The camera catches up Nina Stokes in the backstage area. She stretches a bit and rubs her neck slightly―the effects of the chair shot she took earlier.

She reaches into her back pocket and pulls out her iPhone 6s. The camera transitions behind Nina, so that it can get a clear shot of the phone. Nina tosses a wayward glance behind her; she’ll away of the camera’s presence, but doesn’t mind.

After lingering on the phone for a bit, the camera fades out.

How far can you push a man before he ultimately snaps? That’s the real question. Jackson has never believed in luck, he has work, toiled, and scratched for everything he’s ever gotten. Yet, there is linger doubts in everyone’s mind, whether it’s Zero babbling on about his current losing streak, Brandon’s constant badgering, or the likes of Luke Wisia and Nicole Hamilton making life a living hell for him. That’s not even taking in to account people like Jinzai and Hunter Werth who were constantly looking to knock him out of contention. Or take him out completely. And last but certainly not least among these things was his own self doubt. His brash exterior is often just a mask to cover up his own deep seeded insecurities. Because as boastful as he can be, he can only be taken seriously once he accomplishes the things he’s has promised. He knows that and as he leans over the sink looking into the mirror that hangs over it, he can barely stand to look at himself.

JAX MAGNUM: Fecking failure.

Those words are always the ones that haunt him most. Most people weren’t expected to have an immediate impact on HKW. And those that due have a storied past, which eventually leads them to their big moments. Alexxa Corra’s success in SSWA, Levi Chamber’s success overseas in GFP and in SSWA, Chris Strike’s success, Zero McHannon’s overall success. It’s be a time tested theory, if you’re coming to HKW, you better be ready for the best. Jax never had that experience though, every week he’s in the ring is just another futile attempt to catch up to those who were on the fast track. In his mind it feels as if he hasn’t won a match in years, his confidence was quickly fading, knowing that it is just a matter of time before others surpass him. It’s why he’s been so actively pursuing this Hybrid title match To give himself a bit of hope, to keep himself relevant.

Ever since the events of Hybrid Hell, he’s been fixated on getting back into the title scene. Hybrid Hell has scarred him, more so mentally than physically. He was so sure he was the best wrestler in that match, he was so sure he was walking off with the Hybrid title that the events of that night had left him broken. As he stares into the he bites down on his lip.

JAX MAGNUM: Anudder one, Anudder fecking one! Bitter little man!

He shouts at himself, every day the strain of the country he carries and the emotions harboring within himself multiple. Feeling as if he’s suffocating under the weight of expectation, and reality. He isn’t good enough, not in the ring or out of it. The one thing he wants in his personal life is slipping away, and everything he wants in his professional life seems distance now. Almost lost, and if he didn’t grasp onto it with everything he has, he knows that it’ll be gone forever.

It is moments like this that he often goes back to why he does this. To support people back home in Ireland. His charity work, his overall status as a role model, and hero to the people of that nation has kept him level headed through many tough times. None of those times were anything compared to this however. It has been the roughest patch of his life. Pushing away from the sink he looks down at his hospital gown, this is what they want. Him to be incapacitated, his to be laying in the hospital and to be nothing more than a forgotten memory. That’s why Jinzai had tried to take him out at Crowned Royalty. He knows how much this means to Jax, but what none of them truly realize is that even before Jinzai tried to kill him. Jax was at his breaking point, the sadness of his failures in the ring were almost identical in nature to those of him outside of the ring.

For a man who believes in Disney style romances, he never pictured himself not having his “happily ever after”. Real life on every level is being a bitch. He uses the sink for leverage, staggering back into the door. He groans loudly, almost roaring in pain.

JAX MAGNUM:FECK YE JINZAI

He opens the door, falling to his knees, the pain he is experiencing is excruciating. He begins to crawl towards the hospital bed. This was not how his new year was supposed to be spent. It is 2016, his year, the year all his dreams come true and now he wonders if any of them will be happening. As Jax hears the sound of someone coming he uses the rails of the bed to pull himself up. He couldn’t risk them seeing him like this. He rolls onto the bed as, laying on his side. The only position that’s remotely comfortable for him.

NURSE: We want you to stay the night Mister.Magnum. After the considerable amount of trauma your body took, and all the injuries. We would like to continue your evaluation tonight.

Jax laughs at the comment, he wasn’t staying in this hospital any longer than he had to. He manages to roll back off the hospital bed knowing he’s not a hundred percent.

