Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

This is a rundown of basic unit build-times and costs:

Soldier: 1 period: 50,000 dollars
Cruiser: 4 periods: 90,000,000 dollars
Aircraft (fighter/bomber): 2 periods: 20,000,000 dollars
Attack sub: 5 periods: 120,000,000 dollars
Nuclear sub (must develop Nuclear power first): 7 periods: 300,000,000 dollars
Attack heli: 2 periods: 12,000,000 dollars
Aircraft carrier: 7 periods: 490,000,000 dollars
Battleship: 8 periods: 360,000,000 dollars

I was last time! I built like 2 or 3 of them, one with each major Fleet I had! Hey they are great for continual not-caring-about-civilian-causalities shore bombardment :P

I believe the way it was set up before was that Tanks, artillery, and other support units were automatically integrated with new infantry divisions. And generally G-Tech tries to keep naval/air/ground forces fairly simple so that its easier on him :P

How are the logistics side of invasions going to be handled? Will we need to have transport aircraft and amphibious ships?

If you're talking about legitimate supply lines, use reason. We won't actually go into them, but don't attack Kazakhstan from New Zealand and say your troops are all getting their supplies from your uber-airforce.

As for transporting forces, we have a slightly different system. Since we don't build "troopships" per se, the assumption is that these forces exist, but are unlisted. The general rule of thumb is you can transport 1000 troops per vessel (aircraft carrier, cruiser, sub, etc) per turn. For aircraft the limit is downgraded to 100. Its not entirely realistic, but has worked pretty well in the past.

are you saying all ships carry planes? if they do, what's the point of carriers?

25. They're really mainly useful for establishing beachheads if you want to get your uber-airforce into action.

Really? I heard that Aircraft Carriers could 75-90 of them depending on the class of Aircraft Carrier, not to mention that they can carry a variety of helicopters as well.

its a different type of warfare in end war-obviously

planes can fly farther than irl, but carriers carry less of them; so you only need to make a beachhead for them to land and refuel
