Tabitha in: "Today, I am a single witch!"
By: AlbieGray. Based on characters created by Sol Saks and Jerry Mayer.

It was a warm Sunday afternoon and a very furious young woman stormed down the stairs with lots of luggage. The young woman was named Tabitha Stephens Thurston, and she had a good reason to be angry.

For one thing, Tabitha was a witch. Much like her mother, Samantha Stephens, and her grandmother, Endora, she was, to quote her mother, "a real life, house haunting, broom-riding, cauldron stirring, card carrying witch." Also, like her mother, she twitched her nose to invoke her powers.

That day, Tabitha had caught her husband, former talk show host, Paul Thurston, in bed with a Miss Teen USA! She got so mad that she conjured up a pie and threw it at her unfaithful husband.

A few hours later, she dematerialized herself and her luggage to Paris. She would stay there for a while.

Minutes later, her grandmother, Endora, popped in. "Tabitha, sweetheart," she said, coming to her upset granddaughter, "what happened?"

"I caught my husband cheating on me," Tabitha said, brokenly, "he was cheating on me with a beauty pageant contestant, or former one, I should say."

"Why, that fool!" Endora said, "I've half a mind to turn him into a serpent!"

"I already fixed him, Grandmother," Tabitha admitted, "I told him what I was, and then I conjured a pie and threw it at him."

"Very good work, darling," Endora said, "I was wondering what brought you to Paris."

"Well, you and Mom always loved it," Tabitha said, "and I've never really had a chance to use my powers to travel."

"I see Minerva worked wonders with you, my dear," Endora said gently, "I am so glad you are back in the fold. Your grandpapa, Maurice would be thrilled with you."

As on cue, a thunderbolt sounded, and in popped Maurice, Tabitha's maternal grandfather.

Endora wrinkled her nose, "Well, well, well," she said sardonically, "speak of the devil."

Maurice looked through Endora, "Nice to see you too, my dear," he said sarcastically, "I am here to see my granddaughter."

He then turned his attention to Tabitha.

"Tabitha, my precious," he said, coming over to his granddaughter, "what happened, darling?"

"She found out her husband was a snake," Endora said, "she got mad, revealed to him that she was a witch, and pasted his silly face with a pie."

"I'm never marrying again," Tabitha said beginning to cry, "especially to a foolish mortal!"

"Now, now, darling," Endora said, "you're half-mortal, you know."

"I know, Grandmama," Tabitha said, "but I am now going to embrace my witch side."

"We'll help you out, my pet," Maurice said, "won't we Endora?"

"Everyone in the family will," Endora said, "we will see to that."

Just then, her brother, Adam popped in, "Grandmother, Grandfather, Tabitha?!" he said in shock, "why are you all here?"

"I left Paul," Tabitha told her brother, her voice breaking once again, "I caught him cheating on me!"

Adam was stunned, "With who, Tab?" he asked.

"With Carrie Prejean!" Tabitha said sarcastically, "No, not her specifically, Adam. Some former Miss teen USA!"

"I'm sorry, Tabitha," Adam said, giving his sister a hug, "does Dad and Mom know?"

"No," Tabitha said, "Mom is somewhere in Italy, Dad is back in Connecticut. That is why Grandmother and Grandfather are here."

"That is why I am here too," Adam said, "you know I have some warlock powers, right?"

Tabitha looked askance at her brother, "Are you thinking?" she said.

"Yeah, I couldn't believe that you finally got the nerve to admit to Paul that you were a witch and pelted him with a pie." Adam said, "You're much braver than I am, Tab."

Tabitha smiled, "The pie was my idea," she said, "Lemon meringue."

Endora winced. "Sorry Grandmama," Tabitha said, "I forgot." Endora had told Tabitha about the time her mother and father had a fight with pies, and Endora got smacked with lemon Meringue. It was due to a trick that she had pulled along with Serena, Samantha's cousin.

"So, I am thinking that I should embrace my supernatural side," Tabitha said.

"Sounds good for me," Adam said, "I am practicing on my own, of late."

Endora was smiling, "I am proud of you, darling," she said. "My grandchildren, carrying on the witchcraft tradition."

For a few days after that, Tabitha, Adam, and their grandparents were all over the world. Tabitha reveled in her witchcraft powers.

One day, while in Portofino, Italy visitng with her mother, Samantha, Tabitha happened upon Paul with the girl he had cheated on Tabitha with!

Samantha had long left Darrin, after she had found out that he wouldn't unbend about her witchcraft. Although they were still very amicable, Samantha had used her powers more freely than ever.

"Tab!" he squawked, "What are you doing in Portofino?"

"That is my concern," Tabitha said coldly, "not your's Paul! But since you won't give up until you DO know, I am with my family, and visiting my mother!"

"I don't believe it," Paul said arrogantly, "do we, Bambi?"

Tabitha winced at the girl he was with, who giggled like she knew nothing.

"Tabitha?" Adam said, "Are you...?" He looked in anger at Paul and his new girlfriend.

"How DARE you show your face in Portofino?!" Adam glared at his former brother in-law.

"I have rights," Paul snapped at Adam.

"Cheating on my sister, no doubt," Adam said, "and then parading your stinking new girlfriend around like a prized dog!"

Samantha came up, "What is going on here?" she asked, "I saw the argument, and I tuned in on your thoughts."

"It's my former husband, Mother," Tabitha said.

Samantha glared at him, "Well, well, well," she said, "I see you are still the same ladies man you were when you married my daughter."

"Come ON, Bambi," Paul said, "I really don't want to deal with these nutcases!"

"Nutcases are we?" Endora said angrily, "I have a good mind!"

"Let me, Grandmama," Tabitha said, and glared at her former husband.

With a steely stare, Tabitha recited an incantation, "Paul Thurston, I don't like the way you gloat," she said, ""so now, I turn you into a billy goat!" She used an old classic spell that Endora had once used on her father.

She then cast a spell on him, turning him into a goat!

"You turn him back into Paul Thurston right NOW!" Bambi shrieked.

"No worries," Endora said, and she then incanted, "You're as empty headed as a float," she said, "now join your lover as a billy goat!"

Endora then cast a spell on her that turned Bambi into a goat as well!

"Nice work, Grandmama, I loved it! I'll call Animal Control," Tabitha said, "and have them arrested! Then I will restore their normal forms!"

"Great work, sweetheart," Samantha said, "I am so proud of you, Tabitha."

"Thanks, Mom," she said, "this was also part of Adam's idea too."

"Adam," she said, "you're embracing your warlock side too?"

"Yes, Mom," Adam said, "Grandmother and grandfather were helpful too."

Samantha looked at her parents with gratitude, "Thank you, Mother, Daddy," she said, "for bringing my children into the fold."

Endora smiled, "My pleasure, my darling," she said gently, "I love my family very much."

And from then on, Tabitha and Adam were involved with their supernatural side. Whenever anyone crossed them, the sibs would use their witchcraft to exact revenge. Tabitha's strengths were her spells and her abilities to sense variants in the air patterns; while Adam, who was still learning his powers, was mroe adept at levitation; teleporting and dematerialization.
