All right, before you copy the character template down, please read this message. Its is very, very important. Heck, the earth's gonna swing out of its orbit if you don't read this. All character profiles should be posted into the BOOK OF BEGINNINGS and not the BOOK OF JOURNIES. Once your character is deemed fit for roleplay, it/he/she would be moved into the forum, BOOK OF JOURNIES Part 1.1: CHARACTER TEMPLATE Name:(Your character's name.) Age:(Your character's age.) Gender:(Is your character a he/she/it? If your character is homosexual, simply state his/her gender based on physical characteristics.) Physical Description:(How does your character look like? type in a short description or attatch a picture.) Race:(Is your character a human, werewolf, elf or some other critter imagination allows you to come up with?) Origin World:(Which world does your character come from? Preferably one of the worlds involved in the storyline.) History:(What happened to your character in the post and how did he/she obtain a "Bookmark".) Stats:(We'll go through all of this in a later topic.) (Divide 125) Growth Level:(Starts at 0) Experience:0/100 Dominance Rank:(Starts at 1) Physical Stamina(PS): Physical Power(PP): Physical Defense(PD): Magical Stamina(MS): Magical Power(MP): Magical Resistance(MR): Agility(AG): Equipment:(We'll go through this in the later section of the topic.) Auxillary Head: Body: Accessory 1:(Name, Description.) Accessory 2: Accessory 3: Offense 1:(Name, Description) . . . . . . 100(!?) Part 2.1:Stats in Depth In this section of the topic, I shall be going through the detailed definitions of each stat and their various functions. Growth Level The Growth Level of your character is the key stat which contributes towards the increament of all your character's other stats. At the beginning of their journies, each player controlled character starts at a growth level of 0. This level is increased by obtaining experience points from completing topics or participating in events, organized by the admins/MODs, such as tournaments and races. To increase your Growth Level, you have to max out the amount of experience in your experience bar. At level 0. you need 100 experience points to reach level 1. Every time you advance a growth level, the amount of experience you need to reach the next level is increased by 50. For example, at level 1, you need 150 experience points to reach level 2 and at level 2, you need 200 experience points to reach level 3. Every time your growth level increases, you can increase ALL YOUR STATS by 10% of their original amounts. For example at level 0, your agility stat is 20. At level 1, this is increased to 24. Remember, this stat increament is derived from its BASE amount. This means the stat increament is based on your stat at level 0. Please keep this in mind and try to keep an original copy of your character's level 0 profile. Dominance Rank Ah! One of the few original features of this site' s stat system! Dominance Rank determines the type of equipment your character can use. Your dominance rank is increased in proportion to your character's total stat amount at any level. Every 100 stats your character has, his/her Dominanace Rank is increased by 1. So for example if your character's stat total is equal to 300, your character's dominance rank would be 3. Even if the character has a stat amount of 325, this rank still remains the same as, it is only increased every 100 points obtained. The maximum Dominance Rank any normal character can obtain is 9. We shall go through the ranks of equipment later in the topic. Now that were done with the major portions of the stat system, let us move on to the categories of active stats. Active Stats Physical Stamina: This stat determines the amount of physical activity your character can perform before becoming fatigued. It also determines the amount of damage your character can sustain before being knocked out. Physical Power:This stat determines the amount of power behind your character's physical attacks. The higher the stat, the more powerful your character's physical attacks. A little obvious, is it not? Physical Defence:This stat determines the amount of damage your character can negate from physical attacks. Magical Stamina:This stat determines the amount of magical activity your character can perform before becoming mentally fatigued. Intense mental fatigue can cause your character to pass out. Magical Power:This stat determines the amount of force behind your character's magic attacks. Magical Defence:This stat determines the amount of damage your character can negate from magical attacks. It can also be known as resistance. Agility:This determines the speed of your character's motion. Equipment Equipment... pretty much self-explainatory, is it not?(I bet that this line has recurred at least three times throughout this entire topic, so far.) Well, equipment or armaments in this RPG are defined as objects which increase the value of your stats. When you start the game, you are given the chance to create three pieces(this includes weapons) of equipment for your character's default auxillary. There are three categories of equipment, all of which fit into slots in your character' s stat board. Auxillary 1:Head Gear Equipment such as helmets and bandanas. 2:Body Armor Equipment such as body armor and enchanted clothing. This is your main source of defence buff, both magical and physical. 3:Accessories Items such as ear rings, scarves and wrist bendings. It can be anything which you can feasibly attatch to the human body. Offense Now, we have a special category of equipment namely, your offense weaponry. You can have a maximum of four of these at any time(without the Obrah). You cannot obtain the status bonuses of every weapon that you have in your roster, only the specific weapon being used during that instance. For example, you use a hammer at this moment thus, you obtain the bonus of physical strength however, in the next instance, you switch into a shield and thus, you gain the defence bonus instead. By the way, sheilds can be considered weapons too since they can deliver a good amount of blunt force trauma. You can switch your weaponry a maximum of twice per post. Equipment Rank The rank of any specific piece of equipment determines the magnitude of status bonus yielded by it. Rank 1 status bonuses are minimal but, rank 9 status bonuses can be monstrous. This category goes hand in hand with dominance rank. |
