Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Join our Community

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Hello, everyone.

I got an email from the Zetaboard admin yesterday saying I should swing by. I don't know how or why, since I don't remember ever having an account here!

Anyway, I figure I may as well swing by, see what you guys are up to, and be a general little liberal prat in the debates section (you know, if you don't mind).

Cheerio, pip pip, hurrah and all that,
Defec

I was thinking that, since I remember having a right good debate with Joe Bobs on the Canada boards... but when I tried logging in with said account, the board claimed it didn't exist!

Don't think I've ever had the pleasure(?) of meeting you before. So anyway, g'day.

I'm a liberal atheist in Canada's bible-belt. I've been called the lot from "godless heathen, hell-bent on the destruction of moral society" (gay marriage isn't cool, apparently), to a "lying, scum-sucking little socialist twat". ... because I said we should put more government money (out of our $15bn surplus, in a province of 3 million) into health care.

I'm pretty immune, really. :P

Cheerio. I've been out of the game a bit, so no one knows me any more. It's great, because no one remembers all the trouble I've caused.

God this board has some great emoticons.

Just watch your back. This place is almost like Cuba now.

Except Uropa doesn't have the cigars like Fidel. And nobody is trying to leave the GRA on a boat.

Are you talking American 'liberal' or real liberal?

I've already been given 10/1 odds I'm next in the gulag. Care to make a wager?

Depends. I can only judge it on the basis of what political systems I know.

I'm further left than the Democrats, and about as far left as the Canadian Liberals (though their carbon tax plan is useless), with occasional instances where I've been known to agree with the NDP (our resident socialist party).

American 'liberal' then. Real liberals are more like what you'd call libertarian.

Ah, alright. We define it differently - Old versus New Liberal. Old Liberals were in the style of the original Liberal thinkers of the Reformation and the early years of the Industrial Revolution. New Liberals are more in the style of John Maynard Keynes - in which case, aye, I'm a 'new liberal'. B)

EDIT: But I hate deficit spending.

I ran the gambit of positions in North Pacific, having been present at the beginning of the region's rise and through its heyday. I was also present for some time in the region Canada, isolated and insular as it was.

That's really about it, asides from random forums I lurked on as ambassador.

Glad you stopped by! I haven't met you before, unfortunately, but that is easily remedied.

Sincerley,

The Higher Rising, who is currently wishing that NationStates had come up in a conversation 3 or 4 years ago in stead of a few months ago.
