Gibraltar Base CE 94 Gibraltar Base, a year of construction to rebuild it to what it once was but more than just an Earth stationed base. A lot of ZAFT personnel had transferred to Earth, some of the best pilots now living on the base, along with a bunch of more 'advanced' mobile units. All of it was a precautionary measure should another attack rise against the base, but it wouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who did supply runs, and training exercises with the base. It was just what it was, a military base. The Corruption had arrived days earlier, given permission to station themselves on Earth for a few weeks after a brief discussion with the Supreme Council, the Chairwoman and some other ZAFT personnel that ran the show. Lauren had been pretty straightforward with her intentions, wanting to check in personally on how both Gibraltar and Carpentaria were doing and that she could do so under their personal command. A bit of work, but also a bit of a vacation from the artificial gravity and all that was the PLANTs. She missed Earth, if only a small bit, but figured that her team could use some away time from home. They'd dealt with all the proper formalities and protocols when they had arrived, and were now currently enjoying some R&R while they waited for the clear to move towards Carpentaria. Given the information, and little communication with those in charge of the base, it was estimated that they could leave within a few hours, maybe less than that if things went smoothly. At least that was better than nothing, although waiting was a bit of a drag. Lauren was sitting outside, her eyes moving over the ocean as she watched the waves dance about, birds flying over the water before diving down to grab something to eat. She held a large cup of coffee in her hand, balancing on a railing as she kept her gaze forward, enjoying the fresh air that the Earth had to offer. When a pair of footsteps approached, she turned her head. "Everything alright?" Mihael gave a short nod, moving to lean on the railing next to her with his own cup of coffee in hand. "I knew that they rebuilt the base, but I didn't really expect much. I guess I should've known better considering who runs the show nowadays." He followed her gaze to the ocean. "You ever think about coming back here? I mean, you grew up on Earth. Do you think you'll ever move back down here and get away from the PLANTs?" His voice was soft as he brought the cup to his lips, slowly drinking the hot liquid. "Who knows. I'm kinda drifting somewhere in the middle, y'know? Not the PLANTs, but not Earth either." She chuckled. "It's nice to get away from the PLANTs, give the guys a chance to enjoy something a little more real than the shit back up there, though." She shifted a little. "They said we'll have the go ahead in a few hours, but I'm thinking of heading out in one, take the scenic route towards Carpentaria. I'm not in any rush to get around anywhere, not sure how y'all feel about that though." Mihael shifted his gaze to her, slowly almost. "I think I'm drifting somewhere in the middle." He teased before he chuckled, standing up straight to turn his back to the railing and lean against it, folding one arm over his chest. "I don't really care either way. I'm more just along for the ride, following your orders and all. You wanna jump and get this thing rollin', by all means, do it. I'll be right behind you. I just hope you're not planning a certain scenic route in that direction, Laur. It didn't go well last time." She made a face. "They won't get away this time, I can promise you that. I'll drag their asses back into open water and bury them at sea." She grumbled. |

Though the Corruption had been sent to the Gibraltar Base days earlier by Lauren's request and that was something Nilus couldn't agree more after all they were warriors and fighting was what they did best, she was speaking his language. Nilus never did exactly like time off from his duty. Nilus hadn't had a day off in nearly fifteenth years not that he was complaining of course, this is what he lived for and wouldn't have it any other way. Since leaving Aprilius, Nilus had mainly been helping Captain Tadoka and maintaining his machine during his time on the Corruption. "Son of a b!" Nilus muttered to himself as the Gelgoog Kishi's OS froze once again on him as he was performing maintenance on his machine. He was grateful to be given a high performance machine with such a history but at times he hated the damm thing more then anything. You thought after twenty years, the damm thing would have a new OS but no matter how many times he asked his sister to install a new OS, she just wouldn't have it like she ever temper with her master piece. Just thinking about it made him face palm his face gently and letting out a sigh before looking back up the screen. Looks like he was going to have reboot it again, this is what he deserved for trying to get an extra 5% of power for his boosters. Nilus poped his head out of the Gelgoog's Kishi cockpit and yelled out for the mechanic that been working with him for the last two hours. "Sherri! Can you get me that Diagnostic Tool and Scanner? Damm thing froze up again!" She looked up in disappointment as if she already knew what he had did. "Sir did you try to diverse power from one area to another? You know the Gelgoog Kishi's OS can't take the same punishment it did twenty years ago when it was new right?...ooh never mind, give me a sec." As Sherri rampaged through the tool boxes looking for the Diagnostic Tool and Scanner, Nilus lowered himself back into the cockpit and began to bring up power grinds showing power usage throughout the mobile suit before pondering through them for a few moments when Sherri popped her head in. "Ok Sir, let get this baby purring again, Take the Seat sir." Nilus nodded in silent as he took to his seat while Sherri laid on her back, facing the back of the console, showing it's wiring. She began running the diagnostic tool alongside the wiring which immediately began beeping repeatedly before scanning with the scanner revealing a defective wire. Grabbing her Wire cutters, Sherri cut and removed the defective wire before replacing it with a new 1301 Gauge wire and tied it together with a hot wire before putting a safety cap on it. She wiped her hand with her wire cutters in her hand when Nilus offered his hand to help her up. She grabbed it, using it to pull herself up as she stared at Nilus "Well Sir fire this baby, she should work right." Sherri raised an eyebrow as she looked at the Console confused as the screen became clear " Even though I've worked in the cockpit before, I didn't know she had this OS, I've never even seen that OS?" Nilus looked his head, somewhat surprised although it was something not many people knew about of course. "Right well....This thing was built during the first war over twenty years ago. The Kishi was originally a custom Guaiz experimental firearms type. Though the damm OS was patched over the years, the OS is showing it's age with some of it's problems just can't be fixed without ripping the OS out and putting it back together, As a result of this among other things, the Gelgoog Kishi doesn't operate at it's max efficiently." Sherri eye's widen as she stood their silent still trying to understand the information Nilus just told her, Nilus on the other hand brought his attention back to the OS which was now back at normal. To make sure everything was operating fine, Nilus ran through the maintenance checks for a few minutes before finally igniting the power from it's battery into the machine, causing the Gelgoog Kishi'e eye sensor flash on which made the mechanics stumble for a second, caught off guard. Sherri made mischievous smile before giggling a little "Well would you look at that...You pilots wouldn't be anywhere without me" Nilus shrugged his shoulders as he let out a lough "Well I can't argue with that now can I?" Nilus then looked at the end of the cockpit where the canopy was "Well we been working on the Kishi for nearly three hours, you wanna catch a break?" Sherri simply smirked "Is that a date?" Nilus raised an eyebrow in confusion but before he count answer, Sherri raised her hand showing her palm. "Ooh I am only kidding...You go on without me, I need to archive the Gelgoog Kishi's maintenance logs so this doesn't happen AGAIN." Nilus moved out of the cockpit seat and headed for the exit after giving her a two finger solute with his left hand. "Right I'll catch ya later then after am done with my break." Sherri simply shooed him off with her hand as he got on the lift. Using it's controls he lowered the lift to the ground before getting off. Heading for the exit from the hanger, he thought he get some fresh air on the deck before perhaps grabbing some late lunch. Edited by Nilus II, Saturday May 27 2017, 10:02 PM.

