Camp Half-Blood is a roleplay with different types of combat. The current type of roleplay is currently set at emote, but can be switched to desc/spam if all parties in the fight, confrontation, etc. agree upon it. This restricts people from randomly attacking others, due to a need for an agreement. This also means that those who do not want to emote can duel in their own methods. Note: Emote roleplay is classically based on the rankings of others. While this still holds partially true, this is a Mythical roleplay where the possibilities are practically endless for what can happen. A newly trained demigod can take out a seasoned demigod if they know what they're doing. Do not take your rank and abilities for granted: you're still vulnerable.

Word minimums are placed to keep a standard of roleplaying within the CHB community. For all combat orientated actions, lines must be 7+ words, where non-combat actions may be limited to 4+ instead.

Metagaming and Godmoding are considered taboos in most roleplays, and there's no difference here, Metagaming and Godmodding will be dealt with swiftly and without remorse. Characters will be granted one warning, before being permanently killed off for repeated offenses. You may be a demigod, but you can still get hurt as much as a human. Do not take your status for granted.

Characters cannot be revived by any means, and any abilities that may have allowed this in the past, have been removed from the roleplay unless otherwise approved by an administrator before hand for either storyline purposes or otherwise. While some abilities can possibly save other people from death, it cannot revive them after death.

Realism is hard for something like Camp Half-Blood, but we want to keep the storyline and the roleplaying to as much "realism" as possible for a setting such as this.

This isn't GTA, nobody will be walking around with AK-47's or a Barrett .50 Cal. You are limited to meelee weapons provided to you in the camp such as swords, shields, bows & arrows, knives, daggers, and the like. If you attempt to bring in guns or other weapons like that into the camp, they will be taken away from you by camp counselors.

Camp Half-Blood is set in 2017. Society doesn't know about demigods, titans, satyrs, your godly parents existing, giant beasts, etc. They are completely oblivious to these things, and most people want to keep it that way (with minor exceptions).

CHB is not about combat, it's about character immersion, how your character would go about completing their personal goals in a world that doesn't know about them. Demigods don't just leave the camp, walk out onto the streets of New York, and start hitting people with thunderbolts. Demigods wouldn't film themselves using pyrokinesis and then upload it to the internet. Combat is a LAST RESORT. Alliances are supposed to be made in the camp between everyone, to fight against a common enemy; the beasts and other horrifying creatures that threaten to enter the camp. Training for combat is common sense, but going around and trying to fight every single camper is idiotic.

When it comes to lore-based items, there are standards for what should be roleplayed and what should be controlled. Even though this is a fantasy roleplay, nothing happens in a complete instant and must be worked for.

Ambrosia: The use of ambrosia, the healing substance for demigods that can come in liquid or chew form, is of course very common in this roleplay. However, this healing substance does not work in an instant, it simply speeds up the healing process. You are expected to still rest and recover like a human, along with the help of ambrosia.

**Since this has become an issue in several roleplays, this will be brought up as well.**

So, rape has become an issue. Rape of a character must be accepted by BOTH PARTIES prior, some people may or may not use this to progress a characters storyline, but like I said, MUST be agreed upon by both parties to be considered valid. If a person does not want to scene this with you, then you are not allowed to force it IC'ly. Rape is a sensitive subject with certain people and you have NO right to be angry if people don't want to roleplay it with you. Be aware that due to the way this camp is run, and how old demigods are, if you are caught doing this, there will be VERY SEVERE punishment for those committing it. Threatening rape in or out of character is unacceptable, and will be met with punishment.

Currently, two characters are allowed in the roleplay. These characters are not allowed to benefit each other in any way, shape, or form. Characters are allowed two non-passive abilities, and all passive abilities. If you apply for a rare ability and get accepted, you must remove one non-passive ability to make room for your rare ability. Getting a rare ability does not make it a third one. Both characters are not allowed to be Big Three at the same time. One character can be Big Three, while the other has to be a child of a Regular or Lesser god. This is to allow more people to be in the Big Three, since spots are limited. All members of the camp must wear orange somewhere within their clothing, as it is part of the uniform. To learn more about the camp and what you can do with your abilities, check out the Getting Started page.

