Hello and Welcome to the guild "Legion of the Rising Sun"

We are primarily a crafting and End-Game PVE-focused guild. For those of you who are interested in WvW and sPvP, we have an officer that will be coordinating this effort with other guilds (WvW) and among guild members (sPvP). With this in mind we will have craftsmen making gear that is free to any guild member who donates their crafting materials to the guild. We will also be providing free salvage kits to you in an effort to make this job easier.

Guild War's 2 allows any account to belong to 3 guilds at a time. While you can only represent one at a time, you can have membership in three of them. We are asking you to join our guild and represent "L.R.S." whenever you are playing the game. Guild bonuses for XP and gold will be received from the moment you joined and represent.

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are some features you can't use. If you will be a craftsman what will you be making?
No crafting materials should be sold, either donate or sell them to the guild.
This is to ensure low prices and a source of income for the guild.
We will use that income to buy influence when needed.

It is OK to have more than one craftsman for a particular craft, what we want to do is know which person can/will be creating items for members and resale on the Trading hall for guild income.

Cassondra - Leatherworker and Huntsman
...........Huntsman may craft shortbows, longbows, pistols, rifles, harpoon guns, torches and warhorns.
...........Leatherworkers are able to craft medium armor pieces, inventory packs, and runes.

Zelloria - Artificers
...........Artificers craft magical weapons such as staves, scepters, foci and tridents, as well as sigils.

Xu3 - Jewelery
...........Jewelers may craft jewelry notably rings, earrings and necklaces. A jeweler can craft items useful to all professions.

Elad - Tailoring
...........Tailors craft light armor pieces, as well as inventory bags and runes.

OPEN - Weaponsmith
...........Weaponsmiths may craft swords, greatswords, axes, daggers, maces, hammers, shields, spears and sigils.

Glint - Armorsmith
...........Armorsmiths craft heavy armor pieces, as well as inventory boxes and runes.

Opiy - Cooking and Jewelery
...........Chefs can create food which grants temporary combat buffs and are useful to all professions.
...........Jewelers may craft jewelry notably rings, earrings and necklaces. A jeweler can craft items useful to all professions.

To request a food type, go to the GW2 Wiki and find a food type to request. Some food requests may require for you to go and aquire the components. We will try to keep a list of gathering locations where you can go to acquire the ingredients needed to craft the food item you are requesting.

I will try to lvl cooking as fast as I can.

I have already created a plan based on the Guru DB, to level fast and not waste resources.

Please send my all your cooking related materials and then once I have finished using them to lvl I will send what is left over to the guild stash in case someone else wants to do cooking as well.

This will just make it much easier for me to lvl the craft. Also cooking does not overlap with any other crafting so, I will not be using any wood, ore and materials salvaged.

So, all of that I collect will go straight to the guild for use from the other crafters.

Cas you can also put me down for a smithing skill because I'll be raising metal working for jewelry so it makes sense. Which discipline? Well, I haven't settled on one. First I think weaponry and then I wonder if armor-smithing might be more lucrative/useful. I'm thinking that I may alternate my 2nd disc btw the two because I'm definitely going to get both eventually anyway. At the moment, I can't think of any of the other disciplines that recommend themselves to me. :p

In all of the games I've played I have always been a miner / smithy or at least leaned in that direction when I could because I like that. Jewelry is really an offshoot of that since jewels come from mining and jewel-crafting has always been my secondary of these due to needing the metal settings, bands and chains.

First request for weapons :)

Even though I will open up all my skills with all my weapon types, I have been working on a bleed build for my warrior.

So, with that said I will need 2 Short Swords for my first weapon set and (I can't believe I am typing this) a rifle for my second weapon set.

Check out this build and let me know what you think. I think it looks pretty solid.

Bleed it out !!

For a minute I wondered about taking the -5 recharge on weapon swap... thinking the last major trait in Arms might have been worth taking. How often are you going to need to swap 5 seconds earlier, after all?

But then I saw that you also gain Adrenaline with weapon swaps. Nice -- guessing you plan on swapping in every encounter for that gain. With that you can probably more than make up for any extra bleeding the 30pt Arms trait might give.

Bolas will be a circumstantial skill but will come in handy. I like how you traited for your 8 & 9 slots.

Oh yeah - I understand taking the rifle. That 1 skill is sweet for fast stacks of bleed and you'll quickly bleed them out if they're foolish enough to ignore you and let you stand back and keep stacking unimpeded. When they finally understand what's happening, throw a Rifle 2 at them to get time for a couple extra 1 bleeds. :D Then swap to finish with authority.

It's possible you could actually start with a Sword 4 then swap and stack bleeds until it's time (if they aren't dead yet) to swap again for the finish. Who needs a Ranger?

OK, I have made a note.
I can't make the swords (Weaponsmith), I will have the Bleed Rifle for you.
I may make two, one below level 5 and one below level 10.

Now realizes that shortbow != shortsword :) lol

My old eyes are starting to play tricks on me.

Guess I will go ahead and pick up Weapon Smith as well but, my main focus will still be cooking.

I didn't have any problems coming across short swords from drops so, I am not too worried about them.

I did however in my entire time of playing my warrior which I think I got to lvl 10 or 11, never got a rifle as a drop.

My son got several and supplied me with them as I went along :) lol

OK, time to go look at the DB and see what I need for weapons crafting.
