| Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums! Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register. Join our Community Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system. I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way. Getting Started If you're already a member please log in to your account to access all of our features. |

In the Government A brand new bunch of shiny headers for ministries and their ministers has been whipped up, at the instigation of First Minister Tycholand. Credit also goes out to Tarlisea, who created them. The Multi-Citizenship Act is coming under discussion, with clauses being added to deal with mass-migration from other regions, as occurred with the AoSS. This is designed to make any future interactions where dying regions wish to voluntarily assimilate themselves into Equilism more streamlined, with less issues for both sides and no need for lengthy 3 month treaty talks. In addition, a posting position for the Equilism WA Delegate in the cabinet/council area is being discussed. Because of the peculiar way the job is allocated in the constitution, this has only recently come up as an issue. Those who've discussed the proposal people are in favour of this change, on the basis that Kubrikistan is such a nice guy. That and they think that the WAD is important because they are an important representative of the region in game. World Assembly Results There was much discussion of the vote ‘Commend a Mean Old Man’. Most people agreed with the person, but not the resolution, meaning there was a roughly even split of Against and Abstain votes. This made for interesting times, during which we’ve determined that the Security Council Forum on the Official Forums is where all the action’s at. I can’t be bothered researching and putting down the other votes that have passed. That’s right, you’re reading the FA ministers laziness. What a privilege! Domestic Affairs Due to the resignation of Dyr Nasad, the First Minister looked for new applicants for the job in DA. Rumor has it there were cookie incentives for those who applied, thus bringing forth Grand Kierania to return to his position from last term. Also, an employment agency for Equilismers wanting a job has sprung up. Expect employment statistics to come out soon! General news: Tycholand and The Monkye have celebrated their 7000 and 8000 post milestones respectively in the last week. Well done to them both! Sports, Zel’s Birthday, people’s thoughts and a fantasy cricket league have also been on people’s tongues in the Bar – General Discussion area. We love our sport, or at least the Oceania contingent do. The Debate and Current Affairs subforums have seen Racism, Gene Patents, Human Rights for animals and the Tea Party movement brought up, while Felasia has given us a local’s eye view of the violence gripping Thailand. We’re more intellectual than a university café in Equilism, if you believe all these topics. In the picture threads, everyone is telling everyone else how attractive they are, which by extension makes Equilism the most attractive region in nationstates, and possibly the universe. And The Monkye has been filtering through pictures of his trip to America. Games and Fun Guys vs Gals has remained popular, with AoMK single handedly keeping the girls from stealing the secret weapon. The Post Game, Beer game and a new ‘Find the Thread’ game have also kept us entertained. Role Playing The World RP’s have been steadily moving along, lead by All of Man Kind and Randgriz. And probably some other people too. Also, Tycholand has created a Fraternity, for all us university students out there. Feel free to join in the Beer Pong championships! Immigration Minister Astarial has opened up Pandora’s Box by offering actual cookies as incentives for recruiting. This has been greeted with loud cheers, and a front page news article. The debate quickly turned in to whether medicinal pot-brownies would be acceptable rewards, however, but the author wonders why the bigger question wasn’t asked: Why not use the cookies to plug the Deepwater Horizon oil leak? Their deliciousness would obviously overpower the incredible pressures of those depths. Foreign Affairs The FA Minister has done a little bit more than FA. Yes, the pun was intended. He has been conducting an ongoing review of Equilism’s current relations, as well as reallocating the assignments of some ambassadors, and welcoming new ones. If you think it sounds busy, it really hasn’t been – this is about one days work, while the rest of the days were spent slacking/drinking in the E-Bar. And never mind the glittery graffiti scattered about the town either. E-Army Welcoming back an old friend, the E-Army has seen some action in the last week, and with its members stirring back to life, is looking to see some more in the near future. Quote of the Week: “Glitter is my favourite thing in the whole world!” -Biyah |
