The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system. I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. Ok. So people are vaguely interested: Jivdom, Old Zertaxia, Wookie, Sosostris, Senenca, love and honour. People who might be interested depending on time/RL/stuff: 0079, Joe Bobs, Lower Bowmania. the model: Each month someone chairs the book group. They select the book in the final week of the previous month. They are then responsible for ensuring the group is successful throughout the month (and choosing the following chair in the 3rd week of the month). The chair should select the next chair based on who has been most active in discussion of the present month. Book anounced: 1 week to get it -> one week to start reading -> week to discuss and continue reading -> week to finish discussion. ---------------------------------------------------------------> new chair chosen-------------------->new chair selects book. Every member has a veto that can be used at any time against a chair selection. The veto takes 3 weeks to recharge. All agreed? |

I see membership as informal so just chime in whenever the mood takes. Unless there are objections I shall chair the cycle. The book will be a classic: The Handmaids Tale (Atwood). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Handmaid's_Tale Something with lots of themes, easily available and nice to read to open things up? |

Sounds good. the book was announced on the 18th so the cycle will go 18th Book announced > 25th book attained > 1st book discussion of early chapters > 8th final discussion-> cycle 2 --------------------------------------------->next chair announced---------------->next book announced before 15th. |
