The following rules help provide both a fair RPG experience and allow the RPG to be fun within a reasonable manner. Some of these rules might seem a bit restrictive at first, but please understand that without them, there would be no RPG.

General Rules

1.) Please be respectful of your fellow members, anyone who joins this board should not have to feel bad or disrespected because of another members actions. Any form of disrespect from a member or even a staff member should be reported, do not drag out any problems by trolling the other party. Other forms of disrespect include Racism, Sexism and Prejudice. None of this will be tolerated.

2.) Please take note that all members who join this board are considered newbies. This does not mean we'll assume your skill is not as it is, this just means you should show everyone that you are serious about our community. It is recommended that new members make a greeting thread, introducing your self makes for a good first start.

3.) This board has a two strike rule, two strikes and your out, plain and simple. Take note that a strike is not always given, depending on the offense a strike can be avoided or simply skipped and a punishment be made immediately. Should you feel the need to appeal a strike or punishment, please bring the matter up with the staff in a civil manner.

General RPG Rules

1.) Members may only have three initial character slots after signing up. After about 50 IC posts or so, more characters maybe applied for then. Try not to bite off more than you can chew though, unused/inactive characters will be looked down upon.

2.) God modding and Meta gaming, these are both methods of power play that are not allowed here whatsoever. It is understandable that somethings just do not make sense in a writing game, but as it stands you can not auto hit someone just because you are trying to preform a stunt or plan. Your character also can not know everything even though OOC you are reading the other factions development threads. IC and OOC are two different worlds and information just does not work like that.

3.) There is a 48 hour style rule in affect for this game. What that means is you're expected to know when the right time to post is. Waiting for your opponent to reply or making your opponent wait for you to do something IC and OOC puts this rule into active status for that duration. Should one of you not post within that time, it is the job of one of you to notify the other party thus giving them 24 hours more to make a move. Now please do not abuse this rule and intentionally wait for the timer to hit zero, that's rude and very disrespectful to most, if not all, of your fellow members.

Please take note that because of Real life problems, this rule sometimes will not have to happen. Most people here have lives outside of the game and need to take priority over this. If this is the case, please do let a staff member know what is going on or leave a note for "leave of absence" in the introduction/leaving section of the board.

Site Beliefs

These are more-or-less the board beliefs of Wing Reborn. Much thanks to Mousie of RPG-D for her example of board beliefs.

1. No member should feel intimidated by the staff or fellow members of the board. We strive to keep this community an open and friendly one.

2. Applications will never be insulted. While an admin may ask for improvements, usually more details, applications are not flamed upon. It is the decision of the member whether or not they follow through. Admins will always be open to discussion and guidance in the application process.

3. Admins are volunteers and have volunteered their time in running the board. No one should be afraid to contact them at any time, for any reason, extending to even the smallest question. Remember, they've signed up to do just this!

4. Hostility toward other members is not appropriate and all complaints are to be conducted privately, through the PM system to an Admin only.

Complaints Policy

If you're not happy with something or treatment on Wing Reborn, you have the right to lodge a complaint, have it investigated and responded to in a prompt manner. Much thanks to Dante of RPG-D for the writing of this Policy.

The administration of Wing Reborn seeks to:

•have your complaint dealt with efficiently,
•know the outcome of any investigation into your complaint,
•treat any and all complaints or concerns with confidentiality and care

To register a compliant or concern contact an admin or member of staff that you feel the most comfortable talking with.

In turn, you may be contacted by the staff to provide details and information on the complaint or concern in question.

The only people who will know you have made a complaint will be the other members of the administration to resolve and handle the situation, and all complaints will be treated as confidential.

Please be assured that only those who are involved in resolving your concern will be told of the nature of your report and the details that you give.

Complaints and concerns can be registered via private message. While everyone is free to use instant messaging to communicate with staff socially, please do not bring complaints and concerns on instant messaging. You will be asked to compile these into a PM.

Mobile Weapon Rules

Obviously, as a Gundam RPG, mobile suits are going to be a major part of roleplay. That said, there are certain rules that are in effect governing exactly what can and cannot be done.

I. Choosing your mobile suit
Each faction has a set selection of mobile suits available, which can be seen in the relevant section of the Armory forum. You may ONLY choose from mobile suits that are shown as available to the specific faction your character belongs to.

II. Types of Mobile Suits
Mobile Suits on Wing Reborn are divided into two categories: Standard Issue units, and Special Issue units.

A. Standard Issue units are your basic grunt units - Leo, Aries, etc...and are pretty much globally available. If you want one of these, simply PM a member of the staff (Ventus, VTyphoon, or myself) and let them know which one you want. They'll reply to confirm your selection.

B. Special Issue units are your high-performance and prototype units, such as Tallgeese or the Gundams, and because they are so much more powerful than the typical grunt, they are very heavily restricted. Typically, only one or two of any individual Special unit will be available.
They can be requested if available, but the ultimate decision of who gets those is made by the Staff - at least two members of the staff have to approve for you to get them.

Additionally, NO member may, under any circumstance, control/pilot more than ONE Special unit, regardless of how many characters that member has in-game. If one of your characters already pilots a Special unit, ALL your other characters are required to pilot Standard units.

II. Changing your mobile suit
Mobile suits, presumably, are very expensive pieces of hardware. Assume therefore that, once you've been assigned a mobile suit, you're going to be keeping it for a while.
In other words, no, you cannot swap your mobile suit for every thread.

There is ONE exception: Many mobile suits can be used equally well in space and on Earth; some cannot. If your selected mobile suit is so restricted(Ex: Aries), and the roleplay moves to a theater in which it cannot be used, then PM a member of staff and they will reassign you a different unit. Alternately, for a given sortie a member of the staff may request that your character pilot a different mobile suit for that battle. If that is the case, they will PM you, and your character will be temporarily reassigned for that battle.

III. Customization
Yes, I know everyone wants to customize their machine up the wazoo, probably. But there are rules for that too.
First of which is, ANY custom mobile suit submission request must be for a customization of a pre-existing mobile suit that is available to your faction; this means no entirely custom units.
Second, modifications must be within certain limits, which are outlined below.

Custom Colors
If all you're changing is your machine's paintjob, that's fine. Just state what colors your mobile suit is. Mind you, you can't change your colors every time - pick a paint scheme and stick to it.
For any modifications beyond simply recoloring your machine, you have to submit a request in the appropriate forum, and to follow the rules below:

Standard Issue units
Standard units can be modified to a limited degree, as long as the modifications remain within reasonable limits.

Acceptable modifications include handheld weapons or any externally-mounted weapons or equipment, as long as they can reasonably be supported by the mobile suit.
NO internally-mounted/fixed weapons modifications are allowed.

Special Issue units
Special units CANNOT be customized. At all. EVER.

Entirely custom units
Not happening. EVER.
