Shadow: I used this name whenever I saved high scores on the internet when I was little.
I stopped using it as soon as I realized how high in demand the name was, which was how I got the name . . .

HuyGuy: Once, I was trying to play this online game with my brother.
I don't remember the name of the game, but I remember that you build and fight robots*, and that the username "Shadow" was taken. So then I just hit random keys until a bunch of letters were in the box, then I realized it looked like "Huygens"†, so I shaved off a few letters, and then modified it to say "HuyGuy". I kept the name for at least 3 years until . . .

Mr. Nile: I just took my middle name and slapped on a "Mr.", and used it only briefly before . . .

Mystyr Nile: I wanted to try out this new fangled website called "Facebook", so I just kept with the name "Mr. Nile". Turned out Facebook didn't like that name for some reason, so I tried removing the period. No luck. I try replacing "Mr" with "Mister", still nothing. Then I thought I'd just replace the vowels with "y"s, and then it let me in. That happened in '07 or '08, and I've been using that name since.

*They looked like real life: wheeled rectangles with rams/flamethrowers/etc., not like silly giant humanoids with rams/flamethrowers/etc., because that would be unrealistic.
†I admired Christiaan Huygens.

Waaaay back when I got Xbox Live in 05, my dad surprised me with it (thus he made my account) and well. It gave away my first name and zip code. >_>

SO when I heard of the 360 being able to change your name for the small fee I needed something to change it to. Now, I lacked lack creativity, so I asked Araden for a cool name I could change it to. He named off about 50, ChocolateDog was one of them and I liked it. As for the misspelling, when I originally signed up on Halosprites my 11 year old ass didn't know how to spell check and it came out like "ChocalateDog." A year and a half alter when I actually got the points to change my XBL Gamertag, ChocalateDog had stuck, so that's what I sign up on everything with.

It makes people think I can't spell and that I'm black...

I ran through the fields of rye, naked. The bristles of nature's baby bread brushed my bare body. Tickled my skin. I was trying to escape the city of stars, you see, for the people who lived there did not want me to leave. I was on the outskirts of the city ever since the authorities caught me peeping under skirts.

They were chasing me, but their clothes weighed them down. I, who was not attached to any clothing, was much more agile. However, my large, horse-sized reproductive organ kept slapping my legs, which was quite irritating. That was my one weakness. But all was well, because when I thought of unappealing thoughts, it would shrink and crawl back inside my body like that of a dog's when it stands up.

I reached the end of the rye field, only to be looking over a cliff. The sun was rising, and when I turned around to face the city of stars, all their lights were engulfed with the sun's purity. It was breath taking. Unfortunately, the authorities and outraged citizens, who have chased me all night, finally caught up with my slick, naked self. I was surrounded. More surrounded than a white man in the Bronx. Which is pretty fucking surrounded.

I turned away from them. Showing them my bare back and god-given ass. I looked over the cliff at the sun. I knew that there must be something better. So I looked over my shoulder and spoke the words, "I know that this much is true." I gazed at the sun and jumped.

I was falling through the air. I stuck out my arms, forming a lower case T with my body. As I fell, the sun rose. It was truly beautiful. Before I was able to hit the ground, letting my bones shatter, I heard an angel sneak into my ear and into my mind. My brain then pumped out the words Mooface5.

Nile: I know EXACTLY what game you're talking about, wasn't it on miniclip? I don't remember the name either though. Probably something simple like "robot wars" or something.

Choco: "It makes people think I can't spell and that I'm black... " LMAO

Moo: Your post deserves the "Post of the Year" award. If we had one. No seriously, I'm speechless as to how beautiful that was hahaha

I just checked out Miniclip's website, and the only game with the word "robot" in it is fighting humanoids, so no.
I think it was a game you had to download, anyway.
Oh, and it had simple 3d graphics; easy for a good computer(back then) to run, not so many polygons.

Yes!
I think it was!
And I remember you could customize at least some textures to some degree; I remember making a drawing, or words, or something to "paint" my machine with.

Call me Mik

There was a site I used to go to, about 6-8 years ago whose purpose was to ready you for the SAT, facilitate higher learning, and then there was a community around that. This was my first site on the web where I had to make an account. I was like 9/10, so I didn't want to put my whole name out there, but still have something I could remember. Mike and Mik were already taken, so I decided I'd just attach some numbers of local significance, and *poof* Mik512 was born.

Mongrel- I went over to a friends house one day, who had live and he set me up an account on his 360 (cause he just has money to blow like that). I rarely went over to his house anyway, so I never got to use this account in all actuality, But at least on his 360 there is a user called Mongrel. I wanted one name across the web, so switched my account name (at the old HS) to Mongrel until it died.

Unglabooboo- A few years later, my brother stopped using his email (that I had always wanted), so I lived under that user-name for a while. I created my account on the second Triblox forums under this name and later changed back to Mongrel, and then to my next name.

Mik- I wanted something easy to type in, and memorable, especially for those like Moo and Appo who I'd been around for a few years now, so I thought about switching back to Mik512. The computer that I had at the time had no working number keys, so I just chopped off the 512, and now we're where we are.

Uxernome : It comes from username I just changed u for U , s for x and a for o .
I originally planned to be " username " on a website for talking about Force Hotel (a Habbo Retro) now dead that was called " EliteDev " but was already taken , then I decided that I'd be Uxernome for all Habbo things I subscribe to . If I accept you call me " Uxer " it is because ppl on the retros I played preferred to write it like that . " Uxernome " is now my username #2 by default . I never register under the pseudonym " Uxer "
