Show Date & Time: May 16th, 2018 at 8PM EST on EVOLVE!
Location: Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Commentators: Cyncity, Eli Zayn

The Lights in the arena go out and pink spotlights appear at the top of the ramp. A series of guns being fired plays over the sound system as the pyro system shoots off blasts of white pyro and a smoke machine emits a fog that covers the stage completely. Wreak Havoc by Skylar Grey begins to play and as the lyrics begin, one Kenni Killswitch comes running out shooting two faux hand pistols in every direction in sync with the pyro. Killswitch Looks into the camera nearest to her and puts on a K-Woe Hit Squad Hat before running down to the ring. She Hops up onto the apron and runs back and forth from post to post before stepping through the ropes. The Hardcore princess nods and raises the Great Lakes Championship high above her head as she climbs the turnbuckle and her music fades out. The Hardcore princess switches the belt over to her left hand, then throws the strap over her shoulder. She grabs a mic and paces around the ring.. Once the noise dies down, Kenni Raises the microphone to her mouth and tells everyone that they need to shut their mouth.

The crowd boos the young girl who rolls her eyes in response. She tells the audience that they are lucky. That they should feel honored. Kenni Yells at the crowd telling them that she is one of the fastest rising Stars in wrestling. She tells the audience that she has been getting offers from tons of wrestling legends in tons of wrestling companies, to wrestle against them. She says that no other wrestler has ever had the overnight success that she has. She shakes her head and makes a clicking noise, asking the crowd if she just turned her back on them like all the other, RISE Pro stars before her. NO. She Continues to perform for these people. Continues to make the Great Lakes Championship mean something. And continues to put on amazing matches that only she can. She looks around, before stating that she didnt get to where she was by magic. By illusions. Or by cheap party tricks. She got to where she was by grinding. By working hard. By pushing herself forward while everyone else tried to push her back. She says that shes going to prove to The Magic Man and to everyone here tonight, WHY she deserves the Title of Great Lakes Champion, and Why CT should pack up and jump ship to The Underground, The Biggest Joke out of all the HKW Brands. Killswitch throws the Microphone Down and stretches as she waits for the match to begin.

MATCH ONE: HARDCORE MATCH
FOR THE RISE GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIP

CT Roessler vs Kenni Killswitch ©

The match began with Kenni and CT immediately trading punches as the audience were heavily behind CT as he took control early with a headlock takedown!

Roessler didn’t waste too much time in introducing the weapons, pulling out a chair in the 2nd minute and cracking Kenni over the back with it repeatedly! A minute later, he hit a hip toss onto the chair before attempting a pin and getting a two count! In the 4th minute, Roessler hit a snap suplex and went for the cover again, but picked up another two count!

Kenni took over a minute later, using the chair that was used against her on CT by catching him in the midsection then in the head! Killswitch kept on the attack in the 6th minute, she connected with a dropkick and covered Roessler again, but he kicked out at two! Around a minute following that, the Great Lakes champ pulled out barbed wire bat, but set it aside for later before she grabbed CT and put him in a chokehold! CT miraculously escaped eventually, but Kenni was right on him with a bicycle kick before she covered him and got a two count! In the 9th minute, Kenni grabbed a monitor off the announce table and hit CT in the skull before covering him again, pickin up another two count!

A minute later, CT took back over, hitting a running lariat before attempting the pin and getting the two count! Fireman’s carry slam onto a ladder followed in the 11th minute and Roessler covered, but only picked up a two count! Around a minute following that, he hit a German suplex before going for the pin once more and capturing another two count! In the 13th minute, CT drove Kenni onto the ladder with a Samoan Driver and covered her once more, but she powered out at two! Roessler then proceeded to perform Four Corners, attempting the pin right after and only managing to get a two count for his troubles!

The tide turned in the 15th minute as Kenni caught CT with a barbed wire bat to the right thigh as he stalked her! CT howled out in pain as he turned his back to Kenni and yanked the bat off of him, allowing her to shove him head first into the steel post! Roessler was busted open as Killswitch rolled him back into the ring and proceeded to hit Kennihawk once he staggered to his feet! She went for the cover and got the three count and the win!

Medics checked on them both as Kenni clutched the Great Lakes title close to her chest, laughing as she survived this match.

WINNER (and STILL champion): Kenni Killswitch (15:22)

“THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FUNDED BY THE JJ CROWNS BOARD OF ADVANCEMENT FOUNDATION.”

