Justice with him... Be funny just to see it happen....

Isn't that the best thing about politics? The nice sounding words; Impeached, Filibuster, cloture? Any excuse to say'em...

I'll do it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Lynch

Quote:

Months after returning, Lynch finally began speaking to the public. Her statements tended to be sharply critical of the original story presented by the Pentagon. When asked about her hero status, "That wasn't me. I'm not about to take credit for something I didn't do ... I'm just a survivor."

She denied the claims that she fought until being wounded, reporting that her weapon jammed immediately, and that she could not have done anything anyway. Interviewed with Diane Sawyer, Lynch stated, concerning the Pentagon: "They used me to symbolize all this stuff. It's wrong. I don't know why they filmed [my rescue] or why they say these things". She also stated "I did not shoot, not a round, nothing. I went down praying to my knees. And that's the last I remember." She reported excellent treatment in Iraq, and that one person in the hospital even sang to her to help her feel at home.

An NBC TV movie depicting Lynch's ambush and rescue, Saving Jessica Lynch, was aired in the U.S. on November 9, 2003, starring Laura Regan as Lynch. In an interview published in the August 15, 2005 Time magazine, Lynch stated that she saw some of it, but that the inaccuracies in it upset her enough so, that she did not finish watching all of it. She added that she may watch the entire film some day.

No, Dick Cheyney would then be in charge.

Touche... we'd all have to put on darth Vader masks and speak with pictures of Sauron's great eye behind us if Jon Stewart is right...

Supream Court Justices can be impeached its just alot of effort so no one has of yet bothered (also, excluding G.W.Bush's attempts to appoint his own lawyer, presidents do not make appointments lightly niether are they passed without close thought from Congress et al)

All federal judges (district, circuit, or Supreme court) are appointed by the President for a term of good behavior, which is a lifetime appointment subject to Congressional impeachment (for bad behavior). It very seldom happens (usually only if the judge in question has committed a crime), and to my knowledge, the House of Representatives has never impeached a Supreme Court justice.

We're allowed an opinion though. Saying we're not allowed an opinion is like saying that none of us can think Mahmoud Ahmedinejad is a nutter, just because we aren't Iranian.

My personal opinion is that while Bush has screwed almost everything up so far, he was still the better candidate at the 2004 elections at least and it would be disterous to impeach him.

I think you guys have proved you are clearly not capable of deciding your president should be... I mean fiar enough everyone makes mistakes so I guess you can be forgiven for voting in that pratt the first time around... But then to elect his son... And to do it twice... That's 3 terrible decsions there... (no one mention Mr.Blair's 3 elections!!)
