| Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums! Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register. Join our Community Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system. I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. Divine Empire of Ramamar General and Economy Population: 5,000,000 National Motto: THESE ARE THE WORDS OF THE DIVINE EMPEROR Civil Rights: Very Good Economy: Developing Political Rights: Excellent Government Priority: Religion and Spirituality ($1,578,987,637.50/ 26%) Exchange Rate: 6.5787 haroki = $1 Major Industries: Beef-Based Agriculture Private Sector Status: Almost Nonexistent National Animal: Wolf Currency: Harok Government Government Type: Constitutional Monarchy Head of State and Government: Divine Emperor Current Head of Government: Amekal Sellov Government Branches: Ecumenical Council, House of Representatives, National Assembly Positions Elected vs. Appointed: The Divine Emperor is the founder of the nation: succession is not spoken of, for the Divine Emperor, it is hoped, will never die. The Ecumenical Council is composed of ordained ministers of the faith, elected by all clergy, and approved by the Divine Emperor. The House is composed of one representative for each municipal council in the nation. The National Assembly is composed of delegates elected by evenly-apportioned districts, and must be approved by the Ecumenical Council. Terms: The Divine Emperor is a life term, the Ecumenical Council is a ten year term, the House of Representatives is a four year term, and the National Assembly is a 5 year term. Legislative Process: If any two houses approve a law, it is then sent to the Divine Emperor. He chooses to either sign or not sign it. If he does not sign it, it is sent back to the houses, and all three houses must agree on it, and two of them must get a 2/3 majority. Economy Leading Companies: 1. Ramamar National News and Media Corporation- Largest (heavily subsidized) news network and newspaper in Ramamar. 2. Holy Steel Industries- Largest steel company in Ramamar. 3. Green Fields Beef and Livestock- Largest agricultural corporation in Ramamar. Commerce Subsidies: No direct subsidies are given at this time, however, the Church of the Divine Light heavily subsidizes some industries. History The nation of Ramamar was ruled by, essentially, a military dictatorship. At first it was tolerated, as it was the government which united the nation and freed them from colonial rule. However, over time, the people grew unhappy with it. Underground resistance began. The utter lack of support provided for the people resulted in churches and other charities taking on a large role in social order and support. So, logically, when the people rebelled, the church was a major part. Eventually, during the civil war, the Church of the Divine Light became the leading revolutionary group, and finally became the ruling government of Ramamar. Military The Ramamarian Host is the military branch of Ramamar. There are currently 300,000 servicemen in it. The Ramamarian navy is quite weak, with only one cruiser which is almost entirely relegated to patrolling the harbor of Razmopolis and it's narrow coastal area for smugglers. That cruiser is a Slava class cruiser, fully equipped and outfitted, and well-kept. The navy is small, but what there is of it is well kept. There are also numerous smaller naval vehicles used for coast patrol. The Ramamarian airforce consists of 36 Su-27's and numerous helicopters of various size and make. The Ramamarian army consists of numerous infantry units, which are highly devoted and experienced, as well as six battalions of armor, three heavy artillery regiments, and six battalions of mechanized infantry. |

I've been in NS since... gosh, about a year now. In case you didn't catch the drift of my nation intro: it's a radically socialist theocracy. |

If you're looking for RP regions there are loads... The South Pacific, Noca Atlantica, Caprecia are just a few. Although I'm not a fan of RPing, it creates activity, and brings in new members, which is why I'd like to see the GRA RP again. |

I'm actually not heavily into RPing in the sense of RPing national events, etc, etc. I do sometimes, but not a ton. What I really like to do is constant RP- RP during political maneuvering, RP by changing the way I "speak," RP by having my nation's politics acted out rather than my personal politics. I personally am not at all like Ramamar, but it's a fun nation to play anyways. I've watched Caprecia, and was in it for a while, and enjoyed it. New Liberalia is fun, I have one there now. And, of course, I have to launch the sales pitch for my home region I founded- the Democracy of Sovereign States. |

Why yes indeed. Though, as I said, I'm native to the DSS... eventually sent a nation to New Liberalia... wanted to have some fun with a nation that's VERY different from my previous nations, and he mentioned this region. I said I'd try it out, and here I am, and now you all get to hear the words of the divine emperor. |

I don't want to hear those words. Plus your supposed to act like yourself on forums like this unless in a RP section. It's just stupid to do it outside of it. |

Political parties, politics, governmental things... that's all roleplay. OOC forums I am me. IC forums I am the Divine Emperor, and you'll probably hear his words occasionally. |
