"...The Legend of The Fisk..."

DATE & TIME: 1.27.2017 @ 2:19 AM
LOCATION: Camp Site - Lake Eerie

Her eyes widen and I can see that she is fully engaged in the story. "...You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it. She's one who falsely claims the gift of prophecy or divine inspiration, yet she can inspire no one. She gave my brother so much valuable knowledge that he fell to Ashley Hamilton. Hell... he's fallen every time he's had to defend that belt. And he's okay with just saying he held it." I place my hands in the pockets of my fleece North Face jacket and try to keep from reaching my boiling point.

"We must never be complacent, we must always aim to achieve greatness no matter the issue." JJ nods in agreement as she holds a the marshmallow over the flame. We decided to go camping, that's what friends do. They bond in odd ways. We had gone to see a scary movie and didn't want to be around people after that, so we took the starlight. The real energy of life. The great outdoors.

Lake Eere was a good choice, Giovanni and I had found a nice spot where no one bothers you, and ironically no one could find you either, so safety was always in the back of your mind. We set up a two person tent and build the fluffiest little pallette out of the fluffiest blankets we could buy, and then we built a fire and s'mores were a must. And where this are s'mores there are bags of marijuana and where there are bags of marijuana you will find Malicious Mila.

I remove a joint from a ziplock bag that is filled from bottom to top with pre-rolled spliffs of various widths and lengths. The flame lit the tip and I was sure to chamber the smoke shortly after. "You smoke?" She was so innocent I had to check her credentials too. The innocents one aren't always innocent.

"I've never tried it." J.J. says with a naive grin. Her innocence radiated like fermones. She needed to find a way to hide that innocence. I didn't want to be the one to crush such a beautiful thing, but no one cared when I had my wings clipped.

"Never?!" My eyes widened and I gasp under the moonlight. "Omg!" I didn't know if I should offer her a hit or let her spend another moment in the dull existence she was brought up to believe was true.

"AAGGHHH!" The buzz of my phone startled us both and we laugh at ourselves when we realize it's just a cell phone. I remove it from the bag nearby and answer it. "What do you want traitor?"

"Camila, stop." Cedro says into the receiver. "You're acting like a big baby. You always have. I had this same talk with dad a lot before his passing. You need to live in the real world, you won't always get your way." His words trailed off with the sound of the wind hitting the leaves. I lick my lips and take a deep breath. "--Camila... Camila are you listening to me?"

"Nope." I snap at him. "I'm not listening to shit you have to say. You used to be on my side and when dad died you just abandoned me like he did. Like everyone did! The only person to act like they cared was Ryan Hall and that was only because he wanted to date me." I catch my breath and continue, cutting off Cedro before he can begin his sentence. "I'm not finished yet. As far as I'm concerned you're dead to me. Ha, yeah I know he can expand from learning from more than just you, but he clearly isn't learning what he needs to learn. He's learning how to reach a certain level, not sustain it."

"Camila--" I raise my voice to cut him off. "Shut up peasant!" There is a cold silence on the phone. His frustrated sigh let's me know he's still on the line. "I may have failed a few times, but this time around I'm not failing at anything. I've been unable to obtain what you all have obtained, but you haven't sustained it. It all has ended for you and for him. My name will be known everywhere I go. They can speak ill of me, but they still speak of me. I've been through twice as much as any of them and I deserve more respect than I am given. You disrespected me and so has Tristan."

"You're merciless. And you've changed. You're not making sense." Cedro's words were nuke buttons. The explosion was inevitable.

"I'm what?! Fuck that! Goodbye Cedro. Estás muerto para mi, hermano." I ended the phone call and place the phone in my pocket. It continues to light up and buzz but I ignore it and make myself a s'more. "Are you going to answer that?" J.J. asks timidly.

"Nah." I take a big bite of the s'more, the echo of the crunching graham cracker causes nearby birds to fly from the trees. This was straight bullshit. How much more could the Heiress of HardKnox take?
