Welcome to History 101

My name is Eddie Negron and I am teaching this History class to your child/student. There are a few reasons for the making of this website, one being that it is intended to help students and parents of students stay more connected to the lessons in class as well as the homework provided. This would probably be the most important reason behind the making of this website. It calls for more Parent/Teacher/Student relationships during the course of this school year.

For Students:

The purpose of this website for students is to give students the benefit of being able to come to this website and review the work we have done in class. This is probably the biggest reason behind the making of this website for the students. Absent students will be able to come to the website and catch up on any work missed in class as well as chat with students about work they missed and get assistance from The professor as well. You are encouraged to read all the material posted, it will be organized so you can easily access what you want to find. Students are also encouraged to ask me questions personally or you can ask a question in the general discussion area of the board. That part of the board is for questions and comments you have that you feel is too important for a 1 on 1 chat with the professor. Students also have the added benefit of submitting late work through this website, all you have to do with submit it in a Personal Message (PM) to the Professor and I will get it.

For Parents:

This website is not only for the students but for the parents of these students as well. Parents are encouraged to do all they can to be apart of their child's academic career and here I am offering you a chance to see first hand what lessons I am teaching, what subjects we are covering, what homework or other assignments your child has been given as well. With this website, parents will be able to keep track of their child's progress in class. Parents will also be able to contact the Professor any time they need to, no more waiting for parent teacher conferences to ask how your child is doing. I believe that a more involved parent can help keep their child focus and eventually help them to move forward.