JAX MAGNUM: I’d like my phone is all. I’m good a little sore is all. I’ll sign any waivers I need ta, to git out of here.

The nurse nods as she going over to his stuff and gets his phone out, as she walks it over to him, he checks his message. As if this situation wasn’t bad enough, he didn’t have a single new year's message. No one cares, and he couldn’t help but hurt at least a little. He opens up twitter with a sigh. He types out a message. “ugh How easy it is to get torn apart by feelings you don't understand.”

As the nurse gives him his clothes she exits his room allowing him to change back into normal attire, which takes him an unexpectedly long time. He continues to play with his phone as he looks over at the nurse.

JAX MAGNUM: I hate this fecking holiday.
Jax goes to move but his whole body buckles, right now even with all the doubts and self-loathing, his mind is stronger than his body. As he looks down at his phone he realizes he needs to stay.

-----------

Jan. 1 2016

Jax rides down the backstreets of Brooklyn pulling over on his motorcycle on the side of the road. He reaches into his pocket grabbing his phone.

JAX MAGNUM: This is it, where the hell.

Looking around for a moment he goes up to the garage. Perello told him to meet him in the back, so figuring what the hell, Jax tentatively walks up still limping from the night before and knocks on the garage door.

JAX MAGNUM: You in there Joseph.

Jax is in a no non-sense kind of mood. The over exaggerated accent is almost completely gone as he shouts waiting for an answer. Not even a second later, the door of the garage swings open, letting out a cloud of skunky smelling smoke from the garbage.

JOEY PERELLO: You have to keep your voice down. Wife is sleeping. Neighbors are sleeping. The whole neighborhood is sleeping aside for me.

Perello takes a drag from the joint he was smoking and flicks it out into the street.

JOEY PERELLO: Had to make sure I was in my right mind for this meeting, Jackson. At three in the morning, I don’t know what I’d be liable to do if you were to piss me off.

Perello holds the door to the garage open with his non-injured hand, waiting for Jackson to follow him in. Once both men are inside, Perello walks over toward an older model Harley Davidson - one that he had been working on for ages.

JOEY PERELLO: This fucking thing. Needs so much work yet and I could barely do anything with this…

He points at his broken elbow, showing that he wasn’t wearing the sling or any form of protection around it.

JOEY PERELLO: Wrong time for me to break my elbow. Have you ever heard of a broken elbow? Because I sure as hell never did. Not until I was diagnosed with it, at least. And because of this, I had to forfeit my NFA Championship and I’m going to be behind on my training.

The Subversion GM lets out a frustration filled sigh.

JOEY PERELLO: You could bet dollars to doughnuts that I’ll be back in MLC way before summertime.

Perello grabs a wrench that was rest on the Harley, and looks back at the frustrated Jackson Magnum.

JOEY PERELLO: Doubt you’re here to listen to my problems though, Jackson. What’s so important that you had to come to my home at this time?

Jax looks over to the bike with a quick gaze. Then at Perello, Jax took his coat off exposing the fact that the Hybrid title is wrapped around his waist. He goes over circling the bike.

JAX MAGNUM: I love these things. I just parked mine outside, and I am apologetic for showing up at your house at this hour.

Jax pauses thinking about what Perello had said, realizing that Joey had to deal with everyone’s problems week in and week out without venting himself most of the time.

JAX MAGNUM:It’s okay man, I get it. No one ever has to listen to your shit, and you have to listen to ours all the time. That said I hate to do this, but I need something, and I don’t even care if it’s me that gets it.

Jax reaches around wincing as he takes the Hybrid championship off and holds it in his hands.

JAX MAGNUM:I’m tired of fighting for this night in night out, when the man who holds it can’t be bothered to even grace us with his presence. I’m not telling you what to do, you’re the boss. Or at least one of mine, but I am saying that this bullshit needs to stop. I want him to defend this, as soon as possible, and I want you to know he’s not getting it back until he does. He’s not a champion, I have no respect for him, and he’s showing he has no respect for this title.

Jax sighs, it’s very rare for Jax to ever be genuine. This being someone who he works for, makes this an even rarer occurrence. Yet, for once Jax can’t help but feel he is in this situation.

