An interesting thing I found browsing the Wildstar website.

And I semi quote: "Will you need a form of payment when setting up your Wildstar account?

You are asked for payment information so you can continue playing WildStar without interruption when your initial 30 days of game time is up. Redemption of payment can be done by all major debit/credit cards, PayPal or Game Time Cards."

Copy and paste if you want to read it for yourself.

But it does seem to imply to me that you will need to pay or tie it to your credit card before you can play the actual launched game. I just wanted to share the information so people don't come home that night all ready to play and find out they need to go buy a game time card or tie it to a credit card.

It asked me to register a payment method when I activated my pre-order code to my account. But I was able to circumvent it somehow. I hit back or something and never had to enter a credit card, paypal, or gamecard.

I just used paypal to setup my payment, but unlike the Bostralian it wouldn't let me apply the game code without setting up a payment plan first.

Ok well it didn't ask me for anything of this sort when I prepaid for the game and got online. But I further researched it and it seems like you may have to pay for additional game time before you can play the 30 days that come with the purchase of the game. Kind of like what SWTOR did. Really I don't know for sure anything but it seems plausible they would take that step. So I just wanted to put that out there.

That should not be legal. The game comes with 30 days, if that's all you want to play then that's all you should have to pay! Plus isn't their some sort of option to pay with in-game currency or is that not going to be implemented at launch?
