Hello fellow adventurers, if you're reading this, then chances are you have stumbled upon, or were guided here by the strange and mystical powers of the Orb. Within this Orb, lies the wonders of many great and powerful cities, that was one day all teleported into what we now call the Orb, by a great force that feeds off the activity of it's members that lurk within it. The Orb is a peaceful refuge within the cosmos. However, there are those who would rage war to claim the Orb's power for there own universal domination. That's where we come in. Within these great cities, hold the greatest warriors in the cosmos, those who vow to guard the great Orb and those within it. We are Guardians Of The Orb.

When I first opened the Guardians forum less then a year ago. I took a ranking system from the famous FunOrb elite clan The Society. It was made of 3 to 4 high ranking admins who worked as one. Anything that was changed would be voted and the winning vote would decide the fate of the issue. A type of democracy. However I didn't fully understand the ways on the internet when I brought it here. In the TS FunOrb forum it worked out great since we didn't actually own the forum, but controlled it at least until a Mod returned or took over. They would be held responsible, not us. However, when you make a site of your own you do end up being responsible for everything. Your staff, how you run the site, and worse case scenario, if someone get's hurt while being on your site. All this would fall on the owner. In this case, myself. Even though the Guardians system seemed like a good idea in theory, fact is I was still held responsible regardless of whatever leadership system I put in place. Some, didn't like the fact that I was the head adman. When things went wrong with members being abused, glitches and other matters that needed my immediate attention without taking it up with the council until after the fact. This caused a lot of friction and tensions with some of the Guardians and honestly I can understand why. Sadly, it couldn't be avoided on the internet because forum hosting sites have no democratic system. Same with any company/business. There will always be someone in charge who is held responsible for the actions of everyone regardless of opinions. Even Jagex holds me responsible for all content and staff placed here. I was mistaken for trying to make the system work for starters. It ended up with some Admins ignoring the votes, and with the original system being ignored by the Guardians lately and myself having to go behind them fixing things which caused more tensions, the whole system in general failed in the end. But regardless of why, or how. It's my fault and I'm sorry.

In dealing with recent matters resulting in my position being under attack, I (along with others) lost site of the original purpose of starting this site. Not to build a regime, but a community based around joining people together who the still played the FunOrb games, and to help bring much needed support to FunOrb, and possibly become the first official fansite if FunOrb was rebooted.

That dream is still possible. First off, no more senseless fighting over nothing productive. All matters from this point onwards will be handled by myself, and Mark the Official Co-owner and last of the original ranking system that fell apart.

I thank every member who gave there feedback in the Facebook thread poll. I greatly needed the advice to get back on track ;)

And with that being said, it's time to bring this site back to it's original purpose, to be a fun and helpful FunOrb based fansite :D