JAX MAGNUM: I don’t care give the shot to Jinzai. I’ll take it from him later, it doesn’t matter to me. But, he’s either scared or hiding or some shit boss. And he’s disrespecting everyone in the back with his shit. Not that I give a damn about them, but I do care about my legacy. Which will be tied to this belt, meaning the more he tarnishes it, the harder I’m going to have to work to restore it. And quite frankly Jinzai and myself are killing each other. To try and make this relevant, to keep up with a brand that has Fel as No Limits Champion.
That’s not an easy task.

Perello scratches at the back of his head.

JOEY PERELLO: You know, I do agree with you to a certain degree, but not all the way. I am just as confused as you are as to why Hunter hasn’t been showing up to events. Truthfully, I figured that he was just hiding in the closest as he usually does whenever there’s a target on his back. Being the Hybrid Champion, there is now a HUGE target on Hunter’s back and he doesn’t typically bode well in situations like that.

Dropping the wrench, Perello glances at the Hybrid Championship, a little surprised that Magnum was still in possession of it.

JOEY PERELLO: I agree that Hunter should not be missing shows. Like you said, on Defiance, every single champion shows up to every show. Every title on that brand is talked about all over social media. And yet… on Subversion… it’s almost as if people have forgotten about the Hybrid title. Quite honestly?

Perello grunts, showing that he was frustrated by it himself.

JOEY PERELLO: I don’t like it and I’m sure the fans don’t like it either. But what I do not agree with is you being in possession of that title when you did not win it. But…

Another short pause from Perello.

JOEY PERELLO: I guess if you didn’t have it, then people would definitely forget it existed. Hm…

Perello drops his wrench and takes a seat on the cooler inside his garage. Before he speaks up, Perello stands back up, pulls open the cooler, and grabs a can of Coors Lite beer.

JOEY PERELLO: This is quite a conundrum.

Jax looks down at the belt then back at Perello, he’s not handing the belt over. Not without the GM knocking him out at the very least. Jax pauses, realizing he’s just gotten out of the hospital. He knows there has to be a better way to do this.

JAX MAGNUM: Look I’m not going to fight you over it. What I am going to say is that I am one hundred percent going to do everything I can to never give this belt back. You’ve got a choice, that’s actually why I came here. You can take this belt, or have Hunter try to take it off me. If he even cares enough about it to try. Fact is, I stole this belt before Crowned Royalty, and not even that got him to show up. Joey,

Jax takes a deep breath, in an effort to keep his composure.

JAX MAGNUM: This belt represents every ounce of hard work I’ve put into this company. Fact is, I don’t like what it’s becoming, and I know you can tell how pissed I am, simply by the fact I’ve never talk with you like this before. And at two o’clock in the morning none the less. Now I’m sure if you wanted, you might be able to take it from me. If you asked for it, honestly, I’d probably hand it over. But it’s better in these hands than it is in anyone else’s right now. Hunter beat me, but he did not pin me, he did not submit me, and he never will. Make him show some heart, make him take it from me. Not you, that’s all I’m asking for.

Jax extends the belt out offering it up to the GM as an act of goodwill. Shaking his head the entire time not believe that he’s actually offering the hybrid title up as an act of faith. Perello stares at the belt for a moment and just shakes his head.

JOEY PERELLO: No. You hold on to it. It’s not like you’re going to throw it off of a bridge or anything like that. As far as Hunter defending the title goes...

Perello takes a swig from his beer and swallows it down with a hard gulp.

JOEY PERELLO: I’ll have a decision made by the time Subversion 6 is over. I’d make a call now, but the draft can shake a whole lot of things up. For all I know, the Hybrid championship and champion MAY just go to Defiance and we’ll get the No Limits championship and its champion. Who knows?

He takes another swig from his beer.

JOEY PERELLO: Regardless, I’ll have a decision made by the time the show’s over.

Jax tosses the Hybrid championship over his shoulder. He nods at Perello, wishing what he said would come true.

JAX MAGNUM: Well, that would be an improvement. That said, If we all stay here and such. I will have this title, and I’ll go down as one of the best champions this company’s ever had. And I only need one opportunity to take this belt away from him. Not telling you what to do man. Not even saying I should be number one contender, but I won’t let what happened at Destiny happen again. So, I’ll waiting until the draft ends, but don’t expect me to sit back and wait for Hunter to come after me. Since we both know, that may never happen.

Jax taps the faceplate of his belt with a smirk. He’s still in obvious pain as he turns away from Mister Perello,

JAX MAGNUM: I appreciate your time, going to head back to my hotel though. I’ll see you at Subversion, hopefully by the end of the night something’s figured out man. Until then, I’m going to limp my ass home. You have a good night sir.

