The video fades in. We are shown various B-footage scenes and outtakes. As they play, the lead animator speaks through voice-over. She explains each character as their outtake footage is shown on the scene.

Essence Vasile
Voiced by Ashley Marie Chase

She is the daughter of Luca and Summer Vasile, and the main protagonist. Before her parents were killed in battle, Essence was given to a village shaman. As the battle between Celeste and the Vasile’s progressed, the shaman saw things going south. He and Essence fled undetected and took refuge in an adjacent (and larger) village.

Out of the nature of his heart, the shaman raised Essence. He did his best to teach her the ways of shamanism, but she never took to it one hundred percent. She did however retain a lot of his instruction and knowledge about healing and medicine.

As she grew older, she began to have vivid dreams and premonitions about her parents. Each dream was more real than the last. In them, they would speak about life, philosophy, and the ways of being a warrior. When she would awaken, Essence would written down everything that she had been taught and told.

After one such dream, Essence’s parents asked her to return to the site of the destroyed village. The shaman urged her not to go, but she didn’t listen. When she arrived there, the village was in ruins. However, among the rubble she was able to recover the remains of a broken thick-bladed sword, which was that of her father.

Soon after, Essence began gathering different manuscripts and documents about swordplay; she then began to self teach herself.

A fair while after her training, word began that EXILE forces had begun accosting a small villages again. She decided that she needed to do something—protect the village, and begin to avenge her dead parents.

Essence is more of a thinker and observer, but she is not afraid to speak her mind. While is is unpolished as a fighter, she does have skills and can handle her own. Essence doesn’t wear any fancy battle armor. When fighting, she wears a white wife-beaters, a pair of pants, and boots. She carries her father’s broken sword into battle; said sword has been restored, resharpened, and fortified by blacksmith.

Celeste Chastain
Voiced by Salem Cartier

Even as a small child, Celeste had a lust for power. She always wanted to be the best. She was born to a moderately wealthy family, and had multiple siblings. In order to stand out, Celeste indulged herself in studying, of all types of subjects. At least in the eyes of her parents, this thrust her above her siblings. Later in life, she was tested and certified as a genius.

Through the process of studying, she began studying the finer points of the the military. In fact, some might say she began obsessed. She enjoy studying and reading about past rulers, their exploits, and their failures.

Along the way, she made up her mind that she wanted to rule. Celeste knew it that was a very ambitious plan. Women rulers in her day were often killed and murdered before they achieved true power. However, that didn’t deter her—instead, it made her lust for that power even more.

When she was of age, Celeste entered into the military. She started as grunt, but that didn’t last long. She was could, ruthless, and uncaring on the battlefield; and, people began to take notice. Later, she transferred over to special forces, where she also excelled.

After years of success, the King himself began to take an interest in Celeste. She was moved to the Royal Guard, and was tasked with taking missions that came directly from the king.

While she was in the Royal Guard, she began developing a plan to kill the king and take power for herself. Ultimately, she chose to give him low doses of poison, administered for the period of a year and half. Of course, she had to hire someone on the cooking staff to get it done. The position weakened the king’s heart; he was soon admitted to the court’s medical facility.

Step two of the plan required starting a war. Therefore, Celeste (and a small team) carried out secret black-op attacks on a nearby, rival territory. The two nations began to feud, just as the king’s health began to go down hill.

The king promoted Celeste to his top general, and tasked her with ending the war. Her battles her decisive; however, she made sure that the campaign lingered a bit longer. The king soon died of a heart-attack. After his death, Celeste delivered several orchestrated “death blows” to the opposition. The public saw her as a mighty warrior, a savior; and the government saw her as a leader.

After ending the war, the public elected Celeste as it’s queen. She could have stepped down as general, however, made it know that she’d be the first active general and leader that the nation had seen in centuries.

Once she had the power that she so desired, her main goal has expansion. She began implementing an aggressive strategy of eliminating and conquering different villages, towns, and nations. The first phase of of the plan start with destroy and raiding the tiny, weak villages. To do so, she first created Project EXILE. EXILE acts as an elite militia within the actually military. It’s officers were hand picked by Celeste herself. Since it’s inception, Celeste and EXILE reigned havoc on the land.

In combat, Celeste wears a White battle blazer (with the EXILE chrest on the back), a matching skirt, and knee-high White boots. She uses a long saber named “Gilgamore.” It is rumored that the blacksmith forged the saber’s blade five hundred times. Celeste gets in re-forged once a year.

Luca Vasile
Voiced by TJ Jones

Not too much is known about Luca’s early past, minus that fact that he grew up in a small western village. When he was of age, he joined a local militia in order to try and protect is village, along with many other small neighboring villages. In his spare time, he consumed himself with learning the way of the sword.

After stalling and halting many threats, the militia disbanded. Luca felt a duty to still help people. Therefore, he packed up what little belongings he had and set out. Luca traveled from village to village, protecting, solving problems, and handling odd jobs. Soon his name began to spread throughout the land.

During his travels, he ran across a woman named Summer. Initially, they saw each other as enemies, and a dual ensued. After thirty minutes, they fought each other to a stand-still. This battle fostered mutually respect. The two then began to chat, and it was revealed that they both her essentially on the same quest. Therefore, they decided to team up.

