Awaiting at the RV point, both teams held out in a small encampment. The situation had turned bleak and both Redtail and Black Manta had to leave the comfort of the hotel they were staying in order to prepare for the arrival of some more allied teams. It was barely 4:15 in the morning when the ground began rumbling under Daniels sleeping bag. He awoke when the shaking wouldn't stop, to his radio and ear comm beeping. "Redtail, this is Blue Rhino 2, we're approaching he RV point please confirm." The man said. Daniel leapt to his stuff an orange smoke flare, he quickly moved outside and popped it open, setting in an open area for the friendlies to see. "Roger Rhino, popping orange smoke. Good to see you, area is clear." Daniel replied. After about three minutes of waiting, two trucks carrying eight people each rolled the hill. Two linear tanks and three light armored cars with MG turrets followed behind those. The sight of allied armor meant they were expecting trouble, but Daniel had to scratch his head wondering what the situation was now. He moved back into his teams large tent and got straightened up, he came out of the tent all properly dressed and moved to help setup the other tents. The others were still knocked out cold from being tired, so Daniel was gonna let them wake up when they were ready. Black Manta squad was already hard at work putting up some open use tents such a open copula types. This area was being set up as an outpost, but it wasn't going to be in use for too long. There was still three hours till dawn, so mission briefing would wait until then. Daniel moved to help, grabing as much gear as he could and began setting up. Just after setting up a two of the tents, another rumbling notified everyone of another vehicle arriving. A large trailer drove up, a technician steping out. Daniel moved over to ask what was in the trailer. "What do we have here?" Daniel asked. "We brought the Ensigns Tiratore along as requested. Black Manta's machines will arrive in a few minutes as well." The technician replied. "I guess thats fine. Hopefully we wont need it, but its a nice precaution." Daniel said. He walked over to the Ensigns tent, not peeking in but lightly scooting the flap over to atleast get a word in. "Ensign, you should probably be gettin up now. Looks like they brought the Tiratore with them, you'll need to prepare it." Daniel said. Waiting a moment for his notification to sink in, he moved away from the tent and moved over to a tent serving coffee and donuts. Edited by Vanguard, Mar 30 2013, 06:17 PM.

With only the quiet whirl of the propellers to keep Takumi could be mistaken for thinking he could get away with a nap. Although granted a nap under the water was not exactly something he'd like to frequent. "All units get ready, keep radio chatter low unless something is up. But if something goes tits up you speak up fast." With the order likely being the last thing said over the radio, Takumi looked up as their little vehicle parked down at shallow water at the facility's edge. With a slow and careful disembarking Takumi swum up towards the surface with what gear that was strapped to his body in his hands. Breaking the surface with a few others, the key members with the grappling hooks launched the ropes with a soft puff of air pressure before the clatter of metal on metal or concrete came. But most revealed they were secure with soft tugs allowing the FDX agents to ascend to dry land. The first agents up secured the perimeter rifles up ripped from plastic wrapping allowing other specialists to orient themselves and their gear. Takumi himself checked to see if the wrapping around his own rifle had held and thankfully it did as no water leaked from the magazine well. Slapping a magazine into the assault rifle Takumi yanked the charging handle back before dumping his scuba gear, it was all commercial gear so there was no reason to worry about leaving it. "Alright people, last checks. You're all authorized to fire at will but they don't know where here yet try to be sneaky and remember if you have a suppressor they're still going to hear you. Still trust your judgement and report in when needed, I'm not going to baby sit you Team One good hunting." Takumi nodded to the majority of Team One before turning and double checking his vest was on properly. With each team were at least a dozen or so men who were perfect for an infantry mission like this, plus with whatever support the MS team would provide given the supposed light defenders here, still it was better to hide all your cards if things went to plan there'd be no need for the MS team to deploy. "First Team with me, lets roll on Shabibi ." A man sporting some nightvision goggles spoke up to get his group's attention and pumped his shotgun before loading his SMG as well. "Point guard move up we'll move in pairs, hope you guys got a buddy at the sub." With a slight smirk under his balaclava the team leader checked the map and pointed towards a row of parked tanker trucks to where they'd need to head off towards on their way to Shabibi. (Alright quick OOC Two main teams like the briefing, but if you want to wait it out a bit in the mobile suits just make a note of it in your post that you're staying in reserve on the submarine.) |