Perello nods at Jax, before going back to drinking his beer while Jax leaves the garage. He needs this, and he isn’t even sure if he can beat Hunter. But at this point he has no choice. He made a promise. As he gets onto his bike he groans, glancing back at the title belt one more time as he whispers to himself.

JAX MAGNUM: I’ve got this.

As if it’s to assure himself everything’s going to be alright. With that he fires up the bike and is off.

Womp, womp.
The event had once again put Sophie in somewhat of a foul mood. The pandemonium of Fran's victory had given the young girl a headache. She can still hear the polarizing noises of the crowd. Hell, she thought she heard Fran yelling from all the way in the ring. Sophie, on the other hand, began to pack up her stuff. She had done what she came to do. Well, "hadn't" is the probably terminology.

Sophie heaved her bag up, before exiting her locker room. She felt some at her feet when she took her leave. With an intrigued expression, she looked down to the ground. There sat a box. With a roll of her eyes, she picked it up and placed it inside of the bag.

SOPHIE EL: "Whatever."

She kept down the hallway, knowing that Luke would be waking up soon. She would give him his space. He had just lost a momentous match. More so, he was probably embarrassed. He would be back home, screaming up a storm in some sort of self-hatred frenzy. Sophie made a mental note to make him a cake or something. He likes sweets, kind of. As she kept down the hallway, she looked among the blank walls. There wasn't a painting on them like others. People began to take pictures of her works and talk greatly about them. Tonight, they were disappointed.

She strolled towards the medical bay. She saw doctors tending to Luke who was hardly responsive. On the other end, she saw something familiar. Salem Cartier was being tended to after Nicole's assault. Sophie stood there, deciding if she wanted to enter the room or not. Luke needed her possibly. But she immediately told herself "no" when she saw Artemis, her older sister standing there. Her eyes were trained on her wife, but then they came up.

From the good amount of distance, the two shared a look. Artemis's eyes were full of rage, but also worry. Sophie merely stood there. Artemis looked between them both, obviously deciding if she would go to her sister. Sophie took the opportunity to walk away. Once again, she remembered that Luke would be taken home. Once he is there, she'll cater to him. Artemis needed to be with her wife.

SOPHIE EL: "I could've been in the finals. I could've won."

She mumbled to herself as she kept down the hallway to the large double doors. Once she past some production carts, she punched one hard. The echo of the impact made people jump. Sophie didn't bother to stop, continuing down. She looked at her fist for a minute, seeing blood seeped through a new wound. Her fingers ached, but it didn't matter. The latent fury in her body had vanished.

SOPHIE EL: "But no, I guess it wasn't my time."

Sophie had made it outside. She peered over to see people flooding out the building. She put up her brunette locks in a bun. Then she put up her hood and scurried out to her car. She wasn't in the mood to deal with the fans. Once she had made it to her safe haven, her car, Sophie reached into her pocket. She withdrew her cell phone and gave it a careful gaze.

There, she began to check Twitter. Nothing grandiose there. Once done there, she opened her contact list. She scrolled down until she reached Lady Magdalena's contact. She hovered her finger over the call button for a minute. She waited a long while before simply going to the home screen, hooking up the auxiliary, and turning on her car.

SOPHIE EL: "Not tonight."

Jordan Parker

Crowned Royalty is over and the fans are filing out of Madison Square Gardens. Among them is, HKWs youngest star, Jordan Parker and his girlfriend Onyx D’Andrea. They walk through the crowd holding hands, stopping a few times to sign an autograph when recognized. They step out of the crowd and past a member of HKW security to get in the backstage area. As they go into the backstage area they are seen by, HKW interviewer, Tristian Morris. Jordan nods and waves, which causes Tristan and his cameraman to hurry over.

TRISTAN MORRIS: You want to do an interview?

JORDAN PARKER: Um, sure.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Great!

The teen whispers to his girlfriend, who smiles and nods before stepping off to the side out of view.

JORDAN PARKER: Go ahead.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Welcome back, it's been awhile since we've seen you around HKW shows.

JORDAN PARKER: It's not been that long, just a few weeks.

He shrugs then continues.

JORDAN PARKER: I was told I needed to make a change, so I've been trying to correct that.

Jordan is referring to a tweet he received from one of HKWs owners that threatened to fire him.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Is that why you're here tonight, despite not having a match?

JORDAN PARKER: Partly, also just wanted to see what happened up close and personal.