The lights in the arena all come on the Tron goes blank and a tapping of a microphone can be heard as JJ Crowns walks out from the back with Three objects in tow. A microphone, Steel Chair, With the words Chairwoman painted on it, and the Petition in support of the JJ Hour. The New York native Welcomes the audience and tells them that she appreciates their showing up for the first meeting of the JJCBOAF. Sliding into the ring chair-first, Crowns stands, Setting up the chair in the middle of the ring. Taking a seat, JJ Looks through the clipboard in her hand and flips all the way to the last page. She raises it up for everyone to see, Stating that she only had one Signature left to reach her goal of one thousand, and goes on to inform us that she saved the last spot tonight for someone special. Someone who embodies everything wrong with RISE today. Someone who stands for the old way of doing things. Someone who stands not for Rise and the future of everyone involved, but instead, For Herself, and everything she cares about. She doesnt care about, bigger lockeroom space. Her opponent tonight doesnt care about personalized training sessions to guarantee the best benefit for RISE Trainees. This person cares about dumb things, Like Pancakes, And Pizza. Aliens and Ghost.

She Lets Everyone know that the person she is referring to is none other than Ant Sands. JJ Says that from the very first day that the petition was presented, Ant has gone out of her way to work against Crowns, and every bit of forward progression she is trying to bring. Crowns even goes out of the way to suggest that Ant shouldnt be trusted to help RISE in their fight against Underground. Telling the audience that She doesnt care about RISE Like JJ does. “Da Biz” goes on to say that All the sabotaging Ant has been doing in the last few months doesnt matter. That everything Ant has done to stop the JJ Hour from coming to fruition was a wasted attempt. Jaylen stands up and grabs the chair that she was sitting in. using it now to point towards the ramp. The Heiress states that once she knock Ant out, once the referee counts the one two three, once she shows Sands that SHE is the one leading the new generation of RISE Stars, Shes going to go to the timekeepers area, grab her petition and a pen, and FORCE Ant to sign it herself. She drops the mic grabs her chair and slides out the ring handing the petition to the Timekeeper for safekeeping.

MATCH TWO: CHAIRS MATCH
Antoinette Sands vs JJ Crowns

Ant shot out of her corner firing on all cylinders to start things off, turning this match into an all out brawl.

In the 2nd minute, Ant hit a swinging neckbreaker and attempted the pin, but only got a two count! A minute later, she hit a missile dropkick and went for the cover, but only got a two count!

In the 6th minute, she hit a hangman neckbreaker onto a chair and attempted another pin, but only got a two count! Cameras arrived backstage where Lo and Si Savea were seen sitting on an equipment crate with their focus straight ahead of them. As the camera panned back, it began to reveal another man standing against the wall; that man being Jason Jackson.

The live audience cheered at the sight of the Defiance superstar as he turned the cap back onto his Mountain Frost Gatorade and tucked it underneath his armpit.

“Ya’ll really gonna bring me all the way here to watch you two compete and win gold tonight but you’re gonna give me the silent treatment the whole time? Ain’t that some shit.” Jason stated.

Si was the first to look up at his uncle, Lo keeping the same death glare plastered on his from the moment the cameras arrived. Jason let out a sigh as Si brought his focus back to the blank wall, and he flung the Gatorade bottle down the hall without warning… something they were used to.

“Someone better speak to me… or this equipment crate is next. SPEAK.” Jase began, pausing to arch an eyebrow at them. “ So lemme guess… Ya’ll are in the zone. You’re gonna go out there and hurt them… et cetera et cetera. Right?”

Lo finally snapped out his trance, looked up at his uncle and simply stated: “I don’t know what happens out there, but you know what happens when someone try to hurt someone in our fam, b.”

Jason nodded and took a seat on the equipment case he’d threatened to throw down the hallway as he looked his nephews over. “Yeah. I know what happens Lo. I also know what happens when you let emotion take the driver’s wheel in one of the biggest moments of your career. The shit happened to me against Brandon Banks… and what happened?” He asked softly, shaking his head.

“I lost. That’s what happened. You need to keep a level head. Both of you.. Not just one, BOTH. You need to go out there thinking sharp and working as a team to pull this off. Let that rage go man, it’s only going to hold you back. I believe in you and I want to see you walk out of here as champions but this isn’t the indies anymore. You’re not going to win by brute strength. You need to outsmart your opponent and you need to leave the recklessness back here.”

Si nodded his head and looked directly at Jason, “I been tryin to tell him the same shit for two weeks. He don’t wanna listen for nothin’. Not even a Reptar Bar. He finally get some pussy and now he actin all brand new.” Si shook his head.