At least these accommodations are not pretentious; this simple, harsh and ridiculously cold night at the middle of nowhere… Emma was already awake and gearing up. The subtle noise from the engines of the trucks and light armored vehicles awakened her earlier. She was fastening her flack jacket when Daniels instructed her to check the Tiratore. A specialist unit for this mission? And it’s one of the first sniper units that was ever rolled out in limited numbers. Emma has been dreaming of using a dedicated long range unit for some time now. But financial constraints only made her pilot second generation Dagger Ls when Orb was already outfitting their entire fleet with the transformable Murasame line. On the flip side, she was able to practice close quarter combat with the aging Dagger Ls making her a decent combatant all around. "Yes! I’ll follow shortly, Lieutenant." Thereafter, she found herself in front of the truck that brought the Tiratore. When the covers are removed, it revealed the suit still on its factory preset paint job. "They didn’t even bother repainting with a desert camo." Emma snarled before boarding the Tiratore’s cockpit. Pulling the keyboard, she log-in and started tweaking the OS to combat ready settings. While doing so. She remembered the days when she was given the opportunity to test out long range prototypes by the Atlantic Federation during the reigns of Logos. Maybe I’m the one who got rusty at this stuff... She pondered as she was cycling through the specs of the Axon Incorporated model. ((A post is a post.)) Edited by Reikakou, Apr 2 2013, 11:32 PM.

Sam listened to the briefing and as much as she wanted to join the ground forces she wanted to get to “know” her mobile suit a bit more. As Sam made her way to the mobile suit hanger she looked to watch Takumi depart with one of the teams and couldn’t help but think of one of her brothers. She looks at the ceiling for a second thinking of them especially Boris. “French toast” she says drawing some of the other crew to give her a odd looks. She finally makes her way to the hanger and looks at the GuAIZ before walking to the lift that moved to the cockpit and stepped inside and took her seat. She strapped herself in and put the machine in standby mode so it could be fully turned on and to save battery power. She switched through the mobile suits armaments and made a note to request another rifle to dual wield maybe a software upgrade to help in using the weapons. |

Fidgeting around lazily about amongst his stuff Lance could hear the trucks and light armor vehicles moving about and getting ready. He grabbed his handgun, check the clip, loaded a round into the chamber and holstered it. Finished loading a few more clips for his handgun and placed them into a couple of clip pockets on the same belt as his handguns holster. "Hmm... Probably ought to make sure my rifle is loaded as well..." He thought to himself as he reached down next to his bunk and picked up his assault rifle. He pulled the clip out of it, checked the rounds inside and placed it back into the rifle. Grabbed a few more clips and slide them into place on his vest. Swinging the rifle over his shoulder, he stepped outside and hurried over to one of the jeeps that was just started up. Hopping into the back, a box of grenades was sitting open in front of him. Snagging a couple and hooking them to his vest he said, "These ought to do nicely if I need a distraction... Or a good boom..." He laughed to himself as he adjusted his helmet, straightened his jacket and smirked.

