Tojjevvuk the Wookiee Bounty Hunter:
(Played By Chad)

Background:
Although Tojjevvuk was born on Kashyyyk, he never knew first hand the slavery that the Empire forced upon the Wookiees during that time. While Tojjevvuk was still a baby, his father was able to get his son and wife off planet with the help of some smugglers who were working for the Empire at the time. He sent his bowcaster with his wife to use as a means of protection, and she would eventually hand it off to Tojjevvuk when he came of age. The two first lived on Ord Mantell for a time, but eventually settled on Corellia. His father was able to support them for a few years, but the stream of credits ceased expectantly. It is still not known by Tojjevvuk whether this is because he no longer has any credits to send, is unable to send them, or because he was killed.
Tojjevvuk spent most of his childhood playing with gadgets and discarded junk he would find on the ground. The bowcaster his father had given him went largely unused. He would sometimes go to alleys to shoot it at trash, but didn’t like to because of the outrageous amount of noise it produced. In his teens, he began working as a mechanic for a local speeder shop. His mom would get an odd job or two, but most of their income came from him. They lived a meager existence, as they were shunned by most of the underworld on Corellia for being outsiders, as no one wanted to be labeled a Wookiee sympathizer, or just accidentally get on their bad side. The two did not find other Wookiees to socialize with very often, as they were afraid that they would be arrested if they congregated together for too long. This continued for many years, until around his very early twenties when he had his first encounter with a bounty hunter.
While making his way home from work, he bore witness to the mugging and muder of an elderly human couple by a Rodian. Tojjevvuk then followed the alien for some time around Corellia’s underbelly, although he wasn’t armed and didn’t know what he could or should do. When the Rodian arrived at his apparent hide out, he went inside, and Tojjevvuk stayed at a safe distance away begind a trash compactor weighing his options. He did not want the alien to go unpunished. Without warning, he noticed a small, floating droid descend to the entrance of the hide-out, hesitated for a few moments, then flew directly at him, hesitated again, then quickly zipped away. Before too long, a man in worn, patched armor flew onto the scene using a jetpack. He looked toward where Tojjevvuk had thought he had been hiding, just for a moment, and then turned around. He kicked the door in then opened fire immediately, then walked calmly inside. He returned outside shortly after, dragging the groaning Rodian behind him. He slapped some manacles on the Rodian’s wrists, then flew off, although the jetpack seemed to be straining under the extra weight.
Excited that the murderer had come to justice, he returned home and told his mother what happened; and she nearly tore his head from his shoulders with a paw swipe, and explained that bounty hunters can take Wookiees back to any Imperial authority for a handful of credits. She also explained that he had not captured the Rodian out of any pursuit of justice, but that the Rodian probably had a bounty on his head for weeks. Bounty Hunters were not to be trusted, not the least of which because many Trandoshans made good livings hunting down Wookiees. Still, the Rodian had come to justice, and that planted the seed in Tojjevvuk’s mind.
He spent the next few years pursuing a career as a Hunter while continuing his work as a mechanic. He eventually learned that bounty hunters do not (usually) hunt each other, and saw this as a boon to both himself and his mother. This way, neither could be captured off the streets by a bounty hunter, at least. He took up using his bowcaster again, and started putting his mechanical skills to other uses, repurposing both in the pursuit and capture of villians. While Tojjevvuk now has his own independent bounty hunting team, he had been under the employ of a particularly good natured Hutt on Nar Shadda named Sinasu. It was during this time he had met Cash, a smuggler who had been his mark for smuggling spice that was owned by the Hutt. When it came to light that Cash was also smuggling Wookiees off of Kashyyyk, Tojjevvuk was able to work out a deal with the Hutt that saved Cash’s life. They both now owe a substantial sum to the Hutt, but it kept Cash alive and Tojjevvuk’s reputation as a bounty hunter intact. Although he occasionally has to do a job that he does not agree with, Tojjevvuk is convinced that he can make a difference in the galaxy by pursuing and apprehending villians.

Obligations:
Debt to Sinasu the Hutt(10): A debt shared with Cash, the two owe the Hutt 5 times the cost of the spice that Cash had stolen and was smuggling off of Kashyyyk, along with a handful of Wookiees. While Sinasu is patient, he sometimes becomes impatient.

