Because it didn't fit in General Discussion. *nods* My RL Tabletop group have been playing a D&D 4E game for some time now, and it's highly enjoyable, particularly now the plot's got moving. Quite a lot has happened for me to summarise, but I'll do my best in a few posts following this one. This one is for the notable characters. The PCs! Baruk Namillus Human Paladin of Bahamut Multiclassed Warlord Lawful Good Baruk is the noblest character in the group. This is... Not difficult. With compuctions against needless slaughter and absolute dedication to the kingdom his Church serves, he's the group's moral compass, always dedicated to the Right rather than the mission. Zacharias Human Pursuit Avenger of the Raven Queen Multiclassed Ranger Unaligned (Lawful Neutral) Zacharias is bloodthirsty, but restrained. At least, that's Baruk's opinion of the Avenger. The Paladin's presence appears to be curbing this bloodlust. He's death incarnate with his Fullblade in hand. Krosis Deva Wrathful Invoker of the Raven Queen Unaligned (Lawful Neutral) Krosis completes the original team, focusing on the Raven Queen's wrath to scatter adversaries to the winds. Baruk's and Zacharias' tendencies to be covered in blood during battle give the Invoker some assistance in this. Krosis advocates bringing people to justice for their crimes, and disapproves of people attempting to gain immortality - after all, as a Deva, that's his schtick. Fangorn Reedsight Halfling Chaos Sorceror Multiclassed Fey Warlock Unaligned (Chaotic Neutral) Fangorn wields the power of the Elemental Chaos and Wild Magic, it blazing forth around him in battle. He joined the group after being kicked out of his halfling caravan for wielding these sorcerous powers. He wields two daggers through which he channels his spells, and opponents baited into striking him always find themselves paying for it. Rowan Eladrin Predator Druid Good Rowan joined the party after they cleared out an old cathedral to which they were sent to die and began to head back towards the central city. Her teleportation and role as the party's secondary healer have proved incredibly useful over the course of the game so far. NPCs and Villains The Weather Witch Eladrin Unaligned The damsel in distress for most of the game, the Weather Witch has recently proved a valuable asset to the heroes, telling them of her research into Ritual Magic that allows her to travel in the rain. While slower and less accurate than long-distance teleportation, the Rain Step ritual has the benefit of bypassing teleportation wards. And, let's be honest, arriving somewhere by precipitating on the destination is damn cool. Imperial Prince Carros Human swordsman Evil Imperial Prince Carros is considered Zacharias' rival by the group, due to both his commensurate swordsman's talent and his inability to stay dead despite the Avenger's mutilation of his corpse. Like the other seven children of the Emperor, he seeks the Dream of Immortality - and doesn't care who dies that that Dream might become reality. (More information will be forthcoming in a couple of days!) |