Zeke for his part had been working deep into the doing checks on the on his suit and had fallen asleep while going through a number of diagnostic tests for the Archers OS. So far there were little no issues when he last checked however his slumber was then interrupted by Nilus's shouting from outside, sound like he was having trouble with his suit again for what ever reason. "Hey Nil do you have the time I can't seem to find my watch?" The quite techno genius/pilot asked as peered out of suit. |

Being back in earth was great- its where Colt jad spent the bulk of hia career. While he hadn't been able to reconnect with his old team's it seemed there was still a chance if the Corruption continued on to Australia. He rolled his shoulders, adjusting his helmet a bit before placing it back on to his head. Red eyes darting around at the various controls before him. Colt gripped the controls, his frip was firm yet without apprehension. The familiar rush of flying the Spec Ops standard Dinn Raven courses through Colt. He missed this machine and was sure he'd never touch one again. Yet here he was enjoying the Ariel machine. The black Dinn Raven rolled to the right, it's flight mode disengaged as it came in for a landing on the Corruption. "Well...that was fun while it lasted," he smiled faintly as the machine was walked to it's docking station. |

Mihael chuckled before he ruffled her hair, looking down at her. "Easy, kid. You're tough shit and all, but you're not the only fighting here. We're all in this together, whether we wanna be or not. Just remember that you're not alone and it's alright to rely on the rest of us every now and then." He stepped from the railing and let his gaze move to the unit that had flown by to return to the ship. "You want my personal opinion?" As the unit flew by, green eyes moved over to look at it and chuckle. Seems someone was having a bit of fun while they could. She didn't mind, if the guys wanted to dick around for a bit while they were at the base, they weren't doing any harm by taking their suits out for a bit of a run. She took a sip of her coffee, folding one leg over the other and resting her hands in her lap. She couldn't help it, the thought of taking the suits out for a bit of a run sounded like a pretty good idea. Her gaze moved to Mihael. "Hm? Is there more to say?" He merely rolled his eyes at her playfully before he motioned back to the Corruption. "I say fuck it, head out now and let the guys stretch their wings out over the ocean for a bit. We've got plenty of time to kill, and the trip to Carpentaria will take about an hour anyways. Why not have a bit of fun before we have to strap down and be the good little soldiers. I'm sure Captain Tadoka wouldn't disagree, he's always encouraging us to take a damn breather because we're working too hard." "I think he should take his own advice. I've yet to see that man take a day off." She turned on the railing, slipping down and walking alongside him, heading back inside the ship. She didn't say much as she popped by the bridge, smiling when she stepped inside to sneak up behind the captain. Moving behind him, she brought her mouth to his ear. "Captain!" She called out to him. The older man nearly jumped out of his seat, turning to look at her with a expression of terror. "Commander, what the hell are you doing!?" He nearly shouted at her, a hand over his chest as he stared at her. The rest of the crew were chuckling at the scene before they returned to work, enjoying mild conversation while drinking their own beverages. "I trust there's a reason why you're here other than to scare the life out of me." "Of course, Captain. Inform the crew that there's been a change of plans. We're going to head out now, and take a scenic route towards Carpentaria. We're going to give the boys a chance to stretch their legs a bit, take their units out and adjust them accordingly to the Earth's atmosphere and whatnot. A bit of fun, if you will. I think they've earned it after the trip down here, don't you?" She placed a hand on her hip, bringing her cup to her lips. Matthew gave a quick nod, looking to the bridge crew as they relayed the information to the rest of the ship. "Inform Gibraltar that we'll be taking our leave now, and thank them for their hospitality and supplies." He returned to his seat, leaning back as the ship started up and began its departure from the base, heading out and soon taking an alternate route over the open water towards Carpentaria. "Excellent. Thank you, Captain." Lauren turned on her heel, walking with Mihael down to the hangar. "You should head out, too. You deserve a break as much as the rest of them." She smiled, nudging him with her arm. "Besides, I'm sure you're just dying to take that new machine of yours out. Daddy Joule sure knows how to spoil his precious little babies." Mihael gave her a look, rolling his eyes. "Please, don't ever call my father that again. It sounds.. really creepy." He cringed slightly as he tossed the cup into the trash once the drink was finished, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Actually, more than creepy. It sounds like you and my father have some kind of weird kink going on or something. That's.. really not okay." She chuckled before she moved in front of him, pressing her hand to the side of his face. "It's okay, Mihael. I'll be sure that you're the only one I call daddy around here." She winked, running her fingers along his jaw before she turned on her heel, leaving him standing completely speechless in the middle of the hangar. She couldn't stop herself from laughing, moving towards her machine and stopping to look up at it. She almost hoped they'd run into the Earth Alliance again, if only for the sake of finishing what they started. She hated them, blamed them for the last battle that took place here on Earth. "I'll be sure to send them to an early grave this time." |

