Hey y'all, how you doin? It's Mack here. Just gonna give you a run down of what's going on with this roleplay cause I know some are confused. I also wanted to clear up some stuff because I feel like sometimes things can be vague with Gods/Goddesses and their abilities. Adam still owns this roleplay and is the root admin on these forums. He is currently dealing with a lot of stuff irl with family and his health and has decided to leave the roleplay in my hands until further notice. Irl stuff comes first before anything else, especially with family. I have posted a list of who is our current staff, click here for that page. If you need something, don't contact Adam about it, as he wants to be left alone on roleplay stuff at the moment. He will occasionally get on to do some moderating and things like that, but if something is needed, try to contact myself or one of our current mods or trial mods. Also, you don't always need to come to me for help, the mods and trial mods are very happy to help you and are experienced with this roleplay. If there's something that needs an admin decision, they'll ask me for my input. So don't be shy to ask the other staff members. I do want to give a small apology to anyone that I've been snappy with, mostly yesterday and any day before that. I was going through a bit of stress myself (as I've just gotten a new job and I'm currently doing training) and I should not have taken it out on anyone in this roleplay. I know people are just wondering when stuff will be done, etc etc. Please try not to take it personally, I don't intend to hurt people's feelings, I've really never been that way. I will definitely not be that way again. About quests, we will be preparing them to happen some time this weekend (not Friday, as I will not be around until very late evening, but some time on Saturday or Sunday), so that Guardians and Counselors can be introduced and we can start having some type of authority figures wandering around this roleplay (because let's be honest, we need it). Quest groups are multiple cabins, not related by any means. We will have to do one group at a time and make sure they have a fair chance and doing their scene. Once that is done, Heads of Cabins will be voted in during a feast (I currently don't have a date planned for that yet, but when I do, I will make a post and a calendar event about it). Heads of Cabins are voted in by their other cabin mates. For certain cabins that have like less than 4 people, Guardians and Counselors will help make that vote for the cabin. Head of Cabin isn't a super big responsibility so don't act like it's stressful or anything. I do want to say that you do need to listen to your Cabin Head, as they are an authority figure over you and help guide you and the rest of your cabin. As for a storyline, I have a vague plot planned out that I'll be attempting to work into the roleplay, I just want to iron out the details to make sure everything is perfect. This will begin happening once authority figures are set in and quests are fully done. If you have any suggestions on storyline stuff or events, do not hesitate to private message me or one of the staff members. Once quests and authority is set in, we will also be starting classes for the Progression System (basically how you get up to Sophomore and so on). I will be teaching First Aid once I get a definite work schedule. Check out the Progression Sheets section of the forums to learn more about this if you haven't already. If you wish to teach a class, check out the subjects on the Teacher Roster and send me a forum PM. Teachers are not given much authority, all you do is teach, and these class scenes will most likely be monitored by a staff member to ensure you're teaching properly and include all the important information. I've been given a few complaints from people that people aren't seeming to take Ares and Athena kids very seriously, and I would just like to explain something. These cabins are the best fighter cabins in this roleplay, and if you're going to roleplay with them, you need to be realistic. Ares and Athena are highly likely to have victory in battles, yes not all battles because some kids are just more lucky, but most of the time, they will win. People that are sparring with Ares/Athena are leaving without a scratch but the Ares/Athena kids are practically destroyed, and that makes absolutely no sense. Yes the Ares/Athena can take some hits, but they are highly more likely to beat you in battle. Please try to be more realistic, on the CHB standards that is, when you roleplay. Everyone is starting out as a Freshman. As a Freshman status, your character is weak, and you're supposed to roleplay it that way. This applies to everyone and their abilities as well, as I've had a few complaints about Hypnos kids not roleplaying their abilities properly, which I know previously they were a bit vague, but I have fixed it to give it a less vague appearance. This also applies to creations in the creations section, Hephaestus kids that are only Freshman should not be able to produce super dynamic and complex machinery until they are higher up in their progression. Hephaestus kids may be born with smarts on blacksmithing and tech, but it only goes so far when you are at Freshman level. This has been an issue multiple times in every CHB we run, so don't think I'm pointing out just people in this roleplay. This is a common occurrence, so this is just a reminder. All abilities have been redone (as I know of), so everyone can start editing their bios to the newer updates. Once you have finished editing, your bio will be sorted into the proper category (Bigger, Regular, Lesser) and the update reminder will be removed from your spot on the Cabin Roster. Before I add any more deities (which I don't plan on adding more for a while), I want cabins to start filling up more because there's some that have barely any members and some are completely empty. Try and hold off on making a second character if you haven't yet, so more people have a chance to try and roleplay what they want to be. I can't think of anything else to add, so I'll just wrap things up here. I want to give a thanks to everyone who has been patient as this roleplay transitions and continues on, I know things have been a bit slow but we're trying to speed stuff back up and add more activities for people to participate in. I also want to give a mega thank you and big hug to all of the staff members, and the people who are currently trial mods. You've helped me a lot through this transition and I'm excited to see what comes next. This ended super gayly, but hey, everyone loves a little gay. Anyways, that's all I got for now. Stay classy.
