Date: April 24, 2017Good day, Ms. LeCavalier. I hope that this message finds you well; and I pray that you are having a lovely, relaxing morning.
You underwent some precautionary testing after your grueling match with DeMarcus Gresham on last night’s edition of Subversion. Initially, my educated guess was that you suffered a
mild concussion. However, I told you that I’d contact you immediately once I received the results.
Attached is a copy of said results, but the my official diagnosis is that you suffered a
grade one concussion when Mr. Gresham hit you with that forearm strike during the later stages of the bout. If you recall, you exhibited to following symptoms:
- Dizziness
- Impaired Balance
- Nausea (slight)
Based on your previous medical records, this appears to be your first concussion. Therefore, I’ll do my best to explain things a bit. Concussions range from grade one up to grade three. A grade one concussion is commonly referred to as
mild, due to the fact that the symptoms often dissipate in 15-30 minutes, and the damage on the body is the lowest. You can probably already a test to this; I’m assuming you are probably already feeling a lot better.
So, let’s talk about treatment for a moment. Grade one concussions tend to work themselves out and clear up after a couple of days, given proper time and care. Therefore, I’m
requiring that you dedicate the rest of this week to
rest and recovery. This means
no weight lifting,
no ring work, and
no Jiu Jitsu.
I know this is hard, especially considering everything you’ve been through as of late. You are very ambitious and driven. I realize that you want to prepare and perform in the gym. However, taking this week off will be beneficial to your health and wellbeing.
Additionally, taking this week off is the best way to insure that you won’t be harmed during your March 1st bout in ECWF. I know I’d never be able to talk you out of that. And, as long as your follow my orders and rest this week, you should be just fine to compete for that match.
Just make sure to protect yourself out there.
Well, I believe that’s all I have to cover. Once again, your test results and reports are attached with this email. Additionally, if you or your wife notice any complications, please contact me at (555) 687-9229. Again, please enjoy your day, and your rest.