As Nilus began making his way to exit of the hanger, he heard a familiar voice. Looking back showed Zeke's face as his face popped out of his cockpit and him what the time was. He had completely forgotten Zeke was in the hanger with him, performing maintenance work on his Archers then again both of them had been in the hanger for awhile so of course he forget eventually. Before he could respond however, the Corruption came to life as the speakers revealed it's CIC officer's voice. "All pilots board your machines and standby for launch!" Nilus looked up at the corner of the ceiling as he heard the order. "The hell?" he thought to himself for a moment. Were the under attack? no they couldn't be, considering everyone was tired of being on the ship this would be a welcomed distraction especially by Lauren and Mihael probably as he knew those two had been wanting to jump into the action since the last time it happened. Well no matter what the hell was going on, at least it was going to make their day just a tad more interesting. Nilus looked back at Zeke "Lets go Zeke! Suit up! Looks like were heading out!...Were either entering a combat engagement or were getting our wings wet!" Turning back towards the other side of the hanger, Nilus took the elevator to the pilots changing room. walking to a locker with a "09" on a plague at the top of the locker with "Nilus Pentis" below it, he opened his locker displaying his crimson red and black pilot suit. Raising each sleeve of his dress jacket, he pulled each arm down before removing his dress jacket and hanging it up along with removing his white belt. This followed by taking off his dress pants and boots and donning his black jumpsuit before putting on his pilot suit over neath and putting his pilot shoes on. Grabbing his pilot helmet, he harshly closed the locker door as he made a one eighty towards the elevator. Taking the elevator back to the hanger level, he walked out just time to hear the Commander tease Mihael "It's okay, Mihael. I'll be sure that you're the only one I call daddy around here." she then winked at him leaving Mihael a lifeless husk for a moment. Nilus made a smile as he chuckled to himself. "There's women logic there at it's finest" he though to himself before deciding to get a move on. Walking past them, he gave Lauren a thumbs up "Nice one Commander." he said to her as he passed them. He was sure that Mihael would want to kill him later for overhearing that and making a comment but he just couldn't resist the temptation this time. Boarding the cockpit of the Gelgoog Kishi, he turned on the OS only to find Sherri's maintenance logs for the Gelgoog Kishi. He didn't have time to archive it so he closed the logs. She would probably kill him if Mihael didn't later but right now he had little choice. With the Gelgoog Kishi coming to life, the eye sensor flashed as it turned on. Wasting no time, he entered the communications codes for the bridge, revealing Captain Tadoka and the bridge. "Yes, Pentis?" Captain Tadoka looked up from a clipboard in hand, eyes locking on the man's face. "Is there something wrong?" "Captain, what's the situation?" He blinked a few times before sighing, setting the clipboard down on the armrest of his seat. "The Commander thought you'd all enjoy a little fresh air, a scenic route to Carpentaria, if you will." He stared at the man on the screen, watching him. "Stretch your legs, wings, whatever you want to call it." "Oh, shit." Nilus thought to himself, curious about the situation at hand. "We talkin' illegal here or-" Captain Tadoka held up his hand, silencing the man before chuckling. "Pentis, relax. It is what it is. A short break, a chance to get out of the Corruption and take a breather. If you're uninterested, you're free to remain on the ship and resume whatever work you were attending to but I can assure you that most of your team is going to head out. You're clear to launch as soon as you've got the green light." He turned back to his clipboard, glancing at it before he glanced back up at the screen, wondering why the man was still staring at him. "Go blow of some steam, Pentis. It'll probably do you some good." With that, the communications line went dead. Well by that he could figure they weren't entering a combat engagement and instead simply wanted us to blow some steam off with some flying. Knowing Mihael already knew, Nilus sent a text message to Zeke and Colt's machine the situation before opening a channel to the CIC officer through his helmet. "Do we have permission to take off then" Nilus waited a few seconds before a voice finally told him permission was granted. Bringing his focus back to the controls of his mobile suit, Nilus slowly had the Gelgoog Kishi walk to and over the catapult before having it's feet locked in place. Nilus inhaled one heavy breath as the robotic arms equipped the Gelgoog Kishi's Percival Beam Sword and it's Lightwave Barrier Beam Shield to it's designated hard points. While they weren't entering combat it was better to be safe then sorry. With the alarms now going off and the Corruption's left catapult door now opened, Nilus comm system lit up with the CIC officer's voice. "Course Clear....Systems all green...Gelgoog Kishi go ahead launch!" Activating his helmet tilt, he responded back. Copy that...Nilus Pentis...Gelgoog Kishi...Am taking off!" Immediately he ignited The Gelgoog Kishi's Assault Propulsion System, forcing the mobile suit to scream down the catapult louder then even usual while throwing him back into his seat from the sheer amounts of the G force being pressed against his body. The Gelgoog Kishi raced down the line and launched itself from the Corruption and into Earth's atmosphere around Gibraltar. Flying through the air, Nilus decided to kick it up a notch and put the Gelgoog Kishi through it's paces. Igniting it's Assault Propulsion to it's max acceleration and speed, The wings lit up like the sun as the Gelgoog Kishi made a near sonic boom from it quickly climbing speed as it ripped through the air. Zeke quickly scrambled out of the cockpit to suit up. He was not expecting a launch order already, but then again that's probably what he gets for pulling an all nigher. After he got suited up he made a mad dash back to his suit and moved it to the launch catapult. "Zeke Katano, Archer deploying." he said as he took off. |

After landing, the Dinn Raven walked to it's place and was prepped to be anchor locked into place. He removed his helmet, riding the zipline down to the deck. Colt rolled his shoulders, as he walked towards the lounge. His eyes slowly swept the across the MS Deck briefly before coming to a halt at the mobile suit next to his own. The Otchlan it was called. He knew the machine, and knew of the pilot. "So this is where it ended up... Interesting." He paused for a moment to listen in to the shipwide broadcast. A sigh escaping Colt as he shook his head in dismissal, yet remained rooted. He stated up at the machine for a moment longer before turning away. "How long has it been?" Colt gave a soft chuckle in offering as he returned to the Dinn Raven. He took the zipline back up to the cockpit and got settled. "Well isn't this just a not. I still can't believe that this is what it's all boiled down to." The Dinn Raven walked back to the catapult once previous suite had taken off. The bay doors opened, allowing the machine entry. "Course is clear." "Colt Raynor...launching," he more or less muttered as the thought of a hundred things he'd rather be doing crossed his mind. The Dinn's wings unfolded as it's flight mode took hold and the machine was skyward. |

