Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Defiant Tsvangirai to 'fight on

Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has pledged to continue his "struggle" after he and other activists were beaten while in police custody

This just makes me sick

Mugabe has joined the long list of dictator (inc, the European ones) that have raped this Continent of its potential.

The Socialists in Tanzania have installed democracy and have been the driving force in attempting to put a democracy inplace in Uganda. They have also been the long term critics of Zimbawe's Mugabe (long before any other world leaders). The government in Tanzania fought a war (which all commentators agreed they could not win) to ensure the genocide of Guratan and Hindi Africans had to stop. Now their are elections and a (comparatively) stable economy (and they are one of the temporary members of the UN security council I think).

Mugabe beats his oponents and tortures people who critise him.

Which do you prefer? You support the guy who models himself on Hitler.

On Friday Zanu-PF announced that Mr Mugabe would be its candidate next year, and that parliamentary elections, scheduled for 2010, will be brought forward by two years to coincide with the presidential poll.

Next year's poll would allow the president to say in power until 2013, when he would be nearly 90.

Ah Africa, the world's shit hole.

A simple solution? Withdraw all aid to them and let them sort it out. Should an a nation become democratic and stable, resume aid to that single nation, however those with corrupt regimes, splintered democracy, and non stop in-fighting get nothing till its sorted out.

Sure it would mean the death of potentially millions, but the problem would be solved eventually, and a lot cheaper for taxpayers in the west.

Shocking... TRE's little mind has taken a complex issue and tried to RP it...

A. Africa is not as you say the "world's shit hole" it is a continent in which some parts are moving forward with some speed... Certain Eastern european place have a better cliam... As does the USA but hey...

B. That is the general policy at present... shock horror it doesn;t work...

C. When we try to be more forceful with the policy (and actually stop giving aid to corrupt nations) China/Russia sets up shop (remind anyone of any other situation?)

Though the sentiment Africa is the only one who can really help Africa is, in many ways , true (as I think i said some time ago)

Well hence why it needs to be a unitied effort, such as done through the UN, so rogue nations dont support them. However Russia and China seem to be too self centered to be bothered with it.

In all honesty ill say this, Africa at this point is incurable of what troubles it. No matter what western nations do, there will be no end to the horrors, wars, and corruption that take place on the continent. The only thing that can help it is if nations butt out of Africa and leave it the hell alone.

Well, if global warning takes off like they say it will, life on the African continent could be wiped out in 20 years.

It's true. I didn't say it was a good or bad thing, I left you all to judge the statement as you will. Which you did.

If global warming turns out like they say it would I'm living in the best country for it. Canada. We'll get more farmland except that our coastal cities will be flooded. But I think building a huge barrier from our southern pals to stop the impeding rush of American immigrants. Moving further north and enjoying our beautiful unspoiled country as if it was paradise while the rest of the world burns... Oh Canada, our home and native land...la, la, la, la, lala.