“You kiddin’ me right now?” Lo popped out of his seat, “This ain’t got nothin to do with pussy. It’s got everythin to do with me always being the one that got his ass kicked a little too much. Me bein’ the one who always bite off more than he could chew. Me bein’ the one that was defenseless and needed protection.”

Lo pulled his head off his head and brought it down to his side, taking back his seat and sliding his hand down his face.

“Now I know how ya’ll felt all them times. Now I know where I been fuckin’ up all this time and it took twent--”

Lo looked at Si and whispered “How old we is?” before he shrugged it off and continued.

“A whole buncha years for me to figure it out. How long before it goes back to that? Tonight? Right now that’s how you’re talkin’ to me, unc.” He looked directly at Jason before shifting his attention back to Si, “That’s how you been talkin to me, bro. Ya’ll over here worried about me when it’s my turn to be worried bout ya’ll. Trust me.”

Lo stood up and got himself into a position where he could stare at both Jason and Si.

“I got this.” He pointed at Si, “We got this.”

Jason pushed himself up to his feet and took two steps toward Lo to look him in the eyes. Reaching out, he let his hand fall on his nephew’s shoulder. “Bro. Defenseless? You’ve never been defenseless. You’re one of the toughest motherfuckers I know kid and that’s saying something coming from me. I believe in you… BOTH of you.”

He’d pause to pull Si in as well, putting an arm around both of their shoulders. “You two have everything it takes to be the best tag team in the world. You deserve to be champions. None of us had it easy growing up. ALL of us have a habit of biting off more than we can chew sometimes… but you’re NEVER defenseless. We have each other. We’re family.. And you both know if you need me… you call and I’m gonna be there. We all get our asses kicked sometimes uce but you just keep coming. That’s what this family is about, we don’t quit. You just have to stay focused… and don’t let trivial things cloud the big picture. You’ve got this. Both of you. As long as we stay together we can take on anyone in the world. You feel me?”

Lo went to speak up, but Si immediately brought his iPhone up to show both of his family members. “Daaaaaaaamn. Check this one out.”

Jason and Lo can’t help but glance at the picture, both of them slapping Si in chest afterward to get his attention.

“THIS AIN’T THE TIME FOR NUDES, UCE! DEFCON30 AIN’ OVER YET!”

“It was nice though.”

Jason said with a shrug before grabbing the phone out Si’s hand and telling both men to stop playing games and go win the RISE Tag Team titles right before the camera cut to another part of the arena.

In the back standing before the green RISE branded banner are Robin Carnegie and Alistair Hart, both ready in full gear for their match tonight against The Hills and the Sav Bros. Robin steps just a little forward, her hands up as she gestures around. She says that things have been unstable in RISE, and she wonders idly if that’s because another set of former tag team champions the Daughters of Janus have laid a curse on this place. She says that the witches seem to never be too far no matter how security is, and that every place they go be it Texas for Twin City, or the Underground shows where their loup garou manager Bobby Barabbas rules as GM, or that other place that the unholy git that married Athena flops about in, they are trouble. They cost people matches, they prey on the innocent and they act like there are no consequences to their actions.

Alistair leans forward, his voice firm and commanding as he states that they are wrong. That Witch Hunter Robin will always protect the innocent from them and any other of their ilk that tries to harm them. But right now, tonight, they aren’t worried about Athena and Minerva. Tonight, two other teams are standing in their way, two teams that will do everything they can to prevent WHR from regaining the RISE Tag Team Championships once again. Robin says then that the name of the show, RISE and Shine tells you everything that you should know, that the oppressed and disparaged will rise up and have their day. That no longer will the innocents have to fear, no matter what. She says that The Hills have been terrible champions who exist only to gratify Trent’s desire for glory. That Goliath does all the work but is under some sort of spell, she reckons, that leads him to be under Trent’s control.

The Sav Bros are worse. Untried, untested, loyal perhaps only to each other they came in all piss and vinegar, the quintessential stupid rookies who are ...she pauses as Alistair supplies that they are young, dumb, and full of ...he snickers, stating that everyone knows the rest of that. He says that he can’t blame them for wanting to make a name for themselves. Everyone wants a chance to shine, right? But coming in as ignorant as they did, spitting out that they were better than any team ever, the usual generic ball flexing impressed no one. He says that if they ever got serious, they might actually be a threat, but that he and Robin can handily out-wrestle them, and well Goliath sort of does a California style Hulk Smash that they’re not going to be able to avoid. This is an elimination style tag match on top of that, and what are Lo and Si going to do when one of them is gone? They are far too codependent on the other and if one goes the other will fall.

