Hey guys and pantsu and potato venders... and DnD players/DMs too, I guess As you (may or may not) know, there has been a SERIOUS decline in stable scheduling. This sucks hard, and we've lost a lot of player base in many games, not to mention some DMs may not be able to hold their games on their previously scheduled times. Life has been sucking pretty hard as of late, huh? Well, I present to you, a new system, in which myself and two other DMs are currently utilizing to maximize playability for both the DM's and the players! Here's how it works: 1) Go to this link and put down the times you will be available for the week shown at the top. If you cannot be available for any known, set-in-stone times at all, then just put down your week is not known. DO NOT make new posts. Just edit the post you have put down already. This keeps things less cluttered, and easy for the DMs to keep track of things. 2) Sometime before that week comes to pass, the DMs will (hopefully) gather, and then (hopefully) contact me (or Baruk, whom I give permission to edit that said post), and say the time and days they wish to have their game, based on the schedules the players posted for that week. The schedules are NOT set in stone, and are subject to change each passing week. Just pay attention to the post at the top, and you will see your game, what time it is being played that week, and what day. To the DM's: This is the process we use to choose the game day and time: 1) As in the above part, we all look at the schedules of the players. 2) The DM at the front of the "line" per say, gets first pic of when and what day their game is. The line is very much what it sounds like. It is a pre-determined order of DMs, the first DM in the line obviously choosing the game first. A DM -may- decide to cancel their game outright. That does not have any effect on their position in the line. 3) When the current week starts, the DM who was at the front of the "line" moves to the back, and the person behind them moves up to the front. Thus, the person who chose second on the first week, now chooses first on the second week. The person who had chosen third on the first week, would now choose second on the second week. It moves in rotation like this on a week-by-week basis. 4) The LATEST the next week schedule display can be decided is by Sunday of the previous week. I, and the other DMs, realize things may come up that will mess with these schedules. Sometimes schedules are just not stable. That is understandable. We will not hold anything against you, as it is the point to our system to remain flexible. Just be sure to give your players/DM a courtesy message letting them know you will not be able to attend. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Suggestions? Contact me via any form of messenger (as displayed below in the post, or in my profile), or send me a Private Message. I'll help you out, and listen to what you have to say. This is a new system, and we're mostly trying to start getting it going, so any input is valuable! Edit for players This does NOT put you in the game. It makes things more available for you to be in the game. If you want to play in a game, you still need to contact the DM. Don't just ask to show up one day please. They may have an intro process for you to go through. |
