Today 2 eggs for breakfast Cream of Chicken Soup for lunch (see recipe here) Spinach & Artichoke Quiche (see recipe here) Snacks - walnuts, carrot & celery sticks with Black Olive tapenade (see recipe) I did sneak a few potato chips today. Each one has 1 gm carbs. That's what happens when you have kids in the house. But these are "better" as they are fried in sunflower oil.

That's OK about the potato chips hb. That's actually what I have when I need to cheat. A perrier with a bowl of plain Lay's potato chips that are cooked in sunflower oil. I don't buy the baked ones because they have so much crapola in the ingredients list, it's unbelievable! So we're sisters in the chips department lol. I also eat them so that I don't go and eat other stuff that I can't have that would be harmful to me, do you know what I mean? Right now if I could stick my chips in a blender while I'm on my soft food diet - I swear I would. I even thought about it while making guacamole lol! Yesterday: Breakfast - Vanilla protein shake Lunch - Veggie drink made in blender without green apple still tasted really good. Dinner - One egg scrambled with olive oil, lots of rice milk to make it really soft. Then I made guacamole and put it in the food processor and ate that with a spoon. Drinks: water and perrier Experiencing some abdominal discomfort and gas but it's probably from my liquid and soft food diet. I'm going to eat some oatmeal or brown rice cereal to help with that. Keep up your good work hb! Naes. |

Yes, I've read the labels. If I HAVE to cheat the Lay's plain are the best way to go I guess, short of making my own! ![]() Yesterday I had leftover quiche for breakfast. Carrots and celery with olive tapenade and a salad with shrimp for lunch Dinner - quiche again! I'm trying to get rid of it. I made 2 and everyone else is kinda' - uuummm this is weird! So, I have to finish it off. It is different to say the least, but not "bad." You are doing great too naes!! The xylitol did a number on both hubby and myself day before yesterday. I was considering taking a spoonfull daily to keep things moving quickly!! haha. I won't it's too painful. I made Gingersnaps yesterday too. Those were good, I snuck a few. I was going to ask you, what does your name mean??? ******************************** Today eggs for breakfast (again). I rotate between fried, scrambled, boiled .... just depends on my mood! ![]() Lunch Chicken Noodle Soup - New recipe on here. I only had one bowl and I need to work out! ![]() Dinner Lemon Asparagus Chicken breast. |

My name? It is part of my daughter's name turned into a silly nickname for when she was really little. Breakfast: Vanilla protein shake Lunch: Oatmeal with rice milk, honey, cinnamon. Good tasting but didn't work for my no chewing diet so I only got through 1/3 of it - I was surprised it was soooo chewy. I'll switch to brown rice cereal or quinoa flakes instead. Dinner: made chicken and veggie soup in crock pot and then food processed it. Tasted good and I got some protein. I know what you mean by having to finish a dish you made because the rest of the family thought it was weird. Even my dh said my soup tastes like chicken water. I say to that - he can eat at fast food restaurants if he wants to. Bah humbug. lol.Drinks: water and perrier and green tea. I am starving!!!! But I'll keep on going.Naes. |

I hate always having to be the one to bring these kinds of things up, but you guys are discussing potato chips fried in sunflower oil like maybe you think they're not as bad as other chips? Have you forgotten about the acrylamide? And the fact that sunflower oil breaks down into toxic substances under heat much faster than a saturated fat? For instance, potatoes fried in lard would be healthier than if they were fried in sunflower oil, or olive oil, or any of those other "vegetable" oils. Not that it makes a great deal of difference if you only eat them once in a great while, but I know sometimes people will latch onto something as being slightly healthier (whether it's actually true or not) and then start eating more and more of it. So I'm posting this just as a heads up, so you know that potato chips in sunflower oil are actually worse than the old kind. Mercola wrote an article about it sometime back -- here's the link. He's got it mostly right this time (sometimes he has major flaws in his "research" but this one's pretty good). http://www.mercola.com/2006/may/23/the_new...deceive_you.htm Anyway, just FYI, in case anyone's interested. ~Lannie |

Thanks for the info on chips - acknowledging and moving on. HB don't frown, like I said before, I'd food process a handful if I could lol.Breakfast: Vanilla protein shake and buckwheat waffles with maple syrup. Bad idea to chew the waffles but I went to bed starving and woke up starving. I felt weak, irritable and sick and I was most concerned with losing weight super-fast in three days and I could start to see a gauntness in my face. So I had to eat something more solid. The last thing I need is to lose my hair or get sick from being malnourished or become anemic. Lunch: Veggie drink Dinner: peas, and rice pasta with homemade tomato sauce. Finally felt full and didn't have to chew quite so much to get there. Drinks: water and coke. And yes I have itchy spots on my face to prove it. So no suuuuuuugaaaaaaaaaaar! Just tried to cope yesterday with soft baby foods and not getting full and losing weight too fast in like three days. So I did a couple stupid things yesterday, but today is a better day. I am having to over do it on the carbs but I can change that once I can chew again in a week and a half. You can't always do everything right all at once. It seems to be give and take. Need to remember to eat some protein today for dinner! Naes. |

Breakfast, I did good, my 2 eggs. Lunch I cheated just a bit and had a small homemade flour tortilla hamburger. Dinner - I fell off the wagon and had 4 Cheese Casserole which is glorified mac 'n cheese! It was sooooo good, but I got blisters under my tounge from the acid! So, I'm back to it today! |

Ok..I will join you guys today.. This is what I pretty much eat everyday cause my brain can't come up with nothing else...haha B--- 2 eggs scrambled soft in coconut oil and a dash of butter. Asparagus I cooked first in it with garlic powder so the eggs had that too. L--Hamburger with a toasted roll...yes that is where I cheat..I am tired of not having something normal and it holds me for a while. D--well not in the mood for veggies or salad so I am having my mashed avocado with store bought salsa..the fresh kind..with a store bought tortilla toasted with olive oil and sea salt. Not that hungry today.. Haha..usually eat more then that...well just a salad more.. I really need to eat more cause everyone is saying I am losing weight and too skinny..well ...I like the weight I am at but would like not to lose more and maybe add about 2-4 pounds but no more then I feel uncomfortable and slow moving. And what is the deal...they say not to eat after a certain time..but I eat just about everyday up until 9-10 O'clock. I don't start eating until about 11 or 12 noon. I drink water all morning with lemon or iodine whatever I feel my body is calling for. |
