Welcome to the Global Right Alliance's forums!

Firstly, you can only see a very limited amount of the forums at the moment. You will be able to see the full forums and properly participate in our region and its community when you register.

Now, on to the region itself. Don't let the name, specifically the "Right", fool you. We've got members from across the political spectrum, and our political parties have always reflected this. The Global Right Alliance (GRA), as primarily a gameplay region, has been everything from an anarchy to a monarchy to a homegrown rotatorship. The region has had such governments because of its culture, which adores political intrigue and thrives on confrontation. With the increase of the region's population, many veterans have returned. It is the beginning of a new Global Right Alliance and a new government system.

I know the forums can be quite intimidating; there's people who have been here for nearly a decade and have over 10,000 posts. However, we welcome new members and encourage them to get involved. If you want help finding your way around, we have resources to help you to get on your way.

Equilism Foreign Update

Delegate: Zeorus
Population: 120
Security Status: Woozy

In the Government
The Senate is lazily discussing a few legislative options. Having quickly passed a minor constitutional tweak which allows the Senate to delegate judicial powers, and not simply hold them, it is still holding forth on possible further amendments to clarify language and fix uncertainties. There is also some debate on establishing a bill of rights for citizens, but given the dictatorial leanings of most Equilismers, it lacks strong conviction. Last, we've gotten some work done on a new version of the legislative corrections act, but there is disagreement on whether or not to include templating under this bill.

At the World Assembly

Commend Astarial reached a vote earlier this month, and though it was sadly defeated, we were strongly in favor. The final count was 7 voting for the commend, and 4 voting for cats.

Domestic Affairs
The Equilism Winter Ball is set to kick off next weekend, starting January 5th and running for eight days. We hope to see as many of our friends from other regions present as can possibly make it! And remember to dress up, 18th century style.

Immigration
Shiny new immigration rewards were announced by Officer Hamajahala. We sure do hope they motivate folks to new heights of recruiting... like doing it at all. :P

Foreign Affairs
We finally have a nomination for the FA minister spot. It looks to be an uncontested confirmation vote, which Astarial sure ought to be able to win handily.