The interviewer nods.

TRISTAN MORRIS: That means you saw what happened with your dad, Brad Kane?

JORDAN PARKER: I did.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Ever consider jumping in and helping the old man out?

A small laugh comes from Parker.

JORDAN PARKER: He'd be more upset that I did help him. He is too prideful to take help from others, much less his son. Besides, didn't look like he needed much help. He'll be just fine on his own, always has been.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Fair enough. What were your thoughts on the rest of the show?

JORDAN PARKER: Like always it was a great show. Didn't go quite how I had predicted, but it still a good show. I thought Luke was gonna win the No Limit Championship. Had hoped that Salaam would go further, but Nicole Hamilton is a little crazy.

He smiles and laughs a bit.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Yeah, so what are your plans for the future.

JORDAN PARKER: Just to get better and continue to push forward in the Lionheart division.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Really? You haven't done very well there.

JORDAN PARKER: I haven't, but I will. I'm not going to run away and just be a “wrestler”. I can be a “wrestler” and fighter”

Yes, he used the air quotes.

JORDAN PARKER: In fact I would really like another fight with Fabiana Garcia.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Do you really think the outcome will be any different?

Eye roll.

JORDAN PARKER: Yes. If I didn't think I could beat her, I wouldn't ask for the fight. I get I probably have to work up to a match with her.

TRISTAN MORRIS: It's funny you say that, you do have a match booked, in another Lionsden, on January 24th in Sacramento. You'll be facing Sinn Duagant.

JORDAN PARKER: Sweet! I can't wait for the opportunity. I have to work my way back up and Sinn is that chance for me.

TRISTAN MORRIS: Well, good luck.

Jordan nods and walks off camera to his girlfriend.

As Crowned Royalty has come to an end, the scene takes place backstage. We see Nicole Hamilton curled up in the corner of a dark room, wearing a white wedding dress. Her wounds from tonight have not healed, but the exhaustion in her eyes shows. The dress has slashes cut into it, and is splattered with bloodstains. As her dark eyes peer up, a sly grin crosses her face as she speaks out softly with her large eyes glued to the cameras.

NICOLE HAMILTON: Salem, Salem, Salem….you just don’t know when enough is enough, do you? Not only did I ruin your chance at MY bloodlust championship...but I took the crowned royalty spot away from you AND ruined your wedding night. While you and your beloved are sitting in a room tending to wounds and as you assure her that everything will be alright...I’m here...watching you. I’m here waiting. I’m here just waiting for you look into my eyes and tell me you’ve had enough...because that time is soon to come.

She smirks, before tilting her head.

NICOLE HAMILTON: Everything I said tonight I meant. Every word from my mouth is the truth. Salem your days are numbered. Start saying your goodbyes because pretty soon there will be absolutely nothing left of you. You people asked for this...When Salem is no more…..ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WILL HAVE NOBODY TO BLAME BUT YOURSELVES.

She runs her hands through her hair, before shaking her head. Her eyes look down, before the smirk on her face grows and grows..

NICOLE HAMILTON: Each and everyone of you have yourselves to blame. You think I was always like this? No. YOU all made me like this. You think I’m crazy and insane and psychotic? YOU people are the ones that need the help...but don’t worry...I’m going to help each and every one of you understand who you really are and what you’re worth...and that’s absolutely nothing. Salem is nothing more than a pure example. Just like I’ve taken her opportunities….I’m going to take and end her career. You’ll see…

She looks up, laughing a manic laugh..

NICOLE HAMILTON: You’ll all see…

She says with a smirk, twirling herself in the bloodstained dress giggling...

In a dark, cold room backstage, a light swung faintly. Someone pulls up a chair, sitting in it backwards with a strap hanging over it. One half of the HKW World Tag Team Championship sat there, glistening in the darkness like a pearl in the depths of the sea. The camera catches the person in possession of it: Jimmy Page. Page sat there, looking off into the distance.

JIMMY PAGE: ...The ends justify the means.

Page mutters into the camera, he shrugs lightly.

JIMMY PAGE: See, if you know anything about me, I don't let things go. I don't like to do that because I'm a person who values CLOSURE. And in my match against a certain Jaxon Queen I didn't get the closure I wanted. See Jaxon Queen is a frivolous trope among the wrestler world. He's vain, he's ostentatious, he's in your face. Jaxon Queen was spoon fed the ideology that all books are finished in just a chapter. Well I proved to him tonight that a good story always has a cliffhanger.

