Game: Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue. Due to higher level captures early on like LEVEL 9 PIDGEOTTO, Yellow is banned.![]() Challenge: On a new game, get as high a collective level of party pokemon as you can within 55 turns of battle without blacking out. Successfully running away from a wild pokemon doesn't count as a turn. Conditions: You must start with Charmander, as Squirtle and Bulbasaur are capable of sweeping Brock's Onix in one turn for an easy advantage. Second, you are only premitted to heal your pokemon through use of potions. No healing at Pallet Town and no entering a Pokemon Center. Wanted Number: Add up your party pokemon's levels. That's your score. In case of a tie-breaker, post the EXP of your six pokemon from lowest to highest. The one with the highest EXP on their lowest leveled pokemon wins the tie-break. If that's a tie, the next one is considered and so on. Final day of challenge: Sunday the 12th of August, 2012. ...honestly, I haven't tried this myself. But it sounds interesting to do, so let's do it. lol Edited by Chonic the Chadgehog, Aug 6 2012, 12:58 PM.

Odds of catching five pokemon in a row in one go each is 0.41%, assuming you go for the easiest ones. Like 'dem odds.

An improvement, but I'll go again tomorrow. Also someone else do this! Combined level : 39 EXP : 225/225/237/265/345/355 Potentially relevant : The 237 EXP one may be considered between the 265 EXP and 345 EXP ones because of level. |

Level doesn't matter in the tie-breaker. I am doing it, BTW. Waiting for a happy run, though. |

What are the odds of capturing 4 in a row in one go each? Or getting 9 critical hits just when you need them, like Pidget vs a Hardened Kakuna? If only the second Kakuna had gone in on the first go instead of the second... Combined Level = 45 EXP Total = 216(Kakuna No1),216(Kakuna No2),230(Kakuna No3),421(Pidgey),520(Pikachu),596(Charmander) Will give this another go tomorrow, but I'm happy with this score. Oh, I have no money left on that file. Potions all got used and I needed more pokeballs to get the final Kakuna for my party. |

Given that two of them are Kakunas, one in 367. And this Cloud is the unbeatable luck bullshit I was on about .... Check last night on the chat. You can watch me agonise over four hours calculating an optimal strategy. And I think it's just gone to waste ... |
