Holy crap, when was the last time I ever posted anything around here? Hello, folks. Your lovable pudgy kitty is here to announce CHAMPIONS ONLINE~! What is that, you may ask? HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?! ...Well, then again, the game hasn't been having a great start so far, and I haven't even seen a single, freakin' visible copy at Wally-World. Thank goodness for EB Games/Gamespot/Whatever the hell it's called in your region. Well...maybe some of you have heard of this game. Maybe even played it. Ish. Eh. It's made by Cryptic Studios, the gentlemen who brought you City of Heroes and Villains and such. Also, I'm bored. Very bored. As fun as this game is, it can only be so much more fun if there are good friends to play with. I've been having lovely contact with the strange alien-folks called "human" in this silly, radical world called "real life", but my friends all have terrible computers, and thus cannot play this lovely game. If you are all still roleplay buffs, then this game is for you. It has a large roleplaying community--though, through my experiences so far, 90.9001% of it sucks, and thus we need you professionals. The folks are pretty bleh...a whole lot of "demon people" and especially a crapton full of yifftastic furry folks. BUT~ there is the odd bunch of folks that are swell folks. So no worries about that. Gameplay? Lots of fun. It's simple, and it's not the whole point-and-click crap. The character creation and customization is the best that I have ever seen in any game yet. You can outfit your "toon" to almost anything you'd like. Some of the options are pretty meh-looking, but it's a lot more diverse than in any other game. Hell, even PSU, which also had some lovely customization...but this is PSU's creation x 10. And you can have your toon use a lovely variety of "powers." Let's see what we got here...if you've played City of Heroes, a good majority of these might be familiar. Electrical powers - Inherit electrical potential, where you shoot bolts of lightning and stuff. It's an area conquerer set of powers. Ice powers - Chillin' nonsense of fun. Uprise stones of ice and freeze your enemies, slowing them down and trapping them for a good beating. Fire powers - I never had a toon with fire powers yet, but you can combust large explosions and fun firework nonsense. Force powers - Create air explosions and crushing powers from the will of mind. This is a nice set for blasting your enemies over 9000. (Not literally, exaggerating is just fun) Munitions - You don't always need supernuttynatural powers to be a superhero. Wield a large variety of guns 'n bazookas and fun stuff. Gadgeteering - Technogeeks that create madness. Li'l robots that shoot, flying drones that heal, attacking teddy bears with pirate hats~... Power Armor - ohei lookatme I'mma American Transformer or an Otaku Gundam boy. That's pretty much what this set is all about. Martial Arts of varieties - Four sets in this. Wield a single blade, wield two blades--which I think is more kickass than single blade, use vicious claws, or unarmed kung-fu-kickin' stuff. Telekinesis and telepathy - The will of your mind is epic and destructive~. Buhuhuhuhuh. With telekinesis, you can be all Xemnas-y or Star Wars-y and wield laserbeam swords created by your mind, or with telepathy create all sorts of mind-confumbling nonsense. Might - All Brawn and No Brain. Using epic muscles, you can pound your enemy into the ground, or uppercut an enemy high up in the air. Or just have a spazzy fit and stomp all around with your mighty feet and cause earthquakes. Supernatural - Poisons and stuff, with epic chain-wielding weaponry. Darkness - ....This set just plain sucks, so I don't have anything to say about it. Celestial - During a Halloween event we had, we had the chance to unlock this set early on. But now that the event is over, it is available to anyone. It's a lovely bunch of healing and light-power nonsense. Sorcery of many kinds - There's not much for me to say. But there's lots for the game to say about this. Four types of sorcery are in this single set, and you have the chance to wield a good majority of it, whatever your preferences may be. And a lovely variety of "travel" powers, where you can choose your own method of how you move around fast in areas. The fun thing about this, is that you can mix and match all of these powers to whatever you want. Although, mix and matching can be difficult...you will need to think up a good combination that works, and you will need the right stats to support it. The story and some of the NPC characters in this game could certainly be better, that's for sure...but meh, I won't complain too much. Ish. So join along as a super Champion in a world where Detroid is dead but a new city rose above it, where there's blatant disasters in Canadian wilderness areas and in some random Desert area, and other places that you can visit as you gain levels. A world full of ridiculous mission-name-puns and references that can make you "lol" now 'n then. And all for a mere, lovely price of $15 a month~!!... ...Yeah, that's not a very thrilling price. It is well worth it, though. We got staff that cares, and isn't on an Asian leash where the owners simply lol at our grief and misfortune like some companies-- *COUGH!!* sega *COUGH!*. -ahem- And we get periodic updates and bugs that are fixed faster than SEGA can even freakin' update at least once. MUCH MUCH faster than that. ...So yeah, fun game~. It's at a rocky start, so we need more people! More support!...I'm just so lonely in this game. QQ That's all from me for now, folks. From your lovable fat cat. |

Of course, Noblesse, of course~! Tao is lots of love. ...Of course, Emmy, of course~...you Furry-Yiffy folks need love, too. Just not from me. ;< Also, why darkness sucks. Through my experience and by the word of some friendly folks I know from the game, there are practicly only two good powers from that set. One is a crowd-control power, and the other is a supporting power thing. But, that's just my personal nonsense. Give it a go if you'd like, but I would probably recommend mix 'n' matching with the Darkness set. |

Even on this game I seem to like meleeing more than maging it up. Personally I like using dual axes one here. Also like using pew pew guns, like assault rifles and gatling guns o.o I do have a character that uses fire magic, it seems fun. |

Fire is not lame when one of the first places you go to is the icey plains of Canada! ![]() EDIT: On a side note, I have been trying to make Noblesse but it is a bit hard trying to go from memory. Would anyone happen to have a screenshot of him? I checked my bio and seems I was inactive for too long on my photobucket <.< |

And what a terrible weekend that was. Apparently, just because there was a free weekend, that caused some very terrible lag galore. At least, to me it did. Was not happy. ;< Cryptic is such a SEGA sometimes. |