With a lot of beasts and animals within this universe, we've decided to lay down some ground rules on which species you are allowed to roleplay. Here are the current species you are allowed to roleplay:

  • Demigods - The term demigod or demi-god can refer to a minor deity, a mortal or immortal who is the offspring of a god and a human being, or a figure who has attained divine status after death. Demigods in this roleplay are humans with one human parent, and one Godly Parent. Your abilities depend on who your Godly Parent is.

  • Satyrs - In Greek mythology, a satyr is one of a troop of ithyphallic male companions of Dionysus with human and goat-like features. Early artistic representations sometimes include horse-like legs, but in 6th-century BC black-figure pottery human legs are the most common. Satyrs in the roleplay do not have any abilities, and wear normal human clothing.

  • Nymphs - A nymph in Greek mythology and in Latin mythology is a minor female nature deity typically associated with a particular location or landform. Different from other goddesses, nymphs are generally regarded as divine spirits who animate nature, and are usually depicted as beautiful, young nubile maidens who love to dance and sing; their amorous freedom sets them apart from the restricted and chaste wives and daughters of the Greek polis. If you are a nymph, you will lose your nymph abilities and only have the abilities given to you by your Godly Parent.

In very special cases and pertaining to storylines, some other species have been allowed. This is a very special case. While some people claim this is some sort of bias, we are trying to expand the storyline more and add depth to the roleplay. Most people we accept for random characters are people we barely know. Please don't be upset if your special race is not accepted, some things just can't be allowed in the roleplay.

The definition of bullying according to Merriam-Webster:

bullying - abuse and mistreatment of someone vulnerable by someone stronger, more powerful, etc. : the actions and behavior of a bully

Bullying another member or user, on these forums or on client, is not acceptable. All users have a right to be in this roleplay, and we as a staff team welcome all people, regardless of gender, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, roleplay experience, disabilities, etc. Purposely attempting to cause harm or pain to another user will result in swift punishment by the staff team, and multiple infractions will be met with a ban.

This also includes, but not limited to:
  • attempting to DDoS another user
  • giving out personal information or of another user, such as IP address, home address, phone number
  • calling on multiple people to harass a user
  • sharing a user's account information and/or password (which is against Habboon Rules)
  • sharing pictures of a user without their consent

With this roleplay planning more storyline scenes to engage users, we would like to lay out some ground rules on what to do and how to behave during one. We attempted some issues with them in previous roleplays and would like to make things more streamlined this time around.

  • Please refrain from excessive OOC text during a storyline scene. A lot happens during them and there is lots of text everywhere. Please keep OOC conversations either over whisper, client PM, or on another communication service.

  • Refrain from using colored text bubbles unless staff specify that you do. Staff or hosts of a scene often try to use colored bubbles so people can see what's going on without being confused. During events like capture the flag, it is advised to change your bubble to the color of your team, whether that team is blue or red. In other times, please try to use the plain default bubbles.

  • In certain storylines where scenes can happen at random, please refrain from starting a massive scene without asking permission from a staff member first. In some stories, the smallest details can change things on a massive scale. Once you have spoken to a staff member and got their verbal permission from you, then you may begin a storyline scene. This is to prevent confusion, arguing, and helps the roleplay in the long run.

Due to cabins often filling up quickly and people fighting for a spot, we have revived the old inactivity rule to help give other roleplayers chances to join their desired cabin. Those who who are not active in the roleplay for 4 OOC days straight [unless specified that they are leaving for something, such as vacation, family matter, etc.], their character will be moved to Restoration and any Rare Abilities will be cleared from them to be given to another character.

This rule post is subject to random updates, depending on what happens within the roleplay and what prompts a rule addition or rule change. It is the responsibility of users to stay updated on rules when they change. Failure to follow rules will result in punishment by staff.
