![]() #10. Monta Ellis l Dallas Mavericks Coming in at #10 in Monta Ellis. I believe that the change from Milwaukee to Dallas will help him as he doesn't have to be the "guy" to shoot everything along with Jennings. Though he has been labeled a "shot chucker", which is proven to be true, hopefully he will shed himself of that label. Last season, he averaged 19.2 PPG, 6.0 APG and 3.9 RPG on 42% shooting. Being the 2nd man to Dirk Nowitzki now, Monta will have a lesser responsibility and be able to take better shots and become more efficient. Monta may become a 20 PPG player again like he was at Golden State and help the Mavericks get back to the playoffs again. ![]() #9. JR Smith l New York Knicks The reigning 6th Man of the Year award winner is 9th on my list. Coming off the bench, he averaged 18.1 PPG, 5.3 RPG and 2.7 APG on 42% shooting. JR was a shot chucker last season due to the fact that he was Carmelo's next best scoring option. After getting surgery on his injury that claimed to have made him play worse in the playoffs, JR should be healthy again by Opening Night. One thing that bothers me about JR is that he is very unstable off the court. He is the kinda guy who likes to party and get wasted after a game. NYC is the prime city to do this in. Rumors rumbled about JR partying during after playoff games. If JR wants to become a better player, he needs to limit his off the court activites and focus more on basketball than partying. For the Knicks sake, it would be best for him to party less if they want to make any noise in the East. ![]() #8. Eric Gordon l New Orleans Pelicans I am going to give Eric Gordon the benefit of the doubt and say he is going to stay healthy for most of the season. When he was healthy last season, he averaged 17 PPG, 3.3 APG and 1.8 RPG on 40% shooting. Gordon was in a down year, hopefully he will be healthy and will produce along with rising star Anthony Davis and PG Jrue Holiday, who is an upgrade over Greivis Vazquez. If he can stay healthy, the Pelicans will have a legit SG for the future and will make them closer to a playoff team. That if is pretty big though. ![]() #7. Klay Thompson l Golden State Warriors My #7 SG is one of the best 3 point shooters in the league. He averaged 16.6 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 2.2 APG on 42% shooting and 40% from 3 point range. Along with Stephen Curry, Thompson helped lead the Warriors back to the playoffs since the 2006-07 season. With the addition of Andre Iguodala to the Warriors team, Thompson has another facilitator to give him more 3 point attempts. Thompson played better in the postseason, averaging 15.2 PPG on 44% shooting and 42% from 3 point range. If Thompson can shoot like he did in the playoffs, it wouldn't be surprising if Thompson made the jump to be a 20 PPG player with Curry and Iguodala feeding him the ball. The Warriors are looking better than ever and are looking to advance farther in the West than they did last season. ![]() #6. Manu Ginobli l San Antonio Spurs Manu Ginobli is #6 on my list. After a horrible Finals performance, I am sure he will rebound from it and become his usual self. With father time catching up to him, his minutes have been reduced to keep him healthy and ready for the playoffs due to the fact he is 36 years old. Coming off the bench for the Spurs, he averaged 11.8 PPG, 4.6 APG, 3.4 RPG on 43% shooting. Fortunately for Manu, Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard are serviceable player who will play well in Manu's place. Manu is the best facilitator off the bench for the Spurs and may play more PG than SG this season with Danny Green emerging as a legit 3 point shooter. If the Spurs want to make it back to the Finals again, Manu needs to avoid performing like he did in the Finals. ![]() #5. Joe Johnson l Brooklyn Nets At #5 is Joe Johnson. The Nets, on paper, are one of the best teams in the East. Joe Johnson averaged 16.3 PPG, 3.5 APG, 3.0 RPG on 42% shooting last season. With the additions of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, I expect Johnson's numbers to be more efficient and perhaps even better. Joe Johnson should become a 19 PPG scorer with the newly upgraded Nets' roster. If the Nets want to beat the Miami Heat, Joe Johnson will have to show up for the Nets as he is a key piece to the team and perform well in the clutch, which he has proven to do many times. ![]() #4. Kobe Bryant l LA Lakers The reason Kobe Bryant is so low is on my list is because we don't know what we are going to get out of him with his Achilles injury. Last season, he averaged 27.3 PPG, 6.0 APG and 5.6 RPG on 46% shooting. If Kobe is able to return to himself pre-Achilles injury, he will move up on my list. Not very many player have come back and become the same player as there were before. Most recently, Chauncey Billups had the same injury and isn't the same player since. To add on to his injury, Kobe Bryant is 35 years old and entering his 18th season in the league. If he is able to come back from his Achilles injury, will he be able to out beat Father Time for another All-Star season? Who knows. Kobe will still be a 20/5/5 player, but it is uncertain that he will be back to last seasons form. ![]() #3. Paul George l Indiana Pacers The 3rd best SG on this list is Paul George. George played most SF with Danny Granger out most of the season and with Granger back, I see George moving back to SG. Emerging on to the national scene by taking the Miami Heat to 7 games in the Eastern Conference Finals, George averaged 17.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG and 4.1 APG on 42% shooting in the regular season. George made the All-Star team for the 1st time the past season and shouldn't have any problems making it back this season. The Most Improved Player Award winner last season should average at least 20 PPG for the Pacers this season and will be the best player on the team and will have to play big if he wants to dethrone the Heat. ![]() #2. Dwyane Wade l Miami Heat The #2 SG is the 3 time champion Dwyane Wade. For Miami, he averaged 21.2 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 5.0 APG on 52% shooting. His knees are starting to break down, but Wade recently announced that he was going to be training with Tim Grover again, so his knees will be in better shape that last season. We saw flashes of old Wade during the Finals, and will need to perform like the old Wade if the Heat want to complete the 3-peat. I don't expect Wade to fall off that much this season, he will make the All-Star team again and continue to be a dominating force for the Heat. ![]() #1. James Harden l Houston Rockets The best SG in the league is James Harden. After being traded from the Thunder to Rockets to be the #1 guy on the Rockets, Harden blossomed into an All-Star. He averaged 25.9 PPG, 5.8 APG and 4.9 PPG on 44% shooting. With Dwight Howard coming to Houston, Harden and Howard are one of the best duos in the league. If Harden and Howard can co-exist with each other and stay healthy, both will be All-Stars and the Rockets will be a tough team to beat. After being the Alpha Dog for a season, Harden now knows what he needs to do to lead his team through the playoffs. In the very tough Western Conference, the Rockets will have to rely on Harden severely if they want to make it to the Finals. James Harden will be the best SG in the league for the foreseeable future with Wade and Kobe on the wrong side of 30 and both suffering injuries. |

No way should Kobe be outside of the top 3 and shouldn't PG be listed with the SF's?

"George played most SF with Danny Granger out most of the season and with Granger back, I see George moving back to SG" If George plays SF and Granger SG, then Kobe moves into the top 3. |

Yeah, I'd do Kobe 2, PG 3, Wade 4. PG playing SG because Granger coming back should be OP as [expletive deleted]

Seeing all those names #5-#10 ahead of Andre Iguodala is pretty disgusting. Or is he SF on your list?