As they traveled, they grew closer. Eventually, they grew so close that they got married and had a daughter.

During the last of their days, Luca and Summer had been hearing about how EXILE was tormenting tiny villages. As they were fetching water, the heard sounds battle coming from a nearby village. The village shaman lived on the outskirts. They dropped their baby off and attempted to the fend off the attackers.

While Luca and Summer fought valiantly, they were both killed in the battled by Celeste. The village was burned and left in ruins.

Summer Vasile
Voiced by Lyza Reyes

She was born to a fairly large town in the east. Her family wasn’t royalty, per se; however, they did have a large amount of money. As Summer grew up and ventured outside the town, she witnessed the dichotomy between the “have” and the “have-nots.” It touched her heart; it moved her. Therefore, she made it her goal in life to help people who had very little.

Surprisingly, her parents supported her goal. They hired the best trainers and swordsmen the town had to offer. Those warriors always praised Summer and she that she was a natural. After a couple of years of sparring and training, she was known as the very best swords-woman in the town. It was then that felt knew she could go out and help.

Similar to her future husband, she would venture to small villages and help them out by defeating attackers, clearing out wild and dangerous animals, etc. Back then, she was known as “The Ghost of the East.”

Eris Howe
Voiced by Nina Stokes

Born into a military family, Eris (and her brother) were essentially trained to be warriors are an early age. Being the oldest of the two, Eris entered the military a couple of years ahead of her brother. While she was an arrogant loud-mouth, her advanced knowledge of military tactics made her a natural leader. As Reis moved up the ranks, she began leading scooting and raiding parties. Celeste recruited Eris and made her the leader of the 51st Legion (a group of intermediate skilled soldiers who often fight on the front lines).

Eris is averaged sized. Her arrogance often translated into ferocity on the battlefield. Similar to her brother, she wears Exo Chain-Mail into battle. Her weapon of choice is a straight sword named “The Hereafter.” She also employs the use of Cabo. Cabo is a bio-mechanical being that is able to transform into multiple animals. When he is with Eris, he normal takes the form of a horse; however, he can shift into any animal in order to aid in the fight.

Vance Howe
Voiced by DeMarcus Gresham

He is said to be one of the fiercest warriors in EXILE. From an early age, he and his sister were trained in hand-to-hand combat, arms combat, and military tactics. At the age of Twenty-Five, Vance was accepted into the military. He was placed onto the front lines and played the key in several victories. Due to his military prowess, Celeste hand-picked Vance for her personal task force.

Physically, Vance is a bulking individual. He is the largest (and most muscular) male in the land. He is a man of few words, as he prefers to speak with action. He possess an enhanced strength that is far greater than most people’s. And, while he does feel pain, Vance has the ability to block out harsh amounts of pain and continue on with the battle.

In battle, he wears what is called Exo Chain-Mail. It is akin to medieval Chain-Mail, however, it’s material is more protective and substantially more flexible. His weapon of choice is a massive Claymore style sword (to match his massive size) and a shield engraved with the EXILE crest.

Eulália Ibsen
Voiced by Ryan LeCavalier

Very little of substance is known about Eulália’s background and history. What is known, however, it that she was heavily experimented on by shaman and scientists. As a result, her body and composition has been vastly altered. First, nearly all of her body is covered with black markings. She doesn’t appear to feel pain. She has accelerated healing, and can re-attached dismembered limbs (if given enough time). It’s been rumored that she does have a couple of weaknesses, but no warrior has been able to live long enough to expose them. Because of her talents, Eulália was made over EXILE’s Black Operations.

While she does not wear armor, Eulália sports a Black and Silver cloak. Her main weapon is a double-bladed scythe. She also carries a small dirk, for dire situations; although, she’s never had to use it.

Vaso
Voiced by Ace Watson

Part of Vaso’s background was omitted from his file, such as his last name. What is known is that he came from a wealthy and well-to-do family. He was slightly socially awkward growing up, which sometimes made it hard for him to connect with people. Because of that, he often focused on his true love—engineering.

Over the years, Vaso began inventing and producing a number of high powered weapons. Celeste took notice, and brought him into EXILE, in order that he might produce weapons for her crew as well.

Vaso armor set is a bit, unconventional. He wears a comfortable, three piece suit. The suit’s material repels gun-fire and minor blade cuts. His weapon is an automatic firing assault rifle; it is one of a kind, and is the only auto-firing weapon in the land.

Jasper Nass
Voiced by Jason Mentez

He works as an advisor under Celeste. Although Celeste doesn’t care much about public opinion, she know that politically she needs to have some type of good standing; that is where Jasper comes in. In many ways, he acts as an ambassador or diplomat for EXILE. However, he has given tactical and military advice in the past as well.

Some people say that they get a “shady” vibe from Jasper. Celeste has gotten this vibe as well. However, she hasn’t found any viable proof of him engaging in shady acts. Therefore, she still keeps him around. However, she does keep an eye on him, just in case.

The head artist then states that the first OVA is slated to air Monday, January 16th, 2017. The remaining two are still in editing.