"Nice one, Commander." Mihael felt his eye twitch, his face having gone from completely caught off guard to annoyed. Damn that woman, he'd make sure she got what was coming to her for this one. He grumbled something under his breath as he moved into the hangar, his eyes moving over to the bluenette who seemed to be angrily staring up at the Re-Justice. He watched her, noting the way her face twisted and how her eyes seemed to struggle as if she were lost in thought about something. He had to wonder if she was having second thoughts about the route they were going to take. "Oi, stop standing there looking like an idiot and get in the damn machine." He called over to her, earning her gaze. The way she looked at him, he knew what she was thinking and he chuckled, stopping in front of his own machine that was locked down next to hers. "I'm right behind you on that one, Zala. C'mon, get your ass up there and let's have a bit of fun while we've got the chance. It's not every day that a commanding officer lets her team dick around in their mobile suits." His hand gripped the zip line, watching her for a moment as she did the same. "Shut up, Joule." She matched his signature smirk, both of them climbing into their machines. She let the cockpit seal itself shut before her hands ghosted over the controls, eyes staring at the screen as it started up, the machine roaring to life. She exhaled slowly, moving the Re-Justice to the catapult and waiting on the green light. As soon as she had it, the grey machine launched itself from the ship and moved into the open sky, the purple and blue phase shift expanding over the machine as it activated. Blue eyes watched the Re-Justice leave the hangar before the Duel Arche made its way to the catapult, launching as soon as it received the green light for clearance. As soon as it was away from the ship, the black and red phase shift spread across the grey machine, and the thrusters flared slightly as the unit moved next to the Re-Justice. "This is interesting. I've only got a few adjustments to make, but that's all minimal." His eyes moved over to the Dinn Raven and the Gelgoog Kishi, watching them as they moved about the sky. ----------------------------------------------------- Nikolai had been quick to follow everyone, launching in the Owl Blitz and joined them after making a few adjustments to the machine for the Earth's atmosphere. He watched the rest of his team before he kept close to both the Duel Arche and Re-Justice. "So.. was there any specific reason that we're out here or are we just attempting to get a bit of fresh air..?" He chuckled. He had to admit, it was definitely nice to get off the Corruption and just fly around the Earth's atmosphere without having to engage the Earth Alliance or ORB. It gave him a better chance to admire the scenery and open ocean that the Earth had to offer, since back home didn't really have these luxuries, at least not in the way that Earth did. Everything was so natural, how funny did that sound? He chuckled at his own thoughts, brown eyes moving to watch the Corruption advance over the ocean. |

By the time everyone launched and everyone was roughly in a formation if you could call it that, the Gelgoog Kishi's speed had significantly lowered as Nilus let down off the acceleration lever that controlled it's assault propulsion system to fall back to his team otherwise he would of been far out of their's and Corruption's light of sight being the team's dedicated blitzkrieg unit. Through his Panoramic Monitor he saw Nikolai's Owl Blitz and Mihael's Duel Arche were nearest him in the formation although he noticed Mihael's Duel arch felt a little off, Nilus guessed he have to make a minimal adjustments but looked fine. Everyone else looked fine to his knowledge and the Gelgoog Kishi's flight data made the machine perfectly fine in earth's atmosphere as it had been used dozens of time in Earth's atmosphere in it's career. Opening a communication channel to his team mates, he crossed his arms "So since were out here now, how about we practice dueling with beam sabers?" Nilus made a friendly laugh towards Mihael "I know Mihael been wanting to throw down with me for the last week." With the expression on his face, his eyebrows fell to a v shape as he voice dropped to a serious tone. "Or if you want to get serious, we can work on our team coordination with a series of war games with two members on each team versing each other trying to achieve certain objectives or simply battling each other to defeat the other team with one being a referee or a observer." Nilus closed his eyes for a moment as he tried to think of other things they could do. He had to think hard if there was anything else. He wasn't one known for practicing since him anyone else who knew how to pilot knew their craft well but he knew knowing their luck, they get thrown into the thickest of the fighting on the front lines. Whether he liked his teammates or not was irrelevant, he wasn't going to let one of them die, he knew that pain far too well already. Then it came to him, he had completely forgotten about it since the days at the academy. It was a bit childish sure but it taught pilots to be untouchable in combat, If you can't get hit, you live. He eventually opened his eyes again, revealing a slightly lighter expression on his face as his voice became slightly softer. "I don't know how much any of you remember your academy days besides the social aspects of it but there was...a special war game that you might of remember doing in a mobile suit. Do any of you remember the war game "infection?". It's a wargame where one pilot at the beginning of the wargame that is the "infected", his job is to infect all the other players or mobile suits by touching their surface like tag. If your mobile suit is touched you become an "infected" and must help the other "infected" infect the other mobile suits that are not. The mobile suits that are not can either work together or use others as bait...This wargame might be childish but is effective at teaching one thing...If you don't get hit, you don't die." Before anyone could respond, Nilus began pondering again, perhaps a bit too much this time since time was purely for getting their wing's wet for the first time since their current deployment. Before he had the chance to say anything else on his mind, the Gelgoog Kishi decided to interrupt his thoughts when it started to make beeping noises in Nilus cockpit. Takem out of his thoughts, he looked for the source of the beeping only for it to draw it to his sensors. His machine sensor's went dark and he no idea why. Without thinking he blurted it on the communication channel. "The Hell? All my sensor's went dark...Errrghh damm thing must of malfunctioned again! He certainly hoped his machine had decided to pull a prank on him to annoy him then something far worse that could happen.... |

"That's a little to elaborate for sparing in mobile suits...if That's that's what we're doing." Colt dismissed as he rubbed the back of hos mwck idly. "But whatever we're going to do let's be quick about it. I have other affairs I need to tend to before we reach Australia. " The Dinn Raven leveled out, it's wifa engaged and spread while it's mono eye darted about to take on their surroundings." |

