Name: Akane

Age: 14

Race: Newman/Human (mixed)

Eyes: Gray/Blue

Hair: Red

Combat Style :

Ranged attacks with support TECHNICs, but isn't afraid of getting up close and personal with a single-handed striking weapon.

Personality:

Easy-going and fun loving, she has a fairly outgoing personality, and is always happy to meet new people. Unfortunately, she's also a bit naive, and tends to take people at face value. Although she appears to be a decent fighter, she doesn't put the effort in that she should, instead prefering to shop for new clothes, or hang around chatting with her friends. Although lately she's gotten just a little more serious about things, due to a certain individual...

History:

Akane grew up on Neudaiz with her mother, and two older sisters. Her father, a Human, was a Vector Track maintenance worker for the TTB company, so his job kept him away from home more often than not. At least, before there was an accident, causing his death. The company paid quite a large sum of Meseta to Akane's mother as a result, so she was able to keep things together fairly easily. Also has a cousin (Ehrin) and uncle living on Parum, both Human (from her father's side of the family).

During the initial SEED invasion, Akane was visiting Parum to do some shopping. To her, the Divine Maiden wasn't such a big deal, (she was jealous), and she'd rather go see what the clothes store had to offer than go to some stupid ceremony. There was a lot of commotion, and a number of SEED lifeforms had somehow gotten into the city. Some idiotic weapon enthusiats with no combat experience whatsoever added to the chaos by thinking they were able to defeat the SEED. Akane's moment came when she saw a young Human boy being chased by one of the lifeforms. Not being one to just walk away, she grabbed a handgun from a dead enthusiast and chased after them. After a few missed shots, she got lucky and managed to divert its attention... To her no less! After a few more frantic shots she ran in the opposite direction, straight into the arms a of female CAST, a Guardian no less. She promptly moved Akane aside and defeated the beast.

Once order was restored, the CAST asked Akane if she'd be prepared to undergo Guardian training in order to protect more people. Angry at herself for having to run away, Akane accepted this offer gratefully.

History 2:

In her defence, Akane did actually apply herself to her training for a while. She just had tendencies to get.. Sidetracked. She was passed to and from various instructors, basically because they got sick of telling her she needed to make more of an effort, and they were fed up with her chatter during missions. She ended up with Leo, who made the fatal comment, "She's just a kid, how bad could she be?" in responce to an instructors complaints.

Leo actually stayed her instructor for quite some time, probably due to his kindness and patience. Akane, however didn't see it that way, and believed him to be patronising towards her. After what she considered a lecture (but was merely advice) from Leo, Akane got particularly angry and said she was quitting. Leo managed to get her attention by mentioning a place where she could do some special training, and offered to meet her there later, an offer she eagerly accepted.

But when she arrived, Leo was nowhere in sight. She waited for quite some time, but he never arrived. She did however, meet a shadowy Newman who spoke oddly. Later, after she went home to Neudaiz, that same Newman was there again. Following him, she found him to be extremely strong, and perhaps the perfect person to help her get stronger. She resolved to follow him and quit the Guardians, so that she could perhaps find her own path.
