Takes place during the Avian/Serpiente wars before the start of the series Both sides recovering from a harsh battle Senior warriors killed need to train new warriors Rumors of lions employed for mercenary purposes
It all started after the Maeve's coven was driven out by Kiesha for practicing black magic. The serpiente were growing steadily despite the rift between Keisha and Maeve. A new nation was growing in strength and number. They were the Avians, led by Alisdair. At first the Serpiente and Avians were willing to be civil and at least be able to talk about a mutual peace between them. Then Alisdair was stabbed in the back by a serpiente. The enraged and distraught Avians retaliated thus beginning a war between the two powerful nations. There have been attempts at peace talks from the serpiente but they are all turned down by the Avians. Both sides have suffered heavily from the almost constant fighting between them. Its been 50 years since Alisdair was stabbed in the back by a serpent, 50 years since the Avians and Serpiente began fighting. Its been a brutal time for both sides and the losses have been heavy. However the recent Battle of the Forbidden Forests have left both sides more devastated than before. The battle resulted in the loss of hundreds of soldiers on both sides and vast amounts of destruction for both nations. Both sides are recovering from the losses but its anyone's guess as to when the next battle will be. The Tigers value their peace and won't get involved in the war and the wolves and lions have been eerily quiet as of late. Can the two sides reconcile the losses? Or are the two nations doomed to fight for an eternity?