Robin nods, stating that really their strategy tonight is clear. Remove the biggest threat. Outsmart Trent, and divide and conquer the Sav Bros… to regain their RISE Tag Team Championships. The pair turn and walk away after this, heading out towards the ringside area.

MATCH FIVE: TRIPLE THREAT TAG ELIMINATION MATCH
FOR THE RISE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Sav Bros vs The Hills © vs Witch Hunter Robin

The match started with Lo, Goliath, and Alistair. The three men all traded blows before Goliath took completely over with a double clothesline to them both!

Goliath hit a discus lariat on Lo in the 2nd minute and went for the cover, but only got a two count! A minute later, he hit a piledriver on Alistair and covered him, but he kicked out at two as well! In the 4th minute, Goliath hit a spinebuster on Lo and covered him again, but only got a two count! Around a minute following that, Goliath hit a powerslam on Alistair and covered him, but only got a two count! The monster then hit a gorilla press drop on Lo in the 6th minute before covering him again and picking up yet another two count!

A minute after that, Trent saw Si come after him and quickly ran away as Goliath watched this with a scowl and the ref screamed at them both to get back in their corners. This gave Lo enough time to catch Goliath with a low blow while the ref wasn’t looking and for Alistair to roll him up just as the ref turned around, getting the three count!

ELIMINATED: The Hills (7:52)

Lo then tagged out to Si as Trent began throwing a tantrum on the outside while Alistair tagged in Robin. Robin quickly took advantage with a drop toe hold and an elbow drop to the back, covering him afterwards for the two count!

In the 10th minute, Robin hit a leg drop and attempted another pin, but Si kicked out at two! Alistair was then tagged in a minute later and the two of them hit running mafia kicks before Hart went for the cover and got a two count! Hart then hit a snap German suplex in the 12th minute, though the pin attempt only got him a two count!

The match took a turn a minute later though as Lo performed a blind tag as Si was irish whipped into the ropes! Si dodged a clothesline from Alistair and proceeded to spear Robin off the apron, taking them both out! Lo then caught Alistair with a superkick to the back of the head, dropping him to the mat long enough for Lo to get the three count and the win!

Si quickly joined his brother in the ring after the match ended and the first (and possibly only) title change ended with the two snatching their titles out of the ref’s hands and raising their titles high to boos.

WINNER (and NEW champions): The Sav Bros (13:05)

MAIN EVENT: 30 MINUTE IRONMAN MATCH
FOR THE RISE CHAMPIONSHIP

Cedric Chambers vs Gio Amauri ©

The bell rang and Gio was right on Cedric, absolutely battering him with punches! It was literally all Gio in the first two minutes, culminating in Gio hitting a chicken wing facebuster before going for the cover and getting a three count!

Cedric Chambers: 0
Gio Amauri: 1
2:28

But Gio wasn’t done there as he continued on the attack once Cedric was back up to his feet, hitting a belly to belly suplex! In the 4th minute, he connected with an elbow drop and went for the cover, but only got a two count! A minute later, he hit a snapmare driver and covered him again, but only got another two count!

Gio then hit a vertical suplex side slam in the 6th minute before covering his opponent again and picked up a three count and the 2nd fall in this match!

Cedric Chambers: 0
Gio Amauri: 2
6:43

Cedric was trying to call a timeout in the 7th minute, but Gio seemed to have absolutely no mercy for his challenger, who had constantly been a thorn in his side. After smacking him around some more, Amauri hit another vertical suplex side slam in the 10th minute and got the three count, going up 3-0!

Cedric Chambers: 0
Gio Amauri: 3
10:53

The match continued to be as one sided as it possibly could, with Gio absolutely laying into Cedric, who at one point was begging the ref for a timeout! Eventually, in the 15th minute, Cedric rolled out of the ring and stated that he “quit”.

The ref confused by this before he called the match, awarding Gio the squash victory as the audience popped massively for Gio. Amauri was handed back his title as the ref then went to check on Cedric, who the RISE champion hadn’t taken his eyes off. Gio then turned to the nearest camera and said “see you June 1st” before he left the ring.

Tonight, Gio Amauri had crushed Cedric once more, but he had also proven something else as the show came to a close soon after.

That he was ready for war against the Underground on June 1st.

And that he would be coming at them with everything in his arsenal.

WINNER (and STILL champion): Gio Amauri (3-0; 15:20)