Page keeps his icy glare steady.

JIMMY PAGE: See I have plans, big plans, and I really can't be asked to allow a bug of a man put a dent in that. And so Jaxon Queen, though he may have won this battle of cheap vainglory, I instilled in him that I WILL...WIN...THE WAR...!!! And I've fought plenty of wars and have won...!! And if Jaxon Queen can see past his petty bravado he will understand, this is a war he can't WIN. It doesn't matter how many MODES you have, if you decide you want to go down this path. The only mode I'll leave you in it NEUTRAL...

Page pauses, sniffling quietly before standing back up.

JIMMY PAGE: I did you and Fran a favor. I gave people something to talk about. If anything Queen...?

Page snatch the belt up and begins to walk away, but says almost in a-matter-of-fact tone.

JIMMY PAGE: You should be thanking me.

Page disappears into the dark, but didn't answer the big question: WHY...?

Chainsaw

The camera finds itself in the backstage medical office, where the newly signed Cassius Reed is being treated by the medical staff. He had a gash to his forehead, the attending nurse applying steri strips to the wound. He looks up, as the cameraman enters.

Cameraman: Cassius... we all saw DeMarcus Gresham attack you out there. Do you have anything to say.

Cassius looks down at a picture in his hands. The camera catches a glance of it, the picture DeMarcus Gresham "gifted" Cassius before attacking him in the ring, before he hurriedly folds it, placing it in his pocket. He looks up at the camera.

Cassius Reed: Do I have something to say? Does CA$$IUS! have something to say?

He looks down a moment or two more, before looking back up.

Cassius Reed: DeMarcus wants to dig up history, that's fine. He couldn't do the job before, I doubt he can do it now. He can come at me all he wants. I'm a big boy.

His fingers grip at his pants legs, his knuckles turning white with the exertion.

Cassius Reed: But that guy besmirched the name of a good man out there. You don't get to go around, and drag Santa's name through the mud.

He smiles.

Cassius Reed: But don't worry. If DeMarcus wants to go around ruining Santa for millions of children worldwide, then I'm just going to have to be the Krampus.

The smile becomes broader.

Cassius Reed: And DeMarcus has been a very, very bad boy.

He nods.

Cassius Reed: He came at me before, in EXODUS. He failed. That was his Plan A.

He nods again.

Cassius Reed: He came at me again tonight. And guess what people, I'm still standing. That was his Plan B.

He throws the camera a wink.

Cassius Reed: Next time? Next time is time for Plan C. And you gotta have faith in Plan C.

With Cassius' catchphrase, the nurse has finally had enough of the cameraman interrupting her work, ushering the camera out of the room.

“Come here…”

The voice is Salem Cartier’s, and she grabs a cameraman and yanks him out the door to the alley behind the arena. She has bandages on her back, a jacket slung over one shoulder. It hurt too bad to put it on. She has an obvious limp and scratches on her face.

“Just put the little light on and stay focused on me, okay?”

Arching her eyebrows and nodding her head to emphasize the point, she cleared her throat.

“Nicole…. Nicole…. Nicole…. I've really gotta hand it to you. Not only do you keep me from a goal… this one being winning the Crowned Royalty tournament… but you also got in some vicious extracurricular shots on me after the match. I'm getting tired of this...of you, Nic. I just wanna sleep. But oh no, not yet. I will get some good rest and relaxation after some wrongs are righted.”

She shakes her head, leaning against the brick wall of the alley, clearly spent. She unleashes a ragged cough.

“It's a bit funny, you know. What a day. I mean no matter what you pulled tonight diminished the fact that I got married earlier in the day. That is a moment I will look back on fondly forever. But what happened tonight? When I do what I have to do to you Nicole, the injustices and the annoyance of you this evening will fade into memory.”

Smacks a hand against the wall, spitting on the ground and turning back to the camera.

“I've got Artemis waiting on me in the car right now, told her the doctors needed an extra minute. But I just needed to get some words out...from the heart to you. See, I didn't just come back to HKW to Purge on that Bloodlust belt you had. Oh it was part of it, sure. To make a big impact on my return, win a belt on my first night. No, I took a look around HKW and found you weren't deserving of a title. Weren't deserving of whatever lofty pedestal you /thought/ you were on, Nicole. I observed what the rest of the roster and the general fandom thought. No matter what you were still this nervous jittery mouthy chihuahua in wrestling boots, yapping so loudly to be heard:

LOOK AT ME! MEEEEE!

