The Start of the Crimson Bang

Barrie Skoot orphan boy from a small unimportant world with a small black templar keep, the chaplain, who wanting one more boy prime for the picking. Walking round the market he saw Barrie fighting hand to hand with a market trader. The 10 year old boy, punching and dodging the blows of the 45 year old man. The chaplain shouted “stop! You boy! Your name?” Barrie, Skoot, sir” panting. “Master Skoot, come with me” the chaplain bellowed. The market trader went to give the Chaplain a loaf of bread and some fruit jelly. The chaplain’s face turns “thank you here is some money for your trouble.”” Oh thank you sire” the man now stepping back. Skoot and the chaplain walked towards the keep.

The boys were all sat down, the chaplain walked in the room. His armour black and his body tall, taller than anything they have ever seen. “Praise the emperor!” the chaplain yelled. “Praise the emperor” the young teens replied with so voice breaking and lack of confidents that this to be expected with young men of their age. The only one who had the confidents was Barrie Skoot. Bellowing back, standing with his hand on his chest, he may as well been holding his heart. He believed he was home.

Being the loudest Barrie was first for the blood testing; his test also took the longest lacking the water in his blood to be a quick flow. The other young men got they’re tests backs first. Most of them passed they’re moved on to the basic training. Two didn’t pass and they were asked politely asked to leave through the rear door.

The chaplain came in with a plain unreadable face. Master Skoot please follow me. “As you know the black templar only pick the best of the warriors from each world every few years.” The chaplain paused for two minutes. Which felt like a live time? “You, young sir, will make a great black templar.”
