Anyone think it's ironic I'm posting about maturity in the Mature Discussion thread? I don't think so, because it has been proven that even us, quite hypocritcaly, can be as immature as Noobs and other people that we have been know to be bothered with. How mature do you think we really are? |

I'm not mature. If I was, I would be able to not laugh when a fly tries to climb up my nose during drumline practice. |

Now as for my rights to post what I have previously or will in the future. I'm thinking of the quote... "Blow it out your ass" -Duke Nukem Reason 1- This is mature discussion. Must I define mature? Part of the female anatomy is a mature topic. It serves a necessary purpose for life and for socialistic practices. Yet, some of you would stoop to labeling it as immature. Now I'm just a simple smiley man but since when did a vital human function become less mature than oh say... yaoi, tentacle rape? You people have no trouble at all discussing things with little relevance to maturity but defame that which brought you into existence as less? Real mature. Also, going with one meaning of mature, most of you are under 18 I take it. Therefore, not very mature in a legal sense. I'll leave it up to your parents to decide what you do on the internet. Based on various comments, your parents don't even know of this site's existence. Additionally, if half of you ever took sex ed (or are waiting to), you should realize that while shows you watch obsessively (i.e. Family Guy) can portray something as childish due to repetitive use, mostly sexual things, that doesn't mean you should base your opinions on them. Reason 2- Free Speech? In this forum's rules it states United States law. Since when was free speech excluded? My post was exercising this right and was also under forum rule because 1) this is mature discussion, a mature topic ^, and 2) nothing in the official rules bars it. You are all responsible for what you read on the internet, therefore, if you take offense to it. Leave it alone. I don't think the poster of said topic should have to be in subjection to someone with no authority of their actions. For additional information, look up ACLU Reason 3- Lack of.... well. Caring All of you. You're spread across the nation, some of you the Earth. Now, why should I cater everything I do to people I will never meet in person much less form any kind of permanent friendship with? I admit you're all great people, wonderful forum full of absolutely amazing people, but the day I put all of you ahead of those I know much more about, is the day I reject all that I believe in. I will never put someone I could never know everything about in front of those I can. My point? I focus more on those in my life outside this forum. I take greater steps to know them, cater to them, etc. So why would I break down in apology over people who hide what they are from the world, unintentionally or otherwise. I'm sorry but I can never give you as much caring and/or respect as those I truly know. Oh, and I expected better from Winona. Especially after reading this:
Those? people. For shame. Comment on my maturity when you can't get past the childish obsession of judging a book by it's cover. How do you know that all of those people in that pciture aren't Harvard Grad students every bit as smart as me? Assumptions annoy me more than anything because most of them are based on... well, nothing (my second choice was bullshit). So, don't go ranting on about me and how I'm at fault when you go on automatically classifying people by their looks and demeanor. I seriously expected more from you. I swear Bob, if you make one of those posts. Eeesh. |

Correct me if I am wrong. Wasn't what Winona posted just to show that you are older than most of us? I don't think it wasn't to call your friends immature. |

Led, I agree with you on every point. Yes, I am going back on my word, but led's post put the whole thing into perspective. My previous comments were false and not well thought out, so I appologise for them. I hope you all got the same things as I did out of that post. |

I'm personally not mature, because being mature is stupid. It's also because you take in your surounding level of maturity. I have a friend who is extremely strict and mature. His father is a businessman, he hangs out with the elite. I'm not mature at all. I hang out with 2-5 year olds. On the topic about vaginas, I'd say that it was your interpretation of his post that made it immature, there fore, who really is the immature one here? |

That's what I am saying a bit, it was not the topic that is immature, it's how you presented it. It's the sort of things where you become immature in the Mature section, look at the Anomylity (although, I can almost say it was a clusterfuck among multiple people, myself included vaugely). Listen Led, you are a great guy, a leading person among us, and you don't have to tailor to our needs and babysit us. Free speech is another thing, I am not going to object to what you say on the internet, it's just the human morality of it all. I will say that there are definately people much more immature than you in the world, Led. And Led, If you don't care, fine, I won't stop you. |