Well for what it's worth I did look at you, Nicole. I saw beyond that twitchy eyed façade. I knew that within you, you had the potential to be something, but you had it all wrong. A belt is nice, but a belt doesn't make you...not entirely, no. No it is more like you have to make the belt. And running around calling it ‘my baby’ doesn't amount to squat.”

Shakes her head chuckling, she takes a few steps and slumps down, back against a dumpster. She absently plays with the sleeve of her coat.

“So I removed that trapping, I thought I set you free Nicole. But you didn't appreciate my gift to you. To be the best you can be, to be a real champion...you have to crave it, it has to seep into your blood, crawl under your skin, make you so upset and driven to be more than what you are. For when you win, it is not about ‘I have a belt’ it is the mentality of ‘I am a champion, I am elite’ that you have to have whether that belt is around your waist or not. Your attitude wasn't right, girl. Did I make an example of you? Yes I did.”

Lowers her head, shaking it.

“I wanted...I wanted to draw out the best Nicole Hamilton, the one nobody had truly seen. The one that understands and uses all her gifts; to make you more than what you were, a worthy opponent. But…”

Starts clapping her hands, getting to her feet.

“I've gotta say, bravo. What you have unleashed lately, I wasn't quite expecting. They call you crazy but you and I both know that's garbage, Nic. You know exactly what you're doing, and that crazy label you can just toss around as an ‘aw shucks’ get out of jail free card. Here's a little secret, you want to hear it? Come close….”

She crooks her finger as the cameraman approaches.

“I've been gauging you this whole time, sweetums. When it comes right down to it, I've been holding back just to see what you'll do. Why? Because I knew I could take it. And don't get me wrong, you have beaten the hell out of me. Just check out all my injuries to prove that point. Oh you messed up my wedding night. I'm gonna take the high road and avoid any talk of you and weddings, shall we say? I'd hate to….touch a nerve.”

Smirks, shaking her head.

“No, but the fact of the matter is I underestimated you. The way I see it is, you've more than made up for me beating you for that title. The sneak attacks, preventing me from retaining that belt, the post match shenanigans. All I can say is...you done? It's high time I retort, Lil’ Nicky. From here on out, the safety is off, the restrictor plates are removed, I'm not pumping the brakes or pulling another punch. Because now I have seen the full extent of your depravity, girly. And somewhere, sometime soon….we will finish this. There will be finality. There will be a reckoning. I know you won't listen to reason, so as much as I hate to say it...if I have to put you down to get you to stop…”

Sighs…

“I will knock you out in the middle of the ring. I will hit you so hard you will have to watch the tapes back to remember what happened. I don't want to, but I will if I have to. Because now you are where you need to be, the uber Nicole Hamilton is unleashed. But your best isn't better than me on my best day.”

Grabs a broom and sweeps up a bit of the alley.

“Payback is a Witch. ‘Tis the Season…”

A loud bang and a purple cloud of smoke engulfs the alley, as the cameraman is confused. When it clears Salem is gone.

After an eventful Crowned Royalty, Felicity Banks was shown sitting on the floor in hallway of Madison Square Garden. She had an ice pack pressed firmly on her neck, her back leaned against the wall, and the HKW No Limits championship resting on her lap. It was visible by her face that there were a lot of things floating around in her mind, most of it dealing with her situation with her cousin Luke.

Was their little “spat” over?

Would things go back to how they were?

Were they still enemies?

Was he done being a “peasant” as she would say?

She didn’t have the answers just yet, but figured they’d come much sooner than later. Even sooner than she thought.

FELICITY BANKS: Hm… that’s weird. Eli’s usually back here by now.

Felicity looked up and down the hallway to see if Eli was anywhere in sight, but all she could see was Luke Wisia limping in her direction.

FELICITY BANKS: Oh jesus christ. Here we freaking go…

The No Limits champion immediately pushed herself up to her feet and tossed the ice pack in her hand on top of the closest equipment crate. She hunched over and picked the No Limits championship off the floor, draped it around her shoulder, and waited for Luke to reach her.

FELICITY BANKS: Come on, little guy! You can do it!

Felicity taunted Luke as if he were a puppy taking his first steps, and even dangled the No Limits championship in front of him like a treat.

FELICITY BANKS: You’re so close! Come on, come on! You’re almost there!

Luke’s face turned into a scowl as he looked up at Felicity from the end of the hallway.