Nikolai moved his gaze to Zeke and he chuckled a bit. "It's not too bad, you'll catch on pretty easily!" He smiled as he moved the Owl Blitz to the side a bit, letting his gaze move over to his teammates and listened as Nilus came on over the comms about something malfunctioning. "Wait.. what..? Everything okay there, Nilus?" Lauren listened to Nilus and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Please tell me that you're kidding." She muttered lowly, her gaze moving to the Gelgoog Kishi. Green eyes stayed locked on the single unit, the Re-Justice moving back from it as a precautionary measure. "If your mobile suit is having issues, please enlighten me as to why you would even risk coming out here knowing that it could malfunction and have it do god only knows what." She frowned. Blue eyes moved to the Gelgoog Kishi, and a snicker came from the male's lips. "Damn, look at you go. Y'know, for someone who's as advanced as yourself, shouldn't you have taken a bit more care in ensuring that your mobile suit would be in working order without any risks to yourself and the rest of your team?" He raised a brow at Nilus, trying to keep the smirk from crossing his lips. He couldn't help it, his father's snarky attitude ran through him like fire. "I mean, what if we end up in combat down here? I'd prefer not to have to constantly be concerned about whether or not you're sending yourself to an early grave with a malfunctioning suit." "Pentis, your suit.. is in perfect working order, correct?" She sighed quietly. "I don't have a reason to be concerned about your well being in battle, do I?" |

OOC: EA been removed upon Jinx's request. The green circular eye sensor in the Gelgoog Kishi's head quickly brought it's attention to the blue eyes of the Duel Arche. Nilus comm went completely silent with the only the only noise being the static that was produced after Mihael made his comment only to hear chuckles in the background a few moments later after Lauren spoke. Mihael never ceased to amazed him in the way he talked and found it hilarious in more ways then one as it made his behavior predictable and easy to read. "ooh Look at that, Daddy wants to be a sarcastic hothead and a smart ass all at the same time!....how quaint." The playfulness and sarcasm just ran down his mouth but this wasn't the time nor place to play with Mihael, he could it some other time as there would be plenty of opportunities for that with Mihael the way he is. He turned off his comm channel to the Duel Arche, cutting off his communication channel with Mihael to prevent anymore of his remarks. It was time to get serious....well again anyway like he was usually. "Commander, you already know I spend ALL my time maintaining my machine when am not needed on the bridge for some officer duty or job. The combat performance along with the camera's of the Gelgoog Kishi are fine so IF anything happens I'll be fine....My long range sensors are acting up or something....Give me a sec while I do a quick diagnostic on the system, shouldn't take more then a minute. By all means though, don't wait on me...the team can begin their testing, training, fun or whatever the team wants to do." after that, Nilus comm went completely dead, replaced by static afterwards. Bringing the OS system up on his main monitor with the remaining monitors showing the outside, Nilus brought up his control panel which monitored all critical and secondary system on the Gelgoog Kishi as well as showing their current condition and status. Going through the long list of the machine's system, he eventually came across his sensors but to his surprise they were still green or still functioning. It didn't make any sense, how could they be working but malfunctioning at the same time? Even if there was some glitch or some kind of cache failure, the OS would pick it up if the system wasn't exactly how it's supposed to be even if it's 000.01% off. Most mobile suit weren't like this but well his sister over engineered the thing years ago and wanted to know every single bit of information she could if it wasn't performing at 100%. While she might know right of the back what the problem could be, he only knew the system was operating differently. Deciding to figure out what the hell was going on, he opened his diagnostic program on his OS and let it run so it could run it's magic. after a mere thirty seconds however Nilus was baffled as his jaw dropped. "Oh Shit" he said out loud without thinking. No wonder it looked like a malfunction while his OS told him his sensors were working fine. He didn't understand, how could something from long rang be feeding his mobile suit faulty target information? The only thing that could do this was some Jammer but this close to Gibraltar? Something this close to Gibraltar without getting detected which brought his next question, "Why the hell was only his mobile suit being effected?" he muttered to himself, did his teammates even have their long range sensors on if they were just going to screw around? Nilus shook his head rapidly a few a times before covering his eyes with the palm of his hand "None of this makes sense!" he yelled to himself in his head. Well no matter what the hell was going on he had to tell the commander the situation. After a few moments he collected himself before coming to the conclusion that it's probably nothing but to be safe, they should be on their guard just in case. reopening the channel to Mihael once more, with a dead serious expression on his face and a serious tone, almost grave like on the tip of his tongue, he brought his full attention to the Commander. "Commander we may have a problem bigger then we though although I don't think it was what we were expecting....I ran diagnostic on my sensors...Most of my sensors are fine and working however my long range sensors are being feed faulty target information from something long range..I don't know exactly but it's some jamming technique or Jammer.....It might be nothing or it might be something...bloody ahead. I don't know If any of you have your long range sensors on since this ins't a combat launch and more of a relaxation flight to Carpentaria so I don't know if yours or the team's sensors are effected as well...It's your call Commander...As I stated before my machine is at peak combat performance and all sensors are working besides my long range sensors which are being fed faulty target information through some unknown means." Zeke for his part almost mention an offer to help Nilus out but given his mechanical habits he'd probably end up taking the suit apart before putting it back together. it was what nearly got him kicked out of the academy.