MBF-M1F Astray Flight Type - Alex Dunning Deep within the bowels of the Vosgolov-class submarine, its wings folded neatly at its sides, the Astray Flight Type waited. The Astray-F was little more than a modified M1 Astray, with an increased propellant capacity to support its flight systems. This made it relatively easy to maintain, and the M1 had been an excellent machine in its own right. In its cockpit, the blonde Alex Dunning waited on standby. It would fall to him, and to the other reserve pilots, to move in if the situation on the ground became untenable for the two infiltration teams. He was torn between hoping for an opportunity to prove himself to the other, more senior men, and hope that, this time, he would not be needed. All the same, the sharp, heavy 9-meter sword was ready in its place, the rifle was docked to its backpack hardpoint, and the Astray was ready for anything. As was its pilot... |

Blue Cosmos Daniel ----------------------- Daniel watched the camp come together the whole camp come together with in just a few hours. By the time the camp was complete, many soldiers gathered at the main tent for a breifing of what was going to happen. A small comm line was setup at the podium so that anyone in the trucks or the mobile suits could hear what was being said. Daniel looked around to notice his team respectfully setting up rather than gather at the tent. Shit was going to get hot very soon, so preparation was appreciated, he'd give a smaller heads up to them after to make sure they understood what was going on. Daniel motioned over to the front of the tent and awaited for everyone to quiet down. Commander Deen of the Black Manta team moved to the center and opened the briefing. "If I can have your attention please, I'd like to get started." He said. Deen waited a moment, motioning to anyone still chattering to shut up or get thrown out. Once it was quiet, he continued. "We are here because we need to retrieve a very high priority package. Of what we are recovering is not of any importance right now, but we do need to take the package as quickly as we can and get out of here. Now, just a few hours into yesterday evening, we recieved information that our contact for whom we bought this package from went soft on us. He refuses to deliver the package to us and wont give any real reason why. Headquarters wants to have him questioned as soon as possible." Deen said. Deen waited a moment before continuing, allowing everyone to take a minute to understand what was going on. "Now this mission requires two teams, the main force will head to the near by Refinery. Intel has informed us that the package we seek is located in a tanker harbored there. Then there will be a small det from the main force that will head into the city and bring in the arms dealer for questioning. Now, everyone will need to be about their wits on this one. We don't know who or what is being used to guard this package so we've brought in quite a bit of equipment just in case. I'll allow the Lieutenant here to fill everyone in. Lieutenant, if you will please." Deen said. Daniel walked up and began giving placements as ordered. "Alright Listen up, for this mission we need to be at our best. Here is how the grouping will go. The main ground team will consist of me, Redtail Two, Black Manta Four, and the majority of Onyx. Heavy weapons team will consist of Redtail 4, Black Manta Two and Three and Blue Rhino one and Two. The Detatchment Team will be Black Manta One, Redtail Three and a couple men from Onyx. Remember this when you get to the mission zones, only open fire if fireed upon. If there is a fight, remember to shot to kill any targets that pose the biggest threat. As for those in a mobile suit, if you do manage to take and or survive a crippling blow, ditch your machine if need be and hitch a ride, but completely destroy your machine to avoid leaving any evidence. We're here to get our purchase, not start a war, YET. The mission begins in 15, all groups get ready!" Danial said. He ended the briefing with that and dismissed everyone. Daniel left the tent after the majority of the massive group was outside preparing. He walked over to the preparation table, grabbed his Magpul and FN Five-Seven, loading all the necessary ammo and checking all his stuff before heading for the rear truck. The Detatchment team commondered a light armored jeep with a machinegun nest and began loading up. FDX David ---------------------- David, following the rest of the group, surfaced just behind the Kagezuchi. Once on the surface, he began stripping off the uncessary gear such as the wet suit, scubba tank, and flippers. So no one would find these, he threw them into the water to ensure no one could easily identify the equipment. He brought forward his equipment bag and unsealed his weapons from the plastic coverings. All his weapons were nice and dry, no water leaking at all. David popped the mags in his M4 and Glock 23, both silenced, and checked the mags for ammo. They we full so he loaded the mags back on and moved up to the Captain/Commander of the group. ""Alright, team two is ready. We'll be making our way ASAP. I believe 2 - 3 hours would be our perfered time limit?" David asked. He was eager to go, but without proper information, he was a clueless as the next guy. While waiting for a reply, David continued to check his gear. There was bound to be some unavoidable fighting, so he needed to be ready. Edited by Vanguard, Apr 5 2013, 07:12 PM.