LUKE WISIA: Stupid bitch…

He tried to ignore the taunts as he made his way in her direction, clearly having to pass her to go about his own business. Wisia stops yards away from Felicity and his eyes instantly start to look crazy.

LUKE WISIA: Really? Gonna start treatin’ me like that after they put a cage match into your favor? You get one win over me when I already beat you and now you wanna act like you God’s gift to Earth?

Wisia started to shake his head, clearly not in the mood to keep fighting with her. He looked over to her and stomps his good foot.

LUKE WISIA: I wanna goddamn rematch. We tied one to one now. We’re even. I want another fuckin’ match. No cage. No favoritism towards you by this whole goddamn roster and staff. No more ass kissin’ to the great ole Felicity Banks. Straight up. One on one. Like it was supposed to be. Gimme my rematch.

Glancing at the No Limits championship, Felicity took a moment to think before she looked up at Luke and smirked.

FELICITY BANKS: No. That’s not how this works, Luke. You got your title match because you beat me… and you blew it. You seriously need to get over it, Luke. Your dreams of becoming No Limits champion are done. Go chase after the Bloodlust title or something.

Taking a moment to think it over, Felicity immediately shook her head from side to side.

FELICITY BANKS: Eh, that won’t work. Ashley beat you too so you probably don’t wanna do that. There’s Jack Warren?

Another short pause from the No Limits champion.

FELICITY BANKS: That might not work either. As much as it pains me to say this, Jack’s kinda underrated in terms of in-ring skill. Weird too since he’s World champion, but it happens.

Seeing the rage building in Luke’s eyes, Fel simply flung the No Limits championship to her shoulder and looked ready to walk away.

FELICITY BANKS: Guess you better hope you get moved to Subversion or something. That’s like… your only chance at becoming champion, and even that’s a longshot.

Though it seemed like Felicity was ducking Luke’s challenge, that wasn’t the case. She wanted to give him a rematch, but what was the point? She had nothing left to prove against Luke, and Defiance had a ton of talent that she wanted to face before she fought the same person over and over and over again.

FELICITY BANKS: The only way you’ll get your rematch is if you put something on the line yourself. I don’t know what that could be since you have nothing that I want, but you’re a smart guy… sometimes. I’m sure you can figure something out.

Luke stares at Felicity with a blank face as if he had been smacked as the color slowly drains from his face.

LUKE WISIA: Over…? This ain’t over. I can beat you. You ain’t immortal. If we ain’t come off the cage the way we did that match could have a totally different story to it. Does a tie mean nothin’ to you? WE TIED. We need a tiebreaker. We need to end this properly and I ain’t talkin’ bout a cage or any bullshit like that.

He looks over to the side, realizing that he has nothing to offer Felicity for a rematch.

LUKE WISIA: Half the people you fuckin’ face in this business ain’t got shit to offer. Fran runs from ya. Billy is off fuckin’ goats somewhere. I ain’t got nothin’ to offer but a tiebreaker. I ain’t takin’ no as an answer, though. If you ain’t gonna give me a rematch willingly, I’m gonna make one for myself… and you ain’t wanna go that route, Fel. I’m tellin’ you that right now.

His eyes almost look sympathetic as they glaze over, unable to tell if it was his emotions or drugs that made them that way.

LUKE WISIA: But if you wanna go that route, that’s your call and your fault. If you thought what I did to Colton was bad, you ain’t seen nothin’. I made Ashley’s life hell, but it ain’t nothin’ compared to what I’ll do to you. If you want me to force my way into another match, then I can make it happen. Just don’t blame anyone else but yourself when it actually does.

Felicity reached forward and patted Luke on the shoulder.

FELICITY BANKS: You have fun with that.

She turned her heel, and only looked back to say one more thing.

FELICITY BANKS: … and the answer is still no.

With that, Felicity hobbled her way down the hallway, grabbing the ice pack she tossed on the equipment crate earlier.

Luke then turns around and starts kicking over the equipment. He picks up a trashcan in the hallways and slings it. He starts kick over the lights in the hallway as they smash against the ground. He begins pounding on the nearest door until he realizes that it isn’t going to budge. He then turns to the cameraman…

LUKE WISIA: Tell me you ain’t record this…

The cameraman can be seen turning away with the camera before he’s suddenly stopped.

LUKE WISIA: TELL ME YOU AIN’T FILM THIS.

Then there’s static.