Mihael felt his eye twitch. "Motherfucker." He growled low under his breath, his gaze moving to Lauren. He could tell that she was annoyed already, and the day had only just begun. Oh man, this was definitely going to be a fun little trip they were about to endure together. He leaned back in his seat, letting his suit hover next to the Re-Justice as he switched it to auto-pilot. "If his suit's malfunctioning, he's gonna get himself killed out here. Just saying~" He shrugged, folding his arms behind his head as he stared at the image of his commander, watching her face twist with different expressions. Lauren let her gaze move from the image of Nilus on her screen to Mihael, that slightly disapproving look on her face, before it moved back to Nilus. "That's not what I was asking you, Pentis. I-" She cut herself short when she caught the last part, something about.. sensors being jammed. She glanced at the radar on the Re-Justice, raising a brow. Nothing was out of place on her end, and nothing was showing up either. "I think you should look into getting your mobile suit fixed, Pentis. My radar is showing clear, and I hate to say it but with the NJC equipped on my mobile suit, it's a little hard to jam my sensors if they're using neutron jammers and all." She made a motion with her hand, indicating how 'small' anyone's chances were. Nevertheless, she kept her gaze on her radar and frowned slightly. "Captain Tadoka." "Commander." "Scan the area, and report back to me if you turn up anything, no matter how minuscule." She let her gaze shift to the faces on the side of her screen. "Pentis, I'll ask the question again. Are you sure that your mobile suit is in perfect working condition? If this turns out to be something, I honestly cannot spend the majority of my time being concerned with your own safety and well-being. I'm sure you understand. "He should, given his oh so precious ranking." Mihael muttered lowly under his breath, gaze shifting to his own radar. "I'm not picking anything up, Laur. I donno about you, but I'm starting to think the guy's losing his shit, or that mobile suit of his is.. well, y'know." He shrugged again, folding his arms over his chest. "Let's be honest, what are the chances of a repeat disaster like the last time we were on Earth?" He raised a brow at her, chuckling lightly. "Slim, unless the Earth Alliance wants to get their asses handed to them again." "Commander. Scan returned negative. There's nothing out there on our end. Not yet, anyways. Just keep an eye out regardless, given our.. history here on Earth." "Understood. Thank you, Captain." She gave another glance to the radar before she sighed. "Let's keep moving. You've got an hour to dick around and enjoy the freedom from the restraints of the Corruption. Stretch your legs, enjoy the scenery and open ocean to your hearts content, but don't go too far. I don't need to lose one of you assholes and have to explain to the higher ups why I thought it was a grand ol' idea to let my team wander freely in their mobile suits." She frowned. "I've dealt with enough bullshit, I don't need the extra that those idiots would throw at me." "Easy now, Laur. Those idiots happen to be your Uncles and Aunts, not to mention your godparents." Mihael chuckled. "Besides, I'm pretty sure that my father wouldn't take too kindly to a Zala calling him an idiot, although Uncle Dearka would have a field day with it all." He couldn't stop himself from laughing at the thought of it all. "Either way," He had the Duel Arche bow slightly to the Re-Justice. "Would you care to join me, m'lady?" "Oh Mihael! I thought you'd never ask!" Nikolai chimed in, laughter filling the comm lines as he held his sides. The look from Mihael was priceless, and he just couldn't stop himself from taking advantage. "I'm sorry, man. You left yourself open for it. You're ever the charming gentleman, I'd love to join you on this lovely midsummer's day flight." Mihael groaned. "Why." He muttered. "Who thought it was a good idea to bring this idiot along? I mean, who the hell even thought it was a good idea to put an Amalfi on the team?" He pointed to the Owl Blitz, raising a brow. "He's more messed up than the rest of us." His expression was so serious and when Nikolai looked completely offended, he burst out laughing. "Kidding, mate. C'mon, let's do this thing and get back to the Corruption before anyone finds out what we're doing." <<---------------------------------------------------------------->> -Earth Alliance's Ninth Fleet- 10x Des Moines-class Cruiser 4x Spengler-class Carrier
4x Arkansas-Class Cruiser
2x Fraser-class Destroyer
Girty Lue-class 'Phobeos'
---------------------------------- The ninth fleet advanced over open waters, following information and orders from the higher ups within the military. Rumors had claimed that one of ZAFT's ships had docked at Gibraltar several days ago, and not even twenty-four hours in, the rumors were confirmed as photos were sent to EA HQ. With the information valid, it was decided that they would try a different approach with the Corruption, and give Commander Erys and his ship, the Phobeos, a chance to shine with his team; engage the Corruption on open waters away from ORB and annihilate it along with all ZAFT personnel on board, unless they could secure any POWs. "Looks like this is it." Commander Aegon Erys stood in front of the holo-map, pointing to a dotted path that was an estimate of the Corruption's path to Carpentaria. "If our calculations are correct, we should encounter the ZAFT ship somewhere in this area." He made a circular motion with his hand to an area of the map. "When we do, you'll all be free to engage them as you see fit." He folded his arms over his chest, gaze moving from the map to the pilots around him. "I'm sure that you all understand what we're about to do, right?" Jensen ran a hand through his hair before he scratched the back of his head. "This is the same ship that engaged both the Earth Alliance and ORB fleet a year ago, right? Doesn't that mean ORB's princess is on the ship?" He raised a brow before he chuckled. "If we take the princess, can't we use her as leverage for something? Wouldn't the higher ups enjoy having a royal as a POW?" He stuffed his hands into his pockets, shifting weight from one leg to the other. "I'd be alright taking her hostage, especially when we know how she's the next in line for the 'throne' when it comes to ORB." Aegon scratched his head. "You're not wrong, but it won't be easy to take any of them alive. They're ZAFT soldiers, which generally means they're going to go down fighting or die trying. This won't be an easy battle, and I suspect we're going to lose quite a bit of men out there, but we've been ordered to take out the Corruption under any means necessary. So, if you have to cheap shot them, do it. Whatever it takes to sink the damn thing and ensure that we return home successful." The pink haired male frowned. "Lame. Oh well, just tell me when and I'm golden." "Less than thirty minutes. Get your asses moving." <<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->> For those of you who may or may not read the shout box, Ghost has opted out as the military has taken priority. As such, he'll no longer be involved with the forum. Please continue as is, and direct any questions to myself or the group chat on Facebook. on Screen, Nilus raised an eyebrow at Mihael as he began to become annoyed with Mihael's comments. For the most part what Mihael said didn't bother him for the most part most of the time but his disrespect to the chain of command was something that was starting to piss him off. He understood he could come as someone as "Superior" in a way but that was only because he lived to a far higher standard then most and wasn't able to have freedom most had. He tuned out rest of the team and only had Lauren's communication channel open. "Please forgive me Commander, I will take whatever punishment you want upon me after this." He switched his communication systems to the Mihael. Nilus was still in his dead seriousness mood from a few moments right now. Being in his combat mood so to say, he was not in the mood for Mihael's bullshit. "Alright Red Coat listen up, I don't give a fuck who you think you are or where you come from, You will show respect to the chain of command or I will have your ass on a platter one way or another. I don't give a fuck if you won't solute me or follow my orders but you WILL leave the smart ass remarks while on duty, I don't give too shits for your reasons and I don't give two fucks If you don't like me but I won't tolerate your bullshit hotheaded ace pilot mentally. Despite what you goddamn think, I am not some dumb fuck of a black coat out of the academy, I came out as a red coat for several years before my commanding officer was killed in combat against ace pilot pirates, I was forced into the command position when I forced to lead the battalion into battle. I earned my coat several times over so shut your trap. If you have a problem with me Red Coat then come...Challenge me to an honour duel to the death otherwise leave your shit behind. While it might be difficult for you, If you give respect, I'll give you respect although am sure both of us will say it will need to earned which is fine by me. Lauren has my respect because she is the team commander and I will follow her command unless her orders are questionable at Best. I trust you to be an allay on the fields of battle since were on the same team and we serve due to our devotion however if your going to be childish then try and strike me down so we can get this over with." Nilus cut the communication channel to Mihael after he was done speaking, at this point he just wanted Michael's bullshit be done and over with for good and if they had to fight to get this bullshit out of the way so they could focus on the team and get their future objective's done then so be it but Nilus was still in his combat mood and he knew his sensors weren't lying. While everyone may or may not believed him, he had to stay on guard, he reopened his communication channel to Lauren whom at this point wasn't the happiest camper at the moment. "Don't worry about me Commander and if Mihael wants to kill me later, let him settle whatever he has with me after this, Am going to scout up ahead just in case, I'd rather not be caught in any surprises by anyone today." Grabbing his attention back to his cockpit, he placed his right hand firmly on the Gelgoog Kishi's Assault Propulsion, moving it quickly up it's shift panel, igniting the Assault Propulsion forcing the Gelgoog Kishi to it's max acceleration forcing the wings to light up as it thrusters became moving the mobile suit quickly before it let off another sonic boom like earlier as the Gelgoog Kishi quickly began climbing speed. |

