![]() “Mother’s Day Part 1.” Starring: Ashley Maldano & Lilly Maldano Ft. ….. Ashley’s Detroit House It’s early morning on May 14th and our scene takes place inside the bedroom of Ashley Maldano. As she lays in bed fast asleep, her body keeps tossing and turning having dreams that one wouldn’t choose to have. Sleep with Ashley was something that she normally never really had, so when she did she tried to make the most of it….but this morning it wasn’t happening. Maybe it was from the mass amount of liquor from the night before...or maybe it was everything in her life finally weighing in and catching up with her, but no matter the case Ashley was having yet another difficult night of sleep. Her wimpers and grunts filled the room, her face squinting as she seemed to be lost in her nightmare unable to let her mind at ease. Before she could wake up, tears flowed from her eyes in her sleep. As she tossed and turn, rolling in her sleep having flashbacks and visions in her dream, something seemed to trigger and hit her hard as she let out a loud scream, panting and breathing hard as she sat up quickly. As she came to from the dream, she looked around the room and wiped her eyes, peeking over at the clock. ”Jesus...it feels like I just fucking fell asleep twenty minutes ago…” Ashley yawned out, before holding her head in her hands. Her mind couldn’t help but think about the pain she was feeling and the horrible dream she had, but she stayed quiet. Her hand moved to her chest as she felt herself breathing hard. Ashley didn’t have time to sit there and fret on her dream before she looked up as she saw her daughter come running in the room. She held onto her chest before faking out a smile, wiping her eyes as her daughter came jumping on her bed, curling up close next to her holding a piece of paper smiling at her. ”Sweetie you’re up so early. Did Michelle wake you?” ”Nooo Momma! Micha is still sleeping! I woke up early and wanted to make sure I gave this to you before anything else!” She says, before handing the piece of colorful paper to her for Ashley to read. ”I’ve been really sad that you’ve been sad lately, so I wanted to try and help make your day special because you deserve it Mommy. You’re the best Mommy in the whole wide world and I am happy to have you in my life. I...I don’t know what I would do without you…” Lilly said before hiding her face in her Mom’s side. Ashley looked down reading the poem her daughter wrote her, before starting to cry uncontrollably. She looks down at her daughter before leaning down kissing her on top of her head, holding her tightly not letting her go. ”Sweetheart this is the greatest thing that I have ever gotten, you know that? I love you honey. Thank you so much. You never have to think about what you’ll do without me because you’ll always have me.” Ashley says, hugging her tightly again. ”I love this so much.” Lilly smiles and blushes before hugging her mother back, crawling and leaning up as she kisses her cheek. ”Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! I love you too!” Her cheery voice says, before they both look up hearing the doorbell ring. They both look up before looking at each other, confused as to who it might be at the door. ”Mommy whose that??” Lilly asks, before Ashley bites her lip honestly not knowing who it was. She looks at Lilly before shrugging her shoulders, looking at her. ”I honestly don’t know sweetie. Could be anyone haha” She sasys, before Lilly looks up with her face lighting up as she rolls out of bed jumping up and down next to the bed looking at Ashley. ”Mommy what if it’s Daddy?? It’s Mother’s Day maybe he’s surprising youuu!! I haven’t seen him in a long time Momma!” Lilly said, still jumping and clapping her hands. Ashley looked at her excited daughter and frowned, knowing she was talking about Blake Bridges, but also knew the probability of him being behind that door was slim to none. She looked at her daughter and sighed, before trying to sound hopeful for her. ”Sweetie we talked about how he couldn’t be here for everything-” Before she could finish, Lilly cut her off quickly. ”But Momma it is Mother’s Day! You never knowww!!! I’m gonna go find out!” She says jumping up and down, before running out of the room heading for the front door. ” Lilly! Wait up you little speed racer!” Ashley laughed as she tossed her covers to the side, holding her poem Lilly made her and got out of bed. She pulled her oversized t shirt down over her shorts, and stumbled as she walked out of the room feeling the room still spinning from the night before. ”Uhggg why the fuck did I drink so much…” She mumbles, covering her mouth fighting back the nausea she was feeling as she walked into the living room where the front door was near, seeing Lilly’s small frame. ”Baby who is it?” Ashley asked, rubbing her eyes as she walked into the room seeing three tall figures standing by the door as she walked into the room, Lilly standing in front of them looking up. ”Hey my dear sweet sister...Happy Mother’s Day! Me and Auntie Christine and her new husband Jerry wanted to come see Christine and Jerry’s daughter. It’s only right on Mother’s Day, no? Plus I told you I wanted to see my cousin, and you, so here I am. Well aren’t you going to welcome us in?” Ashley looked up speechless as she looked at her “sister” Nicole, Lilly’s birth mother Christine, and Christine’s new flavor of the week Jerry. Completely shocked and visibly pissed off, Ashley put her hand on Lilly’s shoulder, pulling her back towards her. ”Ashley, do not be so dramatic. I have every right to see my daughter on Mother’s Day. She’s mine and has been since the day she was born. Sweetie, Lilly darling come give your mother a hug.” Christine says to Lilly, before Lilly looks up at Ashley unsurely. Ashley doesn’t lighten her grip off Lilly feeling like a protective Momma bear, before Christine wastes no time in taking Lilly’s hand pulling her towards her for a tight hug. Lilly stumbles awkwardly into Christine, Ashley fully intending on pulling Lilly away before Nicole steps in front of her and shakes her head. ”You ruined that woman’s life by brainwashing her daughter and ripping her away from her. Something out of my book, but you did it. You let them have this moment, Lynn. You owe her that much. Just like you owe me a conversation. The conversation I’ve been trying to have with you for months now. I’m not leaving here until I get it and she’s not leaving here until she gets the proper amount of time on Mother’s Day with her child.” Nicole said glaring in Ashley’s eyes. As Ashley stood there in shock and feeling even more nauseous than before, she looked up at Christine and Jerry cooing after Lilly, and Lilly standing there looking uncomfortable. Ashley stood there in silence, watching what was supposed to be her first Mother’s Day immediately turn to shit at the hands of Nicole… TBC…. |