Family (5): Tojjevvuk’s mother never accepted the fact that her son became a bounty hunter. She is still furious at him for it, but with the money earned from hunting, he was eventually able to relocate his mother to the forest moon of Endor. He had encountered the place during a particularly remote hunt, and learned from a few other Hunters that the moon is used occasionally has a sanctuary for Wookiees. They and the native Ewoks seem to have an understanding. While their relationship is strained, she calls on him when she needs help.

Motivations:
Fame and Justice. Tojjevvuk’s reasons for being a bounty hunter are twofold. He wants to bring as many criminals down as possible, while also proving that you can do so without killing and maiming the target. He also wants to become widely known on the Outer Rim as a bounty hunter who will always get the job done, if he chooses to accept it. Being known as one of the greatest Hunters to have lived, while being honorable doing it, is his biggest dream.

Cash Kraken the Human Smuggler:
(Played By Adam)

Background:
Born the son of a senator from Mandalore and a Republic admiral, Cash saw vast differences in viewpoints from each parent. His mother was a staunch supporter of the new mandalorian way of life, embracing pacifism at all costs. His father, on the other hand, saw the necessity for war and gained numerous accolades for accommodating that necessity. When the Deathwatch gained control of Mandalore his mother was forced to flee the planet and seek refuge on Coruscant. With the fall of the Republic, Cash’s father endorsed the newly formed Galactic Empire and was issued the task of bringing other systems to heel. When his fleet attacked the Deathwatch controlled Mandalore, his wife left him and Coruscant taking their son with her.

Cash spent most of his youth drifting around the core worlds with his mother and the handful of servants that accompanied her. As finances shrank and the grip of the Empire grew, the family was slowly forced outward, ending up in the Outer Rim. It was not long before the danger of the less lawful planets made itself apparent. Cash’s mother was murdered in a robbery before her teenage son’s eyes. She lived and died by her pacifist code, refusing to fight back.

The young Cash wandered the Outer Rim, hitching rides or stowing away on cargo ships, always staying on the move. He was 16 years old when he learned that his father’s fleet had been destroyed and his father killed by the newly formed Rebel Alliance. He spent the remaining years of his youth in and out of street gangs while plying his trade as a petty thief.

In his early twenties, his life changed. Cash had advanced to smuggling and was bringing a shipment of spice to a group of corporate workers on Kashyyyk when he saw the plight of its indigenous people, the wookiees. While he could not do a thing to alleviate their suffering, he did manage to smuggle a few of the wookiees off world. In transit back he was tracked and captured by the bounty hunter Tojjevvuk. When the bounty hunter learned that Cash was smuggling wookiees he decided not to turn him in. The two have worked together on many daring and reckless endeavors since that day.

Motivation:
Freedom. Cash believes in nothing else. Cash has seen the folly of beliefs and codes of conduct. He has seen unarmed pacifists die, doing nothing to prevent it. He has seen governments rise and fall, but has yet to see any real change come of it. Republic or Empire is the same faceless and blind set of restrictions to him. He refuses to be shackled with ideals or convictions. The only thing that matters to the smuggler is being free to do as he pleases, and hopefully find his fortune amongst the stars.

Obligations:
Debt to Sinasu the Hutt (10): When captured by Tojjevvuk, the honorable wookiee did not simply let the smuggler go free. He was taken before Sinasu the Hutt, from who he had stolen the spice he was smuggling. While stealing from a Hutt is usually a death sentence, Tojjevvuk vouched for the smuggler and the two convinced the hutt that Cash would be more useful alive. His life for 5 times the cost of the stolen spice. A hefty price to pay, but Cash sees it as better than being dead.

Favor to Nara Daklan(5): In his attempt to smuggle wookiees off of Kashyyyk, Cash had his stolen ship searched. While the wookiees were never detected, the fact that the ship was stolen was discovered by a young Imperial spy by the name of Nara Daklan. Charm made the situation safe for the young smuggler and the two have remained in contact. Cash promised the young woman to repay her turning a blind eye to the smuggling in whatever way he could.