"You guys ever get the feeling your being watched." Zeke asked feeling a little nervous. Zeke knew ZAFT had a couple of base on Earth but a good portion belonged to the Alliance military and to be honest he felt like they were about to get jumped. then again it was his paranoia talking and he did get reassurance from his superiors. <----------------------------------------------------> "I can take some of our Windams and Buster Daggers and go after their ship if their MS is occupied." Vance suggested as looked over the map with this situation it was best to divide and conquer. While trying to overwhelm their enemy seemed like the most obvious dividing forces would help keep causalities to a minimum. Edited by Alec Ryder, Tuesday Jun 20 2017, 07:12 PM.

A gold and red mobile suit zoomed through the air, an extra booster pack giving it speed without draining its battery. "I need to hurry...I'm not very surprised they left without me. No one knew exactly when I'd show up. Looking around he scanned the ocean looking to see if he could find the ship. His sensors picked up few mobile suit signals. "Ah, there they are...." He spoke allowed and engaged the boosters thrusters to max speed. Quickly he headed towards them and opened all communication channels. Before he could interact with them he over heard bickering among two of them.
Shortly after another member spoke up.
Using each of their communication lines he sighed and spoke up. "You could say you were being watched, by me. So far my impression of this team isn't a very good one. In my opinion, this team lacks some serious communication skills. Starting with the headstrong idiot swearing over the comms and addressing people as if the "red coats" are beneath them." His voice was cold as he continued speaking, "I don't care what your ranking is or who your family is. Never should you act the way you did, pilot of the Gelgoog Kishi. Now i'm sure someone provoked you, but if you think your response was appropriate then you are sadly mistaken. As for the ranking you hold, that can easily be taken away. Ms. Lauren Zala is your team leader, regardless of rank you are to listen to her and before giving yourself your own job, ask her. You do not have the authorization to fly off to scout the area until she gives you the 'a ok!', understand?" Shortly after he gave them all a cheery smile, "Now I'd like to formally introduce myself to all of you. My name is Ruvik Stark and from this day forward, I will be your new teammate. My main job is to make sure this team works well together." He gave them all a salute and detached the booster pack from his mobile suit. |

Lauren would be lying if she said that this entire dispute wasn't testing her patience, and when one said lying, they meant it in the utmost form of dishonesty that one could imagine. She let out a sigh, along with a groan at the entirety of the situation. Sure, she was well aware of Mihael's nature, given the lengthy amount of time that she had been acquainted with the man, but his nature was what truly made him such a valuable friend and a talented pilot, along with his skills in a mobile suit. She could vouch for him, and she'd always defend him because it was him that defended her back when they were not only children but when they were both at the military academy together. "Whoa now, I don't recall you being the one in charge of the team. I'm pretty sure if you run over the paperwork, you'll see a pretty little name etched at the top. I think it's 'Lauren Zala', if memory serves me correctly. I follow her orders, and her orders alone, because whether you like it or not, we're known as the Zala Team, not the goddamn Pentis Team." Mihael rolled his shoulder, adjusting his position in his seat as he looked at the faces of his entire team. "I don't care what kind of backstory or history you've got behind you or under your belt because at the end of the day, if you want any kind of respect, you'll do best to remember that it's earned here on our team. You don't get to walk in and demand it, let alone expect it because you wear a fancy black uniform." He let his hands move to grip the controls once more before he moved his mobile suit to the side, giving the Re-Justice and Owl Blitz a bit more leg room. "Mihael.. please." Lauren sighed. "I show respect to my Commander, and she's the one sitting in the cockpit of the Re-Justice, that blue and purple mobile suit right there. It's a little hard to miss, y'know." He rolled his eyes as he glanced at Lauren, watching her face starting to show the annoyance that was present in her voice. "It doesn't matter who I am or where I come from. I could be a Yamato, or a Zala, or even an Asuka, and it wouldn't mean shit. You don't see Alaric or Eren acting like they're king shit because of their names, do you? No, you wouldn't. Just because I'm a Joule and the son of two council members doesn't mean that I sit here, think I'm king shit and that I can get away with murder. I earned my uniform, just like everyone else, and I've proved myself more than capable of being an 'ace' pilot." He paused, if only for a moment. "Maybe you should seriously get off that goddamn pedestal that you've put yourself on and take a look at the world from a different point of view, 'cause quite frankly, I'm already sick of your shit. I'm not going out of my way to challenge you to shit. If you don't like me, that's your problem. As long as that woman right there thinks I'm alright, that's what I care about. My relationship with my commanding officer is important to me, because in the end, I need her to feel comfortable relying on me to back her up on the battlefield, to know that I'm going to have her back despite what the world throws at us. My sole purpose on this team is to do as she instructs because at the end of the day, she's the one calling the shots and her word is law, because she answers to no one but the council and the Chairwoman herself." As he finished speaking, he heard another voice over the comms and his gaze moved to the new mobile suit that had joined them. "Oh. Oh shit." He would've facepalmed if not for the helmet. "Welcome to the Zala Team, sir." He chuckled a bit nervously, unsure of just what kind of impression he'd just given their new teammate. Lauren smiled softly. "My apologies, sir. We were unsure when to expect you, and I had my ship leave Gibraltar a lot sooner than what was originally planned. I'm glad that you could make it, though. It'll be a pleasure to have you with us. Do make yourself at home, as much as possible." She turned to look at the rest of her teammates, watching as Nilus had vanished from visual sight before she glanced down at the radar. At least her sensors could still pick him up. "I would have preferred if you didn't just tear off ahead of us, Pentis." <<---------------------------------------------------------------->> -Earth Alliance's Ninth Fleet- 10x Des Moines-class Cruiser 4x Spengler-class Carrier

