The Witches

Good wee-hours EST, everyone!

So I think I've told the Mayor every day for the past week that I was planning on posting my first entry "tomorrow," but for lack of health and discipline that really did not pan out. Now, a little Mayor-shaped birdie told me that though a new batch of prompts will be released this week, they will mostly be more character building so that everyone gets a little bit of bonus time to build their world and catch up if you need some time to settle in. I certainly do.

Of course I intend to post my first batch of chapters tomorrow, but considering I'm sitting on 287 words of actual (not-outline, I mean) prose, I'm probably lying again.

So hey, for anyone who might be taking an extra day or two to finish the first set of prompts, hit me up with your writing problems! I might be a hack writer, but I'm at your service as a motivator, research assistant, and general positivity-machine. Feel free to post snippets for review as well.

You can also share what methods you're already using to reach your writing goals. Find a particularly good resource on Las Vegas sewer systems? A guide to the suburbs? An illustrated list of all bellboy outfits for the major hotels on the Strip? Or just shoot your general research -- for example, I'm reading The Blind Assassin to start off my research on writing older women.

If you've already finished, we'll drum up some topics tomorrow to get your posts some feedback! But you're welcome, in the meantime, to post here about your general experience and contribute to the resources/advice/motivation for the rest of us.

Happy scribbling!

I think this is a great idea. To anyone who does not know me personally, I'm in the Army and can help with any questions for military characters/military life, etc.

Feel free to drop me a line for reviewing a post as well, I try to read everything as soon as its posted but just in case I miss something...let me know.
