POWERS AND SKILLS
Powers:
Trans-Dimensional Travel/Tackle: Morgan has a power somewhat comparable to teleportation, though different in a few aspects. First, his travel time is not instant. He creates a 'funnel' between his position and his target position, in which he moves through extremely quickly. When he arrives at his target, he is able to loose a burst of forceful energy comparable to that of a car moving at 80mph. While traveling, Morgan is invulnerable to harm. He can funnel through walls, people, or anything else without adverse effects on him or whatever he passes through. He uses this to travel, but can also while fighting. If he funnels toward an enemy, most would end up with broken bones or worse.
Minor Automatic Gravity Control: Like his sister, Morgan has a small degree of control over gravity. His brain has automatically created functions (like breathing) that use this power. Morgan cannot be hurt by falls, and is faster than the normal person, clocking in at 30mph at a full sprint.

Power Weaknesses or Limitations: Morgan's power has a range limitation of 100m and can only be used once every 7 seconds. In addition, Morgan's power does not allow instant travel. There is still a degree of time when travelling, so his charge can be dodged. Morgan also cannot change direction mid-travel; he must come out of the funnel where he originally marked that to be, then use it again. Additionally, Morgan can't carry anyone with him. If anyone were to hold on to him while he used his power, he'd simply slip from grasp.
Power Source: Morgan doesn't 'use' anything to perform his power. He pictures a target location, then his brain automatically does the rest.
Fighting Skills / Disciplines: No formal disciplines, though has experience in street brawls. He can both throw and take a punch, and incorporates his power into his fighting style
Other Skills: Morgan has experience with petty crime. He can hot wire a car, pick a lock, and knows where to get fake credentials and contraband.

PERSONALITY
Personality: Typically cocky and arrogant, but is willing and able to emulate other traits tog et what he wants.
Psychological Weaknesses: Has a fixation on proving himself better than his sister. His actions usually reflect that
Goals: Show up his sister Katherine, or force her to fail.
Allegiances: Those who facilitate his goals

HISTORY
Morgan is the younger offspring of Jack and Madeline Vanderveer. The Vanderveers are an influential family who have been successful lawyers, doctors, and business people for generations. Just by having the name, Morgan was sure to be a success, though he never let that happen so easily.

Growing up, Morgan was easily the problem child of the siblings. He was smart, but never applied himself, instead choosing to associate with a shady crowd. When he fell into petty crime, his sister didn't just try to talk him out of it; she'd often help clean up whatever mess he landed himself in. Rather than show gratitude, Morgan always held his sister in contempt. When his sister was found to be a metahuman, he was more than happy to help her get away from L.A.

Ironically, Morgan discovered his powers only two years later. Enamored with the childhood fantasies of heroism, he began helping people and fighting crime with his powers. He honed his skills with his powers for the next few years until his sister returned from New York. When he approached his sister about trying to help people with their powers, she scolded him, to his surprise. Morgan was a 17 year old kid, and Katherine claimed he had no business even using his powers publicly; he was just going to get people hurt. Enraged, he cut his sister out of his life, and continued his vigilantism.

One day, Kat and Morgan found themselves at the same crime scene: a bank. Kat tried to warn Morgan away, but Morgan wouldn't listen. The two dispatched all but one of the bank robbers, who held a woman at gunpoint. The robber made a bargain: let him leave, and he'd release the girl. Kat agreed, but Morgan did not. Morgan used his powers to jump behind the robber and the woman, and knocked them down with a wave of force. Only, when he turned around, their bodies were crumpled; they were obviously dead. Horrified, Morgan fled.

When Kat finally found him, their talk quickly turned into an argument. In a fit of rage, Kat blamed the entire thing on Morgan. Their argument quickly came to blows, and eventually the two separated for good. Morgan went out on his own, and their parents blamed his disappearance on Kat. Kat only blamed herself for the way she handled the situation.

Meanwhile, Morgan isolated himself. A mix of guilt, hatred, and good ole' teenage angst drove him to selfish desires. If he couldn't help people, he'd only help himself. And, of course, there was still his sister to deal with. Sooner or later, he'd have to pull her off her high horse...
