MS Paint Adventures Homestuck itself could be defined as a webcomic, but it constantly changes from static images, GIFs, and full blown flash animations (Which are consistently AWESOME.) If you try to read it, be prepared, you may wind up sitting here until the next evening without even noticing it. It's LONG. And a word of advice, DON'T SKIP a THING. The plot's already confusing enough (to most people, I don't really seem to have much trouble, now that I've got my bearings.), skipping things just makes it harder. It DOES start out slow, but once you get through Act 1, things start picking up really fast. (Probably just gonna get murdered by Choco for even posting about it.) Story starts out about 4 kids who start to play a beta of the hottest new PC game on the block, Sburb, sort of like a Sim's-type game, except it allows them to manipulate the world itself. Seems (somewhat) harmless fun, at first. Then....the meteors start hitting earth, a large one in particular heading torwards one of the kids' house. Shenanigans ensues, and the kids start entering the TRUE part of the game (their houses in tow, a meteor crater left behind where the houses once stood.), where they're tasked with defeating the Dark Kingdom after the Light Kingdom falls, and then claim their Ultimate Reward. After a while, things go to absolute shit. Now the kids, and an another band of kids, of alien origin, set out on trying to fix everything as best they can. (That's a pretty rough, and very light touch/summary of the plot.) It tends to alternate between serious and funny, to the point it's absolutely ridiculous. |

This thing blew my mind more times than I can remember lmao. I started it two summers ago and couldn't stop for at least a week, but I still didn't manage to catch up to the newest page. Then I kinda forgot about it, but i still have a sticky note on my computer with the URL of the page that im on haha. Thing is though, I'd advise reading the other mspaint adventures in order to understand all of the jokes, and it definitely makes it much more enjoyable. Plus I mean they're all funny, so it's not a burden. Problem sleuth was epic, but the guy that makes these ripped epic a new asshole with homestuck. I'm gonna need to continue it at some point. Is it still going? |

Oooh yes. Where did you stop? Because it's in Act 6 now (If you can read up until the end of Act 5, you're in for one hell of a treat. The EOA5 flash [ S ] Cascade, is probably the most amazing flash animation on the internet. Edited by Spark, Dec 3 2011, 01:34 AM.

Act 5, Part 1. You got about 300 or so more pages, plus a flash animation before you hit Act, Part 2, then you're gonna have to read/watch all of that. Heads up about that, Act 5 part 2 is long. REALLY long. Like almost 2200 pages long. It's really worth it to get to the end of Act 5. Everything is starting to make a bit more sense now, but for every question that's answered, there's like a hundred more questions given, and possibly a bunch of Chekhov's Guns to go along with that. DoC Scratch/White Text Guy is and excellent host, after all. Edited by Spark, Dec 3 2011, 01:39 AM.

I misspoke, there's a little under 1500 pages in Act 5/2. the 2200 came up from the combined total of Hivebent and Act5/2. It's more like 2119 for the combined, and 1483 for Act 5/2. And there's a good bit of flash animations, and a majority of those pages are without Pesterlogs, even if it doesn't seem like that nearing the end. I reread through Act 5/2 last night in about 4 1/2 hours, pesterlogs and all (minus the walkaround games.) It can be done. (to people already reading up till the current point.) Spoiler: click to toggle

Pace yourself. You can easily cover 100 pages in an hour, 150 even, if you're blasting through. |
