Computer Problem; of epic proportions.

I swear my computer hates me. My computer has NO E:/ DRIVE NOW.
I tried to run my Styx CD on my computer, and nothing happened. Then I typed E:/ is the "run" bar, and it said it couldn't find it. Then, I went into my computer, and saw that there was no more E:/. There is an A, C, D, F, G, H, and I drive, but NO E:/.
For those stupid people, an E:/ is what your CD's go into.

Can anyone help me out here? I tried to restore my computer to last week when I had my E:/, and it didn't work.

Why do I get the feeling that this is a lost cause...reboot=turn off computer, then turn it on again.

And Herr, reread his post. If he used system restore, he had to restart his computer. I have to go for now, but I might know how to fix it. Don't have the time to type it out right now though. I'll be back in a few hours.

Ok. But if your solution involves reinstalling my Windows Vista, scrap it now. My fucking computer came with it pre-installed, no way to reinstall it.

Well, there's your problem right there. Here's the best solution in several simple steps:

1) Go to any computer store.
2) Buy Windows XP
3) Format C:/
4) Install Windows XP
5) ?????
6) Profit.

I am a tad confused on steps three, five, and four.
How do I format, whats the ??????, and how do I make profit?

????-->Profit was a joke.

To reformat your hard drive, there are many options. The simple option is to just open a dos prompt and enter the command Format C:. Seriously, though, Cahery, the only real solution is to ditch Vista and get XP.

Couldn't I just reformat it and install windows Vista instead? I like it more than XP.

I've noticed that all the computer problems happen to Cahery's computer...

Vista is fine as long as you have enough RAM. If you don't have enough, you really won't do well with Vista.

No, someone else had a problem as well. I believe it was immortal (but don't quote me on that)

And I don't care for vista either, but it's your choice I guess...

More to the point, do you know anyone who knows how to disconnect the disk drive? If so, ask them to do so and then have them reconnect it. This might work. If you don't, it would be best if you don't try yourself (unless you know what you are doing).

Also, this is wrong. Vista's main problem is not memory. In fact, Vista's main issue stems from its drivers, something completely separate from memory.

Meh, that's what I've been told. My stepbrother's an A+ certified technician, so I assume he knows what he's doing.