---------------------------------- Aegon shook his head. "Give me a moment." He paused before sighing. "Let's see how this plays out." He looked over the faces standing with him. "We've got the upper hand here, at least for now. Vance's suggestion seems like it might be a good idea. Take some of the lesser units with you, use them as you see fit for this battle. When it comes down to it, you're the ones I'm counting on to get this done, to sink that goddamn ship." He folded his arms over his chest, tapping his boot on the floor as he thought about it. "We've got ten ships escorting us, eighty Windams, sixteen Buster Daggers, and sixty-four Kingfishers. Use them, I don't care how but do it. I want that ship a mass of debris floating on top of this ocean by the time we're done here today." His voice was stern as the alarms started blaring. "Sir! The enemy ship is just ahead!" "There's your mark. All units, launch!" He issued the order, saluting them before he moved to take his seat. "Give them the green as soon as they hit the catapult. I want all our units, aside from the Lycan, launching." --------------------------------- Jensen didn't need to be told twice. He bolted from the bridge, making his way to the locker room to chance into his flight suit before he was grabbing his helmet, moving himself to the hangar where his mobile suit awaited him. As he stared at the machine, he smiled. "It's just you and I, buddy. We're gonna rock this shit!" He grinned before grabbing the line and climbing into the cockpit, securing himself inside. "Alright, I'm all fired up!" He grinned as he moved his mobile suit to the catapult, waiting for the green light before he launched from the Phobeos. <<---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->> Alright, ladies and gentlemen. That's your clear to launch all mobile suits! All members will now assume posting and we'll being the battle! |

Nilus was a bit less tense after that, he was still serious as usual, but he had just had to get that off his chest. He wasn't exactly by the books soldier, but he always respected the chain of command and hated those who thought of it loosely. He guessed for now it be pointless, some soldiers were just not the ideal soldier. Nilus looked back at his communication monitor showing Lauren. "Apologies Commander for sprinting ahead, I had thought this was just a relaxing flight to Carpentaria after all? I can fall back into formation or land if that's what you want? What are your orders Commanders?" Of course by now however he was about five thousand meters away ahead of the team not that it would take long for his suit to fall back since it designed for speed and agility in the first place. Of course before anyone could even respond, the Gelgoog Kishi's sensor's began lighting up as if it was holiday season. Looking through his monitor to where the heat signatures were coming from, Nilus jaw nearly fell off when he saw the entire fleet on my screen. "Ohh......holy....shit...I was right." Nilus muttered it under his breath but it was loud enough on the comm, albeit barely, of course he said it without thinking. Recollecting his thoughts quickly, he had to for shit was about to get real interesting now. Wasting no time, The Gelgoog Kishi ripped through the air at maximum speed to reach it's maximum height it could in the atmosphere to avoid any ship to mobile suit missiles. Keeping his communication to everyone on the team, he sent the Curruption the data to the Captain then the team and the signatures and footage from his monitor to the entire team and the Corruption so they wouldn't doubt him. Collecting his thoughts, he brought up the corruption bridge quickly, knowing the bridge codes, he put it on his main monitor. "Captain, I've sent you combat data and footage from my recon report, Earth Alliance Fleet dead ahead, I need to report this to the Commander, Pentis out sir." He switched his comm system to the rest of the team, He didn't mean to cut the captain off but he had to report to the Commander, "Commander....Shit just got real, I've sent everyone the combat data and the footage from my monitor, I guess Mihael just got what he's been wanting since the combat engagement near Orb....I don't know the deal is but we got entire Earth Alliance Fleet right ahead of us" Catching his breath, he spoke again. "I think there's nearly twenty vessels and am sure they got a mobile suit force of there own, your orders Commander? I am at my maximum reach in the atmosphere, I can continue to recon safely for the most part until the team catches up to gather more data or I can fall back to the team in about forty nine seconds." |

Ruvik sighed, annoyed at the continued bickering of the team. When he heard about the Earth Alliance he wasn't fazed at all. "Excuse me Ms. Zala, I'd like to answer Mr. Pentis' question. For the answer is a simple one. Mr. Pentis, it is unnecessary of you to rush over there. You don't know for sure if they're here to fight or not. In fact, you may cause a fight by going over to them while not yet being fully calmed down from the situation you caused with your teammate. Now in terms of what would be smart of you to do is staying exactly where you are until your team arrives. We are a team after all, we don't need anyone trying to be hotshots when they don't know the full details of the situation. The images you sent use are valuable, however we have no need of you to gather research, this is more then enough. Now Ms. Zala, how would you like to interpret the situation?" Jarath smiled, he was happy to finally be able to go out for battle after waiting so long. Him and his 3 other teammates we're cleared to launch when they were ready. "So Kasumi has to stay on the ship eh? Makes sense, considering her mobile suit isn't the best suited water battles. Anyway let's go Daisuke, Jayce!" He made a quick jump onto the stairs and then ran over to his mobile suit, entering the cockpit right after. "All systems seem to be in check,i'm going to launch now. Jarath Barrack, Havok, let's get this party started!!" The Havok was shot forward and launched onto the battlefield. |

Daisuke watched his teammates excitement, Jarath had always been one that enjoyed battling and wasn't afraid of showing that excitement. He watched him run off towards the Havok. Daisuke turned and bid his farewell to his younger sister. Then turned and looked and Jayce, "You haven't gotten to fight a big battle with us yet. I look forward to working with you on the battlefield just as we worked together to get rid of that harridan and her inadequate son." A smirk materialized onto his face as he spoke those words. "Let's get going now. We can't keep Jarath waiting too long otherwise he'll harass us later." He swiftly sprinted towards his mobile suit and entered the cockpit. Scanning over the systems, he informed the CIC that he'll be launching. "Daisuke Asagi, piloting the Guidance, heading out!" He engaged the thrusters and launched himself onto the battlefield. |