Checking the condition of her combat knife and her suppressed semi-auto pistol, she brought along a few extra magazine clips with her. Light and easy would be optimal in this situation, she thought. Having confidence in her precision and ELSEIA's close combat ability, as well as the fact that Coordinators have superior physical abilities compared to the Naturals, she decided what she brought with her should suffice. Of course, it wasn't that she didn't consider the situation that they may have to face people of the same kind, but such a situation would be considered a rare case. She checked that her footwear would emit minimal noise as she moves, making sure it's good enough to keep up with her movements and allow her to close in on a prey without exposing herself too early. "This is good for you, ELSEIA?" "Fine enough." "Then we're ready." |

Leon fidgeted slightly on the sub as he thought of the mission ahead. He was assigned to team one which meant that this would be the first time he was on a non-simulated ground battle. The idea of actual guns firing back on him was a little unnerving, but he trusted in his teammates to protect him while he dd the technical duties that his role was assigned. It would not be long before the commander of this mission to the group into the water so they could infiltrate the base. It seemed like a long trek before they arrived on the beachhead drenched in the ocean's cold water. As Leon pulled out one of his trusted pistols, as he could not carry any larger weapons due to the technical payload he had loaded on his back, the man would begin to observe the base. It was quiet... almost to quiet. Regardless he followed as the team leader led on. Would this be there lucky day or had the federation known they were coming? Leon picked up his pace to make it to the front of the group. "If you need to get in silently..." Leon would whisper slightly, "Let me at the doors. I can hack the locks in a second." "Alright people lets go." Takumi motioned a duo of men forward to make their way towards the ship and away from the center of the compound, working their way in would be the first team's job. As the next duo waited Takumi glanced towards the younger female member of their team readied herself. "Elseia, stick close." Noticing the knife Takumi reasoned the young woman was running a light loadout given her small size or she just wanted to be as quiet as possible. "If you're running the knife I'll let you deal with anyone we need dealt with quietly so be ready." After the first half of the team was already making their way forward Takumi stood up and motioned towards Elseia that they'd be moving. With a quick glance around the building that was hiding them from view Takumi moved towards the next building and only paused to check on the rearguard before moving along the back of the building to continue the process as long as the duo ahead of him moved. As for Elseia he was confident she wasn't falling behind. There however was a brief complication as Takumi heard two men talking in Arabic coming down the path they needed to cross. He drew a silenced low caliber pistol, but he didn't want to risk alerting the men inside and glanced towards Elseia before speaking in a hushed tone. "Two men, once they pass take them, I'll cover you if they try something." Pulling back away from the corner to let Elseia get closer, Takumi waited as the conversation from the two men became louder and then finally two two men dressed as workers in jump suits passed by with guns slung over their shoulders, their attention was focused on each other or forward as they walked by easy targets for a coordinator with a knife. "Hours? We're not hiking across open country side to find this guy. This shouldn't take much beyond two hours unless we can't find the bastard." The main waited until the forward part of the team was ahead when another voice popped up and drew his attention back. "You'll probably be getting your mits on computers and things we need to pull intel from then locks, anything you copy you wipe though, no reason to let others know what was going on." A brief look around finally put him at ease and he motioned to the remaining members of the team. "Alright lets move." Leading the rearguard group the team leader traced the steps of the scouts to make their way deeper into the compound, his rifle was up as he checked his corners moving cautiously. He wondered if getting the tech to tap into the security feeds would help them, although given they were going towards the highest concentration of security it would be a good call. "Oi tech, try tapping into the security feeds I want to know where those cameras are and where they stuck all their guards, that'll be where Shabibi is." The conversation made him pause which the group stop behind a tanker truck while the scouts kept up a steady feed of info as they sneaked around ahead of them. |
